  • smooth groove!, thanks for sharing

  • @gulducot Thanks a lot.

  • The 2box Drumit 5 beats the shit out of TD-20. Roland doesn´t even have alternating samples!!! Check this out to see what I mean....watch?v=YpjZWujoTDY

  • I love this kit. But the kit is only as good as the man - great job sir! :)

  • nice groove seriously.. and of course TD 20! OMG :)

  • nice grooves:)

  • very nice!

  • i liked 1:40 to the end

  • great playing bro but can you do a video of you playing the Melodious kit....thanks

  • good shit

  • man, i played these in store, and wow.

  • can you do a td 20 review and tour please

  • Amazing ! Just amazing dude... The groove have no secrets to you !

  • wow that was the coolest grimey lil riff

  • Electronic drum engineering to its perfection!

  • how much do one of those cost?

  • around 8500

  • i want a td20

    where is he the chaepest??

Srry for my english im a hollander

  • kijk eerst rond op markplaats zou ik zo zeggen :P

  • more cowbell!

  • theese kits were i live r like $12 thousand

  • its a really good drums but its so expensive

  • nice groove.. keep it up; sounds good.

  • ...me ha encantado el estilo y el groove. I like it

  • How much for the TD-20

  • IF you can't afford to built a studio to practice drums. They you can afford this drums. Way much cheaper than building a sound proof studio. This Drum is the Studio.

  • i didnt know they made electric drumsets this deluxe. i want one.

  • got $6000 layin' around ? XD

  • mine was 2 grand but i got the td12...

  • td20 is best of the best

  • nice! pretty technacol. excuse my english

  • just get a simmons sd9k, there like 1k but really nice

  • The SD9K is like a toy compared to a TD-20, which is more like playing a real drum set. Classic case of "you get what you pay for".

  • Ya, I have a SD9K because it's good quality for a low price..... TD-20's are insanely expensive. You can buy a pro acoustic set for half the price and Zildjian A Customs and still have money left over from the price of the TD-20 depending on how many cymbals you buy and I don't think you're gonna spend 3k on cymbals......

  • I bought my my acoustic kit and my TD-20 at the same time.. and they cost within $500 of each other. So I guess what you consider a "pro" acoustic kit is different my definition. If I'd bought DW drums, the kit would have been about $2000 more than the TD-20. But then again, you'd consider those awful rubber pads to be an acceptable alternative to mesh. The SD9K isn't even in the same GAME as the TD-20, let alone the same league.

  • Can someone please tell me which is better to get, this drum kit or the yamaha dtxpress lll special edition? there both expensive and i would like to not regret buying the wrong one! haha

  • Roland TD-20 is superior but i'm not sure you would want to spend that much money.

  • can u have 4 cymbals in a td20 module?

  • you get 3 with it and you have 4 extra inputs to do wat ya like

  • Cool video. I love the sound of it. I play on one of these at my church. What are your settings for your snare, bass and hi hat? They sound really good

  • Good for you nir1avrahami

  • i got a td 20 and td 12

  • someone recommended these to me and he said they came in at just under 2000 dollars which is a pretty good price but when i went to long and mcquedes, i found i was horribly mistaken....

  • How can you afford somthing like this, I think they cost way too much!!!

  • yeah : (

  • just played one at GC.

amazing. then some retard got on another get and did blast beats....=/

  • Retards and blast beats are bad enough as separate entities, but when combined ... :\

  • GODDAMN I HATE BLASTER NOOBS.

Fucking rather hit 32nd flams then that shitty shit. Im a funk kind of guy..

  • *set

  • @Wh1teL1ghtinn lol death metal ftw.

  • @Wh1teL1ghtinn LOL Gotta love those "hardcore kids"

  • Absolutly fannytastic! It blows me away how natural that sounds. The tonal imperfections on each note from the previous that DONT sound like the same sample being fired. The samples on the cowbell sounded wicked, you really got a sense that the stick was moving around the instrument. Damn i wish i had $5K stashed away for a rainy day. Love the groove too BTW

  • are hese expensive?

  • retail is over 5,000 i got mine for 4,400.

  • its like $6,000...are u rich?

