The ceremony itself from the vows,rings,love,sex, having children, etc. symbolizes all aspects of what marriage was created for and orginally was about under God. Marriage also is originally a religious ceremony that America adopted into it's culture because of it's Judeo-Christian roots. Civil unions can have all the rights as married couples do without changing the definition.

People in civil unions CANNOT file a joint income tax return, and businees don't have to give the couple partner benefits as they do for married couples.

I'm sure it's pretty simple to put those provisions in the tax codes as well as the state law without changing the meaning of marriage. This is all just a ploy to pour out hate against those who don't accept gay marriage. America adopted this ceremony that's been around before it even existed. Not the other way around. There are provisions to make civil unions just as equal. They all just want more until they crush the beliefs and the foundation of what marriage has been and always will be.

The Mormon church also has an adoption agency in MA. They do not place children with gays. This is completely legal becuase UNLIKE Catholic charities, the Mormon adoption agency is NOT accepting government funds.

Catholic Charities Adoptions were run with government funding, THAT's why they were in violation of state law.
