  • If you want to hear what the Angel can really sound like go to the Guitar Pickups page of Fingerpick Magazine.

  • this wood sucks

  • I have a Dimarzio Reference. While the reference never sounded super acoustic, I honestly think the reference sounds much better compared to this. This is nice too, but I am not sure the logic behind making it go with a piezo (I think a sound board transducer would have made much more sense). I never liked the quack that piezo produced.

  • The magnetic soundhole pickup looks an awful lot like a LR Baggs M1a, (the Takamine TriAx is a licensed variation of the Baggs.) Makes me wonder... The sound quality on this video is pretty bad, needs some serious EQ'ing. Electric players should learn how to get a good sound out of acoustics... Anyway, Dimarzio makes a lot of great products, I wonder how it'll sound properly EQ;d and in person.

  • Sounds like shit to me... Better use a mic. Dimarzio should stay producing ToneZone :* :* :* And other electric guitar pickups. This is my opinion.

  • this guy never fails to bore me

  • That sounds fantastic. Imagine what it sounds like in person

  • What`s that rattling sound?

  • @PhilipPorter when guitar strings acoustic or electric sit too low to the fretboard sometime when u press them they buzz against the fret. just replaced a string on my fender and it does that while all the others dont. but at closer inspection it sits lower than the others

  • @PhilipPorter That's the strings buzzing against the frets. They also do it if you hit the strings hard

  • i heard this guitar live and this video doesn't even come close to its sound.

  • One thing i dont like about acoustic pickups and electric acoustic guitars is that they sound too stringy.I like the sound of an acoustic guitar thats played in person all naturally, thats why I like micing an acoustic guitar because it brings out the warmth of the woods out that electric acoustic and acoustic pickups can't get.

  • PICKUP MAKIN COMPANY NOW MAKIN' GUITARS HAHAHAHA

  • this is really cool...i thought for a second that the guitar was mic'd...but wow...that pickup system is really right on with the sound of a mic'd acoustic...i want it now

  • Nice chord progression.

  • not grate

  • I really like it , as we know wood used on the guitar is very important to match the tone would love to put one of these into my electrics for a great acoustic tone but thats wishful thinking. a Piezo bridge seems the better option.

  • sounds gute

  • It's "pee-et-so", Paul.

  • Sounds good but how is the install?

  • Impressive

  • They should've let is hear the martin before they put that pickup in there

  • anyone know what song he was playing in the beginning? pretty cool!

  • I think he's gay

  • @picko002 Ya and so what if he is? It doesn't detract from his playing ability does it!

  • So far Ive never heard acoustic system that Id like..

  • The pick-up just makes the guitar sound too thin and trebly...I like a little bit more Bass and mids in my Amplified acoustic.

  • Nothing beats an acoustic mic'd with a Shure SM-57

  • "Pie-zo" Smooth, Paul.

  • paul its not fair, its just not fair :(

  • nice chords ;)

  • lol everyone shits on these guitarworld videos :P

  • i think it sounds the same as my fishman: presis+ pickup.

  • he sharps his notes because he picks so hard

  • Sounds great

  • Ok who exactly are you trying to defend?, DiMarzio for sucking at acoustic pickups or Guitar World for sucking at demos?, because I'm pretty sure we've seen acoustic demos that sound far superior to this one, and they're pretty old by now, and what's up with "try it yourself"?, come on, I'm watching an online demo for Christ sake, why do you think I'm doing that?! -_-

  • 3:50 sounded great!

  • Same here

  • FIRST !!!

  • @theelectricmsh yess..... congradulation... any success in life?

  • @abidyo ugh again with those serious people who take everything seriously

surprizingly i use youtube for fun in my free times rather than take it seriously

i hope youtube is ur job

  • @theelectricmsh lol c'mon I was joking too u no... it's kinda like reverse joke thing, nobody should take youtube seriously

  • I'm listening to this through great speakers and to be honest it doesn't seem anything special..

  • @AcousticBeaver You're listening to a YouTube video uploaded by Guitar World.

It's had more compression than a sofa cushion with Oprah sitting on it.

  • @22FretsIsNotEnough That made my day hahaha!

  • @22FretsIsNotEnough I agree with your point, but not your name.22 is plenty.

  • @22FretsIsNotEnough Haha I agree about the fact that we can't expect a guitar to sound that amazing on a YouTube video :P

  • @Chaos23x In PGS's videos they do...

  • @AcousticBeaver Try it yourself. GW isn't exactly known for having quality sound in their demos..

  • @AcousticBeaver Youtube makes the video quality go down. the best way to hear it is to buy the guitar world mag and use the cd

  • @acer993 they dont do CDs anymore.