  • no =[

  • Was okey I guess. Nothing special

  • You look trapped in that corner there.

  • @Vartex I would'nt care if I was trapped in there. I could stay in there playing forever!

  • absolutely fantastic playing!

hats off to you mate you know how to groove

  • Thanks.

Have a nice time and see you soon.

  • man i love that grove when i first saw this video i said to myself man let me get the my bass guitar out and play to his groove.

  • Thank you very much Daniel91306.

Do you play bass guitar, drums or both?

Have a nice time and see you.

  • im really a drummer.ive been playing since i was 3 years old picking up the sticks i just like playing a little bit of the bass

  • finally.. someone playing these on youtube who isn't a total cheezball. nice

  • Thanks a lot paulconrad.

I just try to enjoy a little myself while playing.

    See you.

  • not that it really matters to me, but its a double bass. i saw a few of you guys ask about that. you can see it at the bottom.

  • Hi, in fact, i use a yamaha double pedal kicking at the same kick pad.

  • It is a double, u can see near the end if u look at the bass drum

  • Nice playing. Amazing fill at 1:42.

I have a TD6 and always wish for the TD20, it seems so much better. The sounds are more realistic and I prefer the mesh pads over the plastic ones.

  • Get some pads and the moduale it is cheaper

  • Thanks for the compliments.

You're right. It is an expensive instrument but incredibly realistic touch and sounds.

    Thanks for comment. See you.

  • are there two pedals?

  • I think there's only one.

  • Maybe it's a double bass?

  • I use a yamaha double pedal.

    See you.

  • I use a yamaha double pedal.

    See you.

    Saludos.....

  • very nice.

  • Or maybe it's just me beeing ignorante. I'm sorry if thats the case, the last comment was just my first thought. ;) great drumming by the way, have a nice time!!

  • I think this (TD-20) seems like a very good digital drumkit. But it's kinda unnessesary, whit the thought that it has almost no difference to a regular acoustic drumset, except for the thing that it's silent. But it 's expensive as hell, so i would rather buy a much cheaper acoustic drumkit instead of this. But hey, thats me!

  • nice improvised groove man...!

  • sick fill at 1:42

  • Hallo, you have a GREAT Sound.

Are you using the expansion Board ??

    What a Snare.....

    Regards

    Frank

  • Hi!

Thanks for the comment. No, i don't have it but i'd like it. I just use the original sounds fro TD20 module that are very nice. On the other hand, i don't process sound, i just record directly the TD20 line (L&R) output to the external microphone imput of my videocamera, that's all.

Thank you for comment, have a nice time and see you soon.

  • Fantastic sound,

What kind of cable you use for audio? I mean do you use 'Y' cable? coz camcorder got one input for mic and yr td20 got L and R input.

My camcorder doesn't have mic input, I am thinking to buy one with mic input.

I am now recording separately audio and video while playing my td9kx. If i can use directly audio and video together that will be very easy.

    Help please.

  • How do you make your video have good sound quality without using any speakers

  • Hi!

I do it very simple. I connect the TD20 output line (L&R) to the microphone imput of the videocamera and that's all. No processing, no mixing... nothing at all except putting the output level of the TD20 quite low.

Thanks for comment and have a nice time.

  • Thank you, now I just need a TD-20 and a camera to make videos

    and again, Thank you

  • Be shure that the videocamera has an external microphone imput because not all of them has one.

I use an JVC Everio G series model: GZ-MG575 and it goes quite well.

    See you soon.

  • You have an excellent recorded sound coming from your kit! How is it done? Are you monitoring live and recording with a room mic or are you recording direct? I'm asking because I'm having a hard time getting a good recorded sound in my home studio on my own TD-20. Thanks

  • Thank you very much.

I connect the TD20 output line (L&R) to the microphone imput of the videocamera and that's all. No processing, no mixing... nothing at all except putting the outtput level of the TD20 quite low.

TD20 is an extraordinary tool and instrument.

Try to find a video camera with an imput external microphone and that's all.

Thans for comment and see you soon.

  • i really need this kit but i got a cheap electric kit once and it was really bad and put me off electric kits, i've been playign drums for 5 years and am 15 do u recomend staying acoustic or going electric?

