  • Stunning!

  • blazedal2007 hey man u need to get some good ear in music to start playing harmonica. I thanks a lot james for giving is tips and hints how to play a harmonica. I started playing this stuff just 4 days ago and im pretty getting good into it. By the way i know how to play the piano so i know a bit of earing too. Harmonica is a hell lot if fun . Its very cool and you can carry it wherever you like. Just when u feel a little bluesey , play some harmonica its better than sex :))). Regards from malta

  • ??????? How is this a help for playing by ear. If you could write that crazy mess down the you could write the tabs out. I just dont get this, and i dont think anyone else does either. If they say they do they lied.

  • Kazoos are nice, maybe start with something a little easier, LOL!

  • try to visualize the picture and you can allways bring it back to remember the notes...if you got something like a visual memory or a brain...then the earing memory can take it back . . .i mean this was the case for me Hi nighttrainjames i think you got something here keep it real

  • Hey nighttrainjames, bought my first harmonica today, and tonight, thanks to you, just played my first tune. Cheers.

  • i really dont understand how that drawing works

  • Dreamin.

  • An 8th guitarist is me!

When I dont have notes to stuff I just try to play ot by hear

  • I get it. Actually, its very ingenious. Not difficult at all, especially if you've got training on the guitar or piano already. Good job.

  • learning any instrument by ear is the worst choice you can make.

  • Here are 6 guitarists that would disagree.

    1 Stevie Ray Vaughan

    2 Jimmi Hendrix

    3 Esteban Echeverría

    4 Jimmy Page

    5 BB King

    6 Carlos Santa

Also, Louis Armstrong, i.e. The Great Sachmo, was self taught.

  • i do not understand still how to use this to learn the song... but still amazing how many things you were doin at once

  • Everytime I watch this vid I am amazed at how COMPLICATED the presentation was! Holding a camera (watch that glare!) and guiding a pen while playing the song on a brace, PHEW! The system is refined, although I have to remove the kitchen door soon, I know a fixed camera and board are the way to go.

  • The kitchen door proved to be more user friendly:) It's a good system with an awkward delivery. The kitchen door with a fixed camera allows me to elaborate on the subjest songs. NTJ

  • thanks for putting this up! i learned to play this little tune in just a few minutes! now i play along with an accapella recording of L.M. Milton singing "Zack, the Mormon Engineer". CHEERS from canada!

  • how did u come up with that

  • It's what I see in my head to remember licks and the such. I've been thinking about it for years, but I'm just starting to try it out publicly. I want to put some more up doing the same thing. NTJ
