I don't think people who call tunes which have a certain vibe 'neurofunk' are smartarses or fags and here's why; to me, 'neuro' suggests brain, like neurosurgery. Add the funk, and it speaks for itself - funkyass motherfuckin brainwaves in the form of sound. Don't think you could apply that to Pendulum or Netsky, because their baselines aren't funky and futuristic, so much as catchy or smooth and chilled.

There's a reason we have sub-genres... When i want neurofunk i dont search 'drum and bass'

Every different genre demands other production styles, where the artist can still be creative, and make his own style. Xilent is clearly neurofunk, not only because his music sounds like it, but also because he says it himself. It's the same as saying a dnb track is actually dubstep.

That being said, I don't listen to music because it is part of that or that genre, but because I like the music.
