After just finishing a terrible 48 hour film in our fine city of Minneapolis, I appreciate this movie even more. It also hurt to have a crew not very experienced in filmmaking, but it was still tons of fun. We also realized that we should have written a straight up comedy, cause thats what all our writers are best at. Also, we shouldn't have drawn sci-fi.
Congratulations to everyone who worked on this film! Birthmarked For Death will be screened at the Cannes International Film Festival, May 19th, in the Short Film Corner.
Oh man, you weren't there! That film was a joy to watch, I loved it. The writing was awesome and the actors carried out the writing to the tee. Excellent work.
You guys should know that when this film was screened at the Miami International Film Festival, the audience response was huge. I wish you had been there to see it!
Cool video. But I'd be interested to know - was this already written and memorized and the locations picked out before the 48 hours started? And then all you had to do was film it? And did you guys get any sleep? Just wondering. Good job. (And how'd you do the sound? It's studio quality.)
I can vouch for this being written, shot, etc in 48 hours. The trunk, car, and poker scene were all shot in the same location, so that made things a little easier. As for the sound... Cully is possessed by Auras, the Greek god of sound recording. When angered, he lets out a deafening 1kHz tone.
This is an AWESOME film done in 48hrs! The car scene took the cake. Can't say enough about shots. Very professional.Very Goodfellas! I'll leave it to the imagination of what it would have been like as a full feature. Nice Job!
Interesting stuff!
