  • great

  • cheers mate really nice piece of work here

  • good help but I felt dizzy while watching full screen (option: keep the pointer in the centre while recording)

    :)

  • Very good tutorial. I try out some suggestions and they look great. Thanks!

  • Good to see stunning effects without the need for another addon. Great tutorial. Thanks

  • Good job, clip looks much nicer after. Thumbs down? What the hell? Go play with your kites.

  • hi can u tell me the best export settings? for great youtube quality even in 360p?

  • @SevinTV Quicktime CONVERSION instead of Quicktime movie. Then click the options button and make sure that it's set to h.264, go to settings and make sure its 100% quality and frame rate is set to current. then go back and go to "size." If your video is 720p, export at HD 1280x720, if your at 1080 then set it to 1920x1080, if your standard def then choose the NTSC SD with the aspect ratio matching whatever aspect ratio your footage is.

  • I have FCE will it work for it?

  • Nice one!

  • is there a way to do this in adobe premiere????

  • would my edited (finished) image be effected if i delete the original image?

  • can i also do a blur over time like somebody closing there eyes after dying or watever?

  • @axelle1lover Yes, you can keyframe the intensity of a blur effect like any other effect in the viewer. Play around with it for a while.

  • @DirectKing

U know how to key frame but how when i try to blur0keyframe0blur-keyframe, it wont change itl just stay the same amount of blur i did the last time -__-

  • @axelle1lover Try putting a Gaussian blur on you clip. Then you have to DOUBLE CLICK THE CLIP (important) so you're editing the blur that you just put on the clip, and not the blur that is in the effects bin. Now, try keyframing the radius. That should work, I just tried it myself.

  • Thanks you SOOO much! I have been wondering for so long how to get that real cinema look, I thought I was going to have to buy really expensive lighting tools or something. Composite add did not work on the clip I was using (filmed in the day), but some of the others were amazing. Thanks. Definitely have my subscription. I shall come to your videos for advice from now on.

  • This has to do more with colour correction, but what is the easiest way to apply an effect(like color correction) to all clips??

  • @EpicDubz Copy and paste attributes if you still need that tip

  • very nice, thank you!!!

  • nice!!!

  • Thanks very much. Appreciated.

  • Does this work with any video? Or is there specific lighting needed?

  • cant understand ..

i use windows movie maker ahaahhahahhhahaha

  • Mate, you are a legend. I use the clone video-add composite thing for relatively noiseless brightness control. Cheers!

  • Thanks for the tip Chamca...

  • i just go down to video filters and increase the brightness of the video :)

  • very nice mate! thankyou also great to listen to a cool relaxing voice too!

  • You saved my life. Thanks man!

  • Anyone know if Its possible to edit SD and HD footage on the same FCP session??? if I do that will my HD footage be scaled down to SD???

  • @ELTEATROESTUDIO it depends on what codec the template you editing it in is. If it's a HD codec you'll be fine, if it SD the HD will be rendered down to SD

  • @ELTEATROESTUDIO FCP 7 will let you have different video formats on one timeline and leave them in their native format

  • you copy and drag your clip when you can just simply press shift and option while draging above the clip. Seems a bit combersome the way you do it.

  • thankx sir

  • use option, drag up to copy the clip faster.

  • I don't get why this is a film look?

You juts put more light on the face.

  • which gives it a cinematic look

  • Gives it a look as if it's from a movie

  • mine goes way too bright and i can't seem to change that :(

  • you can always change it bro you probably dont know how

  • THANK YOU VERY COOL

  • Can This Be Done in Final Cut Express 4 ???

    Please reply me

    and thanks for the tutorial

  • yes, it can, i did it a lot

  • excellent.THANKYOU : )

  • I love this effect, but when I use it, it makes the white levels scream way above 100! How do you keep this effect broadcast safe? You completely loose the effect by lowering the opacity of the top layer enough to get whites under 100. Color corrector and broadcast safe filters don't seem to do it either; I lowered the white level on the top layer all the way and it barley made a dent on the scopes. What can we do to keep the effect legal?

  • Yes I have the same issue. Maybe export the segment using current settings - reimport into your project as a self contained clip then rebalance ?

  • ima film maker at compton high and we use final cut 6 with the jvc gy hd 200 cameras. any more effects that you could add to a young film maker?

  • Thanks

  • Can it be done with FCE?

  • Haven't used Express in a while. But i imagine it would be able to.

  • hmm The video on the left looks more proffesional to me. the lighter one reminds me of one of those older movies like indiana jones movies.

  • Thanks. It seems like I would probably also call it "Dream Sequence." Great video!

  • Interesting! I'm an editor using Final Cut Pro 5.
