Nothing wrong with communities banding together because the power of using the money is closer to the people.

Yes community control; but there must be a national framework to optimize technology and protect consumers from abuse. The marketplace simply does not work with healthcare. It forces our docs to prosititute their services, rationing service to the highest bidder, while operating a practical monopoly over the service at the "point of sale". Free business to focuse on their business with a good national system.

Yes, we do have problems now, but I say ask DOCTOR Ron Paul, not you, about how to improve health care. The last thing I want is Washington DC in charge of my health. (Well, next to last; having the UN in charge of it would be the ultimate foolishness.) The FDA is a good current example of the problem with your plan. Big pharma > FDA.

The relationship between citizenry, government, and corporation is extremely important. I would argue that at the present time both of the latter are foxes; neither is trustworthy. The proper relationship is citizens overseeing gov and gov overseeing corps; status quo AFAICS is citizens meekly submitting to gov and corps buying politicians to control gov.
