  • I guess i have found my favourite reggae tune. I love this!! No matter who sings but it sure sounds GREAT. Like good old times. JAH BLESS!!

  • Well that's a cool thing :)

  • The guy who is singing is definitely Bunny Wailer, Peter is helping with harmony and I believe the one who who starts off the song is Bob. This is one of my favorite songs, a very warm piece.

  • * * * * *

  • BIG TUNE!!

  • This is Bunny Wailer on this tune, Bob was living in Delaware with his mother at this time. Please credit this as "The Wailers" out of respect for Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer

  • obviously not bob or bob but that doesn't stop it being good reggae

  • I think that Bob Marley it's not a women ¬¬

  • This is Bob Marley's voice . It's def not Bunny Wailer.

  • @AV7482 Bob Marley was living in Delaware USA with his mother when this was recorded, Bunny Wailer is singing lead on this one.

  • like this if ur high

  • this is bobs voice

  • God bob dylan sounds so good in reggae!

  • @ michelcastelobranco & all the others: Seems like you don't know the early Bob Marley! THIS IS BOB MARLEY!!!!! That time he never wear dreadlocks - he was a "soul head" then!!! Check him on Beverlys Label or just search for Bob Marley - early 60's - You will see & hear! I am sitting here with a person who knew Bob personally - so you better believe it!!!! SEEEN?

  • besides Hendrix this is the most creative cover I've herd yet.

  • Fckin dynamite...doesnt matter if it's Bob, Bunny, Peter or the guy next door. Class.

  • it must be bunny cause I covered this in 1981 with 'ballroom floor'.

  • Not Marley's voice at all, pretty sure it's Bunny Wailer.

  • i love this song so much!!!

  • First is Rita Marley singing before they got married. And yes the other one is Marley.

  • that's not marley

  • Actually neither Junior Braithwaite (who had long since left the Wailers) nor Bob Marley (who was in Delaware at the time) appear on this track. It's Bunny singing lead, and backing him up are Peter Tosh and Vision Walker (Rita Marley's cousin who filled in for Bob during his time in America).

  • What album is??

EN que albun se encuentra esta cancion(Song)

    Sorry mi inglish

  • @ChristianRootsMan

i believe youre right on actually i forgot to consider the others of the original wailers

    good feelin ;)

    habits.

  • The woman singing will be Cherry and Beverly, early members of the Wailers and I'm pretty sure the lead singer is Junior Braithewaite since he had the highest pitch voice plus he was the lead vocalist before leaving.

  • zajebiste

  • @michelcastelobranco

Bob is singing, so is Bunny, and so is peter. Bunny takes lead, Bob comes in at 00:32, and peter is backing up both of them on the verses and chorus.

this is wailer's style. ya'll have to just feel it to know it

listen to "Let Him Go" by the wailers, maybe it'll change ur mind

  • @rudynrascal Are you sure that the singer isn't Junior Braithwaite? since he had the highest pitch voice in the Wailers?

  • tune!

  • @woolu7 a binner mate of mine said the same thing

  • TUUUUUUUUUNEEEEE

  • I got this album from my grandpa...It is Bunny Livingstone in lead

  • lol he did rolling stone too?? i didnt know that

  • I prefer the Dylan's version :)

  • if you listen to the early wailers recordings you will of course recognize bunny, peter and bob voices, the three of them, you deafs

  • last night i was rolling pretty stoned alright

  • this isnt bob marley.

  • @losvaliants shutup. you're retarded

  • beautiful

  • This is definately the Wailing Wailers. Bob, Peter, and Bunny.

  • FANTASTIC!

  • This isn't Bob wtf are you people doing?

  • Bob Marley loved Bob Dylan and covered some of his songs. Let's all just listen and enjoy both amazing artists.

  • Hell man... Genius cover.

  • la mea version de un clasico, me gusta esta version al mas puro estilo jamaicano.

  • u can tell this is not marley just listen

  • Comment removed

  • @alexventure respect dude, its not like hendrix an marley never wrote their own music, no wrong in a cover

  • @alexventure your right, thats why vampire weekend and broken social seen are way better than the bob's and hendrix, because they don't enjoy playing great songs, they also don't enjoy playing their instruments or singing with any skill either...

  • Although blasphemous to some, I actually prefer the Wailers' version to Bob Dylan's original. This is one of those songs I can listen to over and over on endless repeat.

  • Great description for the video! I remember when I first found out Bob Marley did a version of this song, I about flipped, I was already a massive fan of both Bob Dylan and Bob Marley. Two gifts from God to the people of this world!

  • Never heard this. Marley is like James Brown. People think they have heard all he did, but they haven't.

  • @RikJamezBich And it's nealry impossible to get BOTH of their old stuff!

  • anyways, this is still some good reggae

  • Who of us is a rolling stone? Smile

  • @kominar71 :]

  • its both of them

  • Are you smoking something? =) That's Wailers' old style, but... everybody knows Bob's voice and this is not him, and not even get close... And it's not Peter's, neither. It could be Bunny. Anyway, it's a wonderful (and historic) recording. Thanks for posting!

