I've had this vehicle for years and love it! This is almost exactly the same way I acquired it. You have to drive real fast to make it to the garage in time.

when i was playing the getaway black monday i was driving and i bumped into a cardboard box and the police radio said "major car crash" -_-

hey great great tutorial! thanks, is there anyway to get the vauxhall astra you drive in the first chase on special features?

I'm sure I saw it on the roads when driving in a misson but couldnt find it and therefore couldnt save it!!

Yeh it's unfortunate. I guess they didn't bother adding sound to it as they didn't plan on anyone driving it in the game as it's only available as a burnt out car, but taking it to the garage fixes that ;) But yeh kinda weird driving a car thats silent

i got a question ... Anyone know how to get the Rover which you drive in the police race ?

You can't. I have managed to drive some cars from the races to a save garage but since there is no way of exiting the car during a race you are unable to save the car.

Before I could reach the garage, the game stopped and it states "you lost the helicopter!

I wanted to store it in Leo's garage.

Try to ram the police car away from the shootout as soon as possible so you dont trigger the helicopter part.

If it doesnt automatically save (the little yellow save icon flashes on the screen) after you leave the garage, try manually saving the game.

yeh mate you can use it in free roam. just save it in your garage like i did in this video and then in free roam mode go to the garage you saved it in and you can get in it and drive it.