  • Thank you for comment.

My answer is i have no doubt that if i could have this set when i had fiteen i would be much better drummer than i am now. That's not just an instrumment but an extraordinary tool to learn. And much more, no noise trubbles with neighbours, allowing to you playing late in the evening, having a clic inside, bank of sounds incredible to practice with different sets and instruments and effects, sequences to practice on, imput for Mp3 reproducers or CD or similar..

    Just try.

  • I like 1:41 - very nicely done.

  • Keep groovin´ ;)

I am getting my TD-20 this coming week.

  • Thanks a lot for the comment and congratulations for the comming new set. ENJOY!

  • how much does it cost in dollars?

  • Don't know exactly but it cost close to 6000 Euros in Spain.

    See you.

  • which one is better td12 or td20

  • td 20 for sure

  • Their the same but The TD-20 kit(without the sound module) is better and the TD-12 sound module have more electronic kits

  • okay ill keep that in mind thx

  • your welcome

  • love the rythum ,melody in the drums great

  • Thanks a lot. See you soon.

  • how did you get a extra cymbal? the one i saw only had 3 and a high hat.

  • you get 1 symbol extra free from a TD9 and TD20 not too sure about the others tho

  • you can buy more pads, and cymbals dumbfuck

  • do you really honestly think your cool?

that, in some way, you can feel better than everyone by 'acting tough'.

when really no-one know's what you look like?

im not going to call you a 12 year old, because that would be something of your level.

so, next time, try to be a little bit more intelligent.

  • hey im not in this but way to tell it to him. lol

  • thank you i hate immature little kids

  • TD20 has four auxiliar imputs that allows you to connect four pads more than the normal set you buy in the store.

No matter the Roland pad you use. TD20 recognize them. You just adjust what you want as sensibility etc.

See you. Sorry for my delay.

  • how did you afford this? it looks like a real drum kit

  • its 5333 euro lol!!!

  • its actully around 3000

  • I was saving money for several years to make my dream comming true. Never easy my friend but it be worth.

    See you.

  • How much does this kit cost(USD) and is it worth the money or is the td-12 just as good??

  • TD-12 around 1350plus tax TD-20 arounbd 1475 plus tax has 500 more sounds.

  • Nice groove's!! all the simple little details ad up. And your timing is great!!

  • I was thinking the same thing. His timing is quite good!!

  • Thank you. I practiced a lot with a click in my youth. Playing on sequences or records helps too.

    See you soon.

  • Thank you very much for the comment. You're right, little details are always important and the most of times define a good or excellent playing.

Specially pay attention to ghost notes.

See you soon and sorry for my delay.

  • lol that reminds me when i had my set all bunched up against the wall i had to climb over the bass to play it was such a pain lol

  • You're right. I have that room full of stuff that you can't see in the vid. Is really similar than a gallactic black hole.

  • You need to cover songs.

  • You're right. Where can i find it?

  • Just learn a song on drums and play with the song.

  • Where can i find the song?

  • Lol i don't think you get it. Learn A song that you like and make a video of yourself playing it, which is called covering.

Perhaps you knew that already but from reading your comments i didn't think so :)

  • Thank you very much LovanRoyen. I really thought that cover songs were as a play along; it means music without an instrument, without drums for example. I think that playing drums on a song over an existing drum track isn't very interesting to me. I'd prefear being more free and having the choice to create my self drum performance on any song.

So, if someone can help me finding play alongs without drums, i'd really thank a lot.

Thank you for your explanation and have a nice time. See you.

  • You can buy turn it up and lay it down volume 1 and 2. Which is cd's filled with bass tracks.

I myself have them and they rock.

  • Could you send it to me by e-mail?

  • im not sure but i think the td 20 brain have some tracks you can play along with, try some

  • you look cramped

  • A little, i haven't much space in that room.

  • awesome kit...but too expensive...

  • Yes, but it's an incredible instrument and practical tool.

  • good stuff. Love the kit.

  • Thank you very much. It is an incredible kit as instrument and as a tool to learn and experiment.

Have a nice time and see you.

  • 1:30-1:45 well done!

