Who needs a great defense when you're a welter-weight with an 82" reach, and solid offense. Having great defense, and offense is rare anyway. For example, Manny has great offense, not the best defense, Floyd is the opposite, but I truly believe Williams would beat Floyd and Manny on the same night. He is a top welter-weight, who has to fight middle-weights, just to get a fight. That speaks volumes.

I don't think any welter weight is interested in fighting paul. It is just too tough. His size, his hunger. No established star would want to go through that unless they have no choice like winky who is looking for big names. Floyd, shane, oscar, cotto can all fight big names without going through paul. I wouldn't be surprise if paul does beat mayweather but i wouldn't be surprise if floyd's slick skills can get a w over paul as well.

im normally a mexican fighter type of guy but i love how williams fights, you have to like him he is just that good and he knows it. definetly most avoided boxer, why not? dude is large and really fast and slick with his punches he knows where to put them. no doubt mosley is scared to fight this guy. williams is easily on my top 5 pound for pound and he is not the best or top 3 cuz everyone is afraid of him.

I think paul is better at wearing down opponents then margarito. his punch output is much higher and not as many shots would be landed on him because he is taller and has great D. It will be a fun match

I also don't think Margarito can beat Williams by any means, at this point, but he's the only one who I give live odds to take him down. Clottey would be interesting, but Paul would take control and outwork him cleanly with range boxing.
Also, Mayweather could beat either one, but only Paul could beat Mayweather. Tony gets cleanly outboxed.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. The fact is that Cotto was exposed for the late fader that he always was. He faded late against Mosley and almost folded up. If Shane would have started putting the HEAT on early, he would have knocked Miguel through the ringropes. Margarito simply did what Shane started with Cotto. Cotto is not tough enough to handle the elite of the elite and that's fact jack.

all I'm saying is I watched him fight Quintana the first time...he got exposed...I know he knocked him out in the rematch but he looked awful in that fight...Mayweather would pick him apart just like he did to Chico Corrales back in 2001...I think Cotto would win by TKO as well.
