Good to see some rolling footage of the event. Brings back some already fond memories.
Ah! You caught me at the back twice! (3:49 and 6:00). Fiend! :)
Looks like you might have been considerably up the pack from me, but if you do stray into shot in my footage let me know and I'll point you towards the stills :)
The problem with holding the camera is you're rarely in your own footage :)
Hello, I was just off your shoulder quite a few times but I didn't get a chance to chat - seems everyone wants to talk to the recumbist. When I get some time I'm looking at doing a more professional job of pulling together the night's footage. I'll make sure I get some recumbent speed shots in...
Sorry we didn't get the chance to chat. Hopefully we'll grab the opportunity on the next one.
It's always interesting trying to work out who's who. The recumbent makes it a bit easier, I guess :)
I think I kept meeting the same people. I had a lovely conversation with a solidlight, and another with a set of rear LEDs, who may have been the same guy I spoke to at Gatwick, who was possibly someone I'd been speaking to for a while on cyclechat.
The average for the whole ride is 7-8mph although many will have a higher rolling average but the ride stops to regroup often. It is open to all but pre-registration is necessary especially as the rides seem to be becoming very popular. Search for FNRttC at the UK fora yacf and cyclechat for more information.
Howdo mate.

Looking forward to seeing the finished footage.

Looks epic! What is the average speed of this trip? Can anyone go?