  • @michelcastelobranco It is definately Bob singing the chorus and just before. I've got this song on "The Wailing Wailers at Studio 1." Sounds different, but he was really young. Its how he sounds throughout all those old songs.

  • @LibertarianLion Actually, according to the complete Wailers discography, Bunny sings lead and Bob is not on the recording, although it sounds incredibly like him on the chorus and second half of the verse. This was recorded during Bob's 8-month trip to America, resulting in his absence. Bunny even re-recorded another version years later apparently.

  • @michelcastelobranco never is this marley

  • @michelcastelobranco Naw you smoking crack. If you smoke the herb you will KNOW This is The beautiful Wailing Wailers.

  • @PZappa420 I don't smoke crack, and I'm seeing "Bob Marley" in the title. Not "Wailing Wailers" or even "Wailers". Of course it's a Wailers' song, what I said is that is not Bob in the vocals. I think it's Bunny (Wailer), as you can see in my comment. See again! Anyway, it's very good! Bunny's voice is awesome. Some people think Wailers is only Bob, but there is still more in Wailers, we can't forget that.

  • @michelcastelobranco What are you smoking ? Ofcourse this is Bob singing. I'm not sure who the woman singing is? This is the Wailers as they're best.

  • @PZappa420 Enough... there is NOT a woman singing. This is Bunny Wailer in the begin lead, and he is a man, right? And again, it's not just Bob singing, but of course he's there, too. This song is track 17 in album "At The Studio One vol.2" (1966) by Bob Marley and The Wailers. Just google it! And search for Bunny biography and listen some of his songs, too. Jah bless you, man!

  • @michelcastelobranco actually, if you've ever listened to his stuff from when he was a teenager, it sounds just like this, such as a tune called one cup of coffee, magga dog, and others, this is bob

  • @michelcastelobranco all i do is smoke wayyyd

  • Comment removed

  • @michelcastelobranco Sorry but I think he is really Bob Marley with the Wailers but the very young voice i can't get who is.

  • the fake bob playing the real bob

  • This is awesome, R.I.P. Bob!!!

  • everybody loves bob dylan. and bob marley. the bob's.

  • wrong --he knows nothing of it

  • this is bunny wailer not bob marley

  • laen rasanya kalo versi rege....asyik...pengen goyang aja broer...

  • My foot is tapping feverishly right now. :) Peace.

  • Bob Marley was a musical saint.

  • The lead singer is not Bob Marley it's Bunny Wailer!

  • see my band rocks agent only played very good, like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and others, comment and subscribe evaluates. Thank you. Just logged into my account and look for my band! ... thanks

  • R.I.P Bob Marley :(

  • SHOW SUPPORT PROPOSITION 19

  • @andrew123roots i think u're right,i did listen to it again,it's bob.thanks

  • this not bob marley.

  • @brelomar yes, is 'Bob Marley and The Wailing Wailers' in a version from 1966, when he still had a acute voice, because he was only 21 years old ..

  • @brelomar It is Bob Marley, that's how he did sing in the 60's.

  • @MrGeorgesProfonde im pretty much 100% sure it is bunny!

  • @MrGeorgesProfonde Uh no this is bunny trust me

  • @hendrix950 Ok i believe you.But maybe Bob is in the choirs (with Peter Tosh)?

  • @MrGeorgesProfonde I think maybe, I really don't know just from listening but there are some back up singers that are women

  • This is not Bob marley, and this is not the "Like a rolling stone" song of Bob Dylan an Jimmy Hendrix (by the way, 'like a rolling stone' was composed by Bob Dylan).

    Good song anyway.

  • @syal

This really is a young Bob Marley in the 1960s. He did sound different in his early days. He rewrote the verses of Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" and kept the choruses. Greil Marcus wrote a book called "Invisible Republic" about Dylan & The Band's "Basement Tapes" where he writes about Marley's version of this song. Great book, great song no matter who's singing it.

  • @bkirk918

Really? Yeah, the voice of one of the singers sounds like the one of a young Bob Marley... Thank you very much for the information, I could'nt recognize the lyrics of the verses but it's true the chorus is the same than Bob Dylan's song. Glad to know this version.

  • wtf like a rolling stone is a hendrix song

  • its actually a bob dylan song

  • @TheAlex445

Do you really not know who wrote "Like A Rolling Stone?" It's one of the biggest songs of all time.

  • @TheAlex445 it's by bob dylan you dumb fuck, it is the greatest rock song of all time.

  • @TheAlex445 *facepalm*

  • @TheAlex445 It's Dylan, so was All Along the Watchtower...

  • @TheAlex445 hendriy covered the song.its bob dylans song.

  • For the love of God how hard is it to find Bob Dylan singing a Bob Dylan song on YouTube ? This version is good but YouTube need to sort out their search so you can actually find what you want and not just covers.