  • Thank you. You can see my video called "Tom fill slow from playing roland TD20" that is a slow version of that fill if you want.

    Thanks for comment, see you.

  • Sound ggod - looks uncomfortable as you are jammed against the wall

  • Thank you. I haven't got much space in the room because there is a yamaha big set and and another drum set aside other things there.

Thank you for comment, have a nice time.

  • Hi, how do you make the cowbell?

  • I've got a cy5 pad between toms and snare that you can't see in the video, that triggers the cow bell sound of the TD20 bank.

Thanks for comment and see you.

  • hey, i got a question, how do you record this drums? i mean, do you connect it to your pc or your camera?

  • Hi!

I do it very simple. I connect the TD20 output line (L&R) to the microphone imput of the videocamera and that's all. No processing, no mixing... nothing at all except putting the output level of the TD20 quite low.

Thanks for comment and have a nice time.

  • Hi

Nice chops man! Do you use a real cowbell or a triggered one? It sounds really realistic!!

BTW, I just ordered my TD-20 set today. Can't wait.. :-) Keep up the beat!

    Cheers,

    Roger

  • Hi, thanks for the nice comments.

About the cow bell i use a little cymbal pad between the toms, floor toms and snare that you can't see in the image. The sounds of the cow bell are from the module of the TD20.

Congratulations for buying a TD20, is an incredible instrument and tool.

Have a nice time and see you soon.

  • I've notice that you use felt beaters...

one advice...felt beaters damage the mesh head...

    nice drumming...

    if you don't understand something it's beacause I'm Portuguese...lol

  • Hi! Thanks for the compliments. I really didn't know that felt beaters dammage the mesh head. Could you explain me something more about it please? Thank for advance and see you soon. Moito obrigado.

  • in the roland site has a demo to start playing the roland, and it explains to put the pieces in place...

when he talks about the bass drum and he puts the bass pedal he says to use the beater that comes with the drum set, because the felt beaters can damage the mesh head...

are you from portugal or spain?

    bye

  • Hi! I'm spanish but i know just a few words of portugues.

Could you send me the address of that site you told me please?

  • The felt beater will leave fluff/dust residue in your mesh head. Your TD-20 probably came with a plastic beater to swap?

  • The kit comes with a replacement for the usual felt, and I believe the product manual mentions changing out the kick beater.

  • yah! good work man, a very clean sound

  • dooood...... rip it

    awesome stuff there

  • Thanks. See you soon.

  • You are too good! Stop it! Ha. Damn....

  • I'm not good. I just try having a good time while playing. It's sometimes nice and other times not. I just upload what i think it's interesting. Meanwhile... amuse yourself.

Thanks for comment and see you.

  • I like your style. I like your approach of building up the beat, but remaining on the same pulse. I dream of owning that set... hopefully I can get a TD-12 at least.

  • Thank you. TD12 have a lot of`possibilities too. There are things that you haven't with a TD20.

    Amuse yourself, that's the question.

    See you.

  • impressive skills. depressing from my point of view... ;(

  • Not at all. Never depressing i just hope inspire you or anybody with my ideas. Music is not a competition but just sharing feelings.

Keep on studing and playing. Just try to amuse yourself.

    See you.

  • Nice drumming!

  • Thanks a lot my friend.

  • How do these compare to the real thing? and are they difficult to program?

    thx for the demo

  • you're really good...how much did you pay this kit?

  • Gracie tante lucarangonibologna.

I've payed close to 6000 Euros for the normal kit. And then i've expanded it with three new cynbal pads.

Have a good time and Arrivederci.

  • btw, do u need an amp for this drum kit?

or can u just plug in the earphones?

  • No amp required when you're using headphones

  • There is an output special for headphones, so u don't need an amp. But u can also connect it to an amp or videocamera at the same time that u heard through the headphones if you want other people listen to your playing or, as i do, recording it with a videocamera for example.

    See you.

  • I hoping to get that drum set soon. I tried it out not a while ago and it was perfect

  • Yes, it is. No doubt.

  • that snare voice is perfect. There should be exactly same in my electric drums

  • OK. what's your kit?

  • Nice drumming! You have very nice kit. I liked that cowbell sound.
