Faith no more and Red Hot chilli peppers have nothing in common other than on some songs FNM used strong bass lines. FNM are a experimental Rock / Metal band whereas RHCP were a rock band with major funk (type of soul) influencies. RHCP has more in common with Living Colour or Michael Bolton!!! The only things that ripped off RHCP were 'we care alot' and the Mike Pattons dancing.

let me say that both bands kick ass, and it doesn't matter who was first because it doesn't change the fact that they kick ass, but dude you are so wrong, this song was on their first album along with we care alot which came out in 87, by then the chillis already had three albums out, the first "Red Hot Chilli Peppers" in 83, then "Freaky Styley" in 84, and still a third album called "The Uplift Mofo Party Plan" that came out in 86, all three before FNM's "Introduce Yourself"
