Only thing to get used to is the back window, its almost vertical and hard to park, you def use the back up camera to park, its easier. Not to mention the gas guzzler tax of $1,500.00 up front, recaro seats for 7 grand more and Brembo brakes. You dont need recaro seats just get the regular cts coupe seats it will save you alot of money. This car turns heads all day

I really like BMWs, but the CTS-V . . . I love that car. Even when I see a regular CTS, I stare at it, almost walking into things. It's a perfect marriage of refinement, power and the style is so awesome. I Can't wait to see what they do with the next-gen CTS. It's going to use GM's Alpha platform, making the car lighter, faster, better fuel economy and more agile. Can't wait!
I never had any major reliability issues with my modern American cars...my VW and BMW on the other hand had constant expensive repairs. However all of these cars are great to drive and problems do not turn me away from models...I am not an average person who worries about consumer reports ratings moreso that enjoying a car.

Handling ... hard to say as it has so much more power ... de-tune it to ~450 and then you would be able to tell how it really handle. Better buy than M3 ... most likely (if you are ok with the look/interior). Daily drive ... would say M3 have the edge there, but BMW need to step it up with M3 F80 to stay in the lead.

The old ones look great but not a fan of the drive, then came the mustang II which is just shit, then came the fox body which is ugly, then some weird bubble car, then a decentish looking car that didn't perform, then an ugly one that still didn't perform finally the 2011 stang feels good to drive. Trust me I come from an import background, its a good car.

And after driving the cts-v sedan I was very disappointed. Its fast but very uncomfortable and unrefined. Thats why I prefer the M5 or XF-R as the sports sedan, and as far as these coupes, if I had to buy new boss 302. Personal option, grab an used 997 911 carrera 2s.
@fatzebra1 I would say that Cadillac have done a lot on the handling side ... BMW could do the same with F80 and drop the 560hp V8 in there ... will they ... 99% sure they wont :( (but Hartage and others will). Same to say for the Mustang 302 ... or is it just the tires here that make it handle (given it's live axel). It will for sure have issues to get power down in turns when it's wet. BMW used to have a huge lead ... no so much any longer ... PICK IT UP GUYS !!!
The great advantadge the american industry has over Europe/Asia is the ability to produce giant V8s for the price other countries have for 4banger econoboxes.
I actually have driven both of these cars... I liked both... even drove the same model years. Ultimately ended up with the BMW because I liked just how "pointable" the nose was. There was far less understeer, and it's ability to change direction made me fall in love with it.
The bm looks like a womens car. I'll give that to my daughter. Now the Cadillac is fire..styling is sick...BMW used to be hot but the ergonomics are wack..and played out. Gotta go with the caddy

I really like BMWs, but the CTS-V . . . I love that car. Even when I see a regular CTS, I stare at it, almost walking into things. It's a perfect marriage of refinement, power and the style is so awesome. I Can't wait to see what they do with the next-gen CTS. It's going to use GM's Alpha platform, making the car lighter, faster, better fuel economy and more agile. Can't wait!

I never had any major reliability issues with my modern American cars...my VW and BMW on the other hand had constant expensive repairs. However all of these cars are great to drive and problems do not turn me away from models...I am not an average person who worries about consumer reports ratings moreso that enjoying a car.

even the most arrogant and ignorant car press people in germany have not only acknowledged cadillac since the current gen.CTS and especially the V-Series,some have even openly praised it and admitted that it is at least as good or even better overall than what BMW has to offer with its M models , Mercedes with the AMGs and Audi with its RS models. being from germany and knowing how things and folks are in this country that actually means something! Cadillac has been on a big resurgence no doubt!

You know what? I'm a big fan of the German automakers. In light of GM's difficulties financially over the last few years, offering the consumer more bang for their buck is a great move.
Nobody ever credits American automakers with anything, but if you do some research, they're probably the greatest contributors to the automotive realm than anyone else.
The Caddie is the same price as the BMW with 150 MORE hp and all the same luxury amenities AND a better warranty....

@rehsa2194 I disagree with you there ... CTS-V ... power, acceleration yes... looks no, interior hell no (but much better than the old one I have to agree). Handling ... hard to say as it has so much more power ... de-tune it to ~450 and then you would be able to tell how it really handle. Better buy than M3 ... most likely (if you are ok with the look/interior). Daily drive ... would say M3 have the edge there, but BMW need to step it up with M3 F80 to stay in the lead.

The old ones look great but not a fan of the drive, then came the mustang II which is just shit, then came the fox body which is ugly, then some weird bubble car, then a decentish looking car that didn't perform, then an ugly one that still didn't perform finally the 2011 stang feels good to drive. Trust me I come from an import background, its a good car.

And after driving the cts-v sedan I was very disappointed. Its fast but very uncomfortable and unrefined. Thats why I prefer the M5 or XF-R as the sports sedan, and as far as these coupes, if I had to buy new boss 302. Personal option, grab an used 997 911 carrera 2s.

@fatzebra1 I would say that Cadillac have done a lot on the handling side ... BMW could do the same with F80 and drop the 560hp V8 in there ... will they ... 99% sure they wont :( (but Hartage and others will). Same to say for the Mustang 302 ... or is it just the tires here that make it handle (given it's live axel). It will for sure have issues to get power down in turns when it's wet. BMW used to have a huge lead ... no so much any longer ... PICK IT UP GUYS !!!

I actually have driven both of these cars... I liked both... even drove the same model years. Ultimately ended up with the BMW because I liked just how "pointable" the nose was. There was far less understeer, and it's ability to change direction made me fall in love with it.

@Dvance30 I guess peoples taste are way different ... CTS-V is something I would expect granny to drive ... looks like it belong in the 50's on a gravel road going 8 mph ... fugly as hell. GM should invest in a computer so they can make non-straight lines on the car. Same with ergonomics ... never drove a better long haul car than M3's (Audi is up there as well, and new C63 fixed their seats). Caddy seats are too wide (made for fat butts), and you slide out of them ... too bad.
