This is very nice video of czech Skoda legend called "Stocker". It was great heavy powerfull freight loco (max 2200hp)... thanks fo videos from Czech republic with this beatiful legend...
@MrFlaizer Thank you for your comment. Until recently the only Skoda we knew in England was a cheap and not very reliable car, to think that they built such great steam locomotives is amazing.
@ralph5407 :) Skoda has produced many of the most beautiful steam locos in Europe, maybe you know other legends like blue "Albatros" 498.0 (4-8-2), green "Mikado" 398.0( 4-6-2) or black "Petasedma"(seventyfive) 475.1 (4-8-2) and this "Stocker" 556.0 (2-10-0). Beatiful sharp sound of theese locos made exhaust system device called Kylchap.
@MrFlaizer I have seen pictures of the others you mention but the one in my video is the only one I have seen, photographed and travelled behind. The first sight we had was the one on the video where it came storming up the single line to the crossing. As you will have seen from the end of the video, I was also lucky enough to get a ride on the footplate, Stunning.
Thanks Bob, yes I did have a bit of trouble with the mic, it's on an arm at the side of the camera and it worked loose and came into view without me realising.