  • @bigupmericeandpeas you can't find bob dylan because he has a licence on songs and don't want to put it on you tube. fuck it,i'm angry too!

  • This is not bob marley, seriously listen to the voice! thats not him!

  • THANK you WILDY and SWEETLY!!!

  • this isnt bob marley.

  • Nobody told you was to roam the street, but that's what happens when you lie and cheat

  • wow this version is alot shorter

    its good tho

  • Je ne la connaissais pas cette version, pas mal !

  • i have this song on studio one 1962-1964 classic bob nesta

  • The first time?????? my god...

  • supper lieder.werden auch immer gut sein!

  • Yeah i'm preeety sure that's bunny wailer singing... Unless bob was 12 when this was recorded :D. good song though

  • @welcomestop Bunny Wailer is the lead vocalist in this fabulous recording of the

Wailers early in their career - sometimes B. Marley can be mistaken for the lead.

Bunny has a slightly softer tone. You can hear B. Marley in the background singing the higher voice countepart to Tosh's low bass/baritone voice. They had such a unbelievable harmony (when they meshed) - it may well rank as music

history's most provocative vocal harmony trio to have ever come to being. Hallmark ,individual sound.

  • Beatles say, Dylan shows the way

  • 1 love love it

  • chale es una caca , el mejor es con Bob dylan

  • que culero se oye

  • i promise you jimi hendrex and bob marley both got high together... lol

  • I sure hope they did!

  • thanks, this is rare.

  • this is guys were anything but primitive musically...they also heard a wide variety of american popular music through a couple of high power am radio stations that they picked up like wwl from new orleans...listen to Fats Domino's record "Be My Guest" and you will get some idea of what was influencing musicians in Jamaica in this era

  • from Bob to Bob there is none like Bob

  • perfect proof that these guys although on a small island in the caribbean werent in the dark, its cool thought thinking of the wailers chucking on a dylan record back in 66

  • A lot of us care, so thanks for sharing about that.

  • don't care who sings this, great song

  • bob dylan was given the mantle greatest songwriter of the twentieth centruy MORE by the fact Hendrix and Marley sung his songs than anything his fans thought, any chart position, or any critics review

  • According to the Robert Nesta Marley website (which is not the official website but pretty reliable anyhow) this is Bunny Wailer's lead vocal.

  • @A2Z83 the voice at beginning that is softer is bob..the deeper one is bunny

  • @mskrys419 wrong brethren don't be spreading lies, peter had the lowest voice, bunny the highest, bob was in between...ever wondered why the harmony was good? Because all three could produce a full chord with their voices. Bunny starts off, 0:30 is bob, bob sings lead

  • @orangekush3 I aint ya bredren

  • @orangekush3 but it is not really important ? the music is good and it is not a problem if it is from bob or from bunny, i think so

  • The ska songs are usually when Bob was a member of The Wailers before it became "Bob Marley & The Wailers". BUT just because its The Wailers does not mean its Marley so watch out. The Wailers had I think 3 different vocalists including Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer.

  • yo not really ska more some rocksteady

  • still bob dylan rocks at this song:)

  • agree

  • Great! but in moments sounds like La Bamba D:

  • nice xD pure Ska

  • @RockMusicChannel25 thats not ska, thats reggae, ska is faster.

  • not all ska is faster

  • Great version!

But I think that's not Bob Marley...

  • @foxfire180 the wailers man!

  • Me too

  • first time hearing it also, SICKNESS. great version

  • Wow , never knew Bob covered this. It's class !!

  • @mikmc, check the album "One Love" full of these gems.

  • this is the first time ive ever heard bob marley wow didnt know he was so gud

  • @poopyhead002

whaaaaa? well im glad you finally heard him. theres no going back now!! haha

  • @poopyhead002 really? youre first time? well i think it wount be the last :)

  • @eduardderdritte yea im a really big fan now

  • @poopyhead002

    wow....

  • @poopyhead002 well my friend, now that you've opened that door, you'll see you can't get out, you're gonna love it! :)

  • @poopyhead002 what rock have you been living under!! Marley is LEGEND!

  • @poopyhead002 Well, you must be very young then.

  • @poopyhead002

how can you never heard bob marley before ?

  • @poopyhead002 look up three little birdies

  • @poopyhead002 and i also pray that you know this is not the original

  • so great... good and lifted right now feeling these vibes! dylan's original is great but this is my isht.

  • yep, that's bob, and the wailers. get a copy of their early ska stuff, and you'll find it. xo

  • Cool never heard this,is this really Bob?

    Anywho, it;s sounds great!

    Greetz from Holland (rollin'& smokin')

  • awesome

  • This is definitely Bob when he was in in late teens early twenties, in his ska days before he went to reggae.

  • hes doing the chorus this is 66 so he'd only be 21 listen to one cup of coffee and judge not he recorded those when he was 17, so its defdinetly him

  • he recorded judge not when he was 16 I guess

  • Bunny is singing lead

  • bob Marley covering bob Dylan...Doesn't really get much better than that

  • This is Bob Marley no doubt
