Just cuz your store is ranked high doesnt mean its a good store lol, my store is #10 in the district and they cant keep people for longer than 4 months before they quit
sears is a horrible place to work. i worked the call center in tucson and their disposition was "if you don't like it, go somewhere else," knowing the job situation in tucson. KATHRINE BOSKEE, the nazi-like anti-social personality disorder wench in human resources has somehow walked over the dead bodies to keep that position. needless to say, i've moved on to newer and bigger things. i'd hate to be KATHRINE BOSKEE on judgement day! sears does suck.
@dictionar1 also, i'm all too familiar with the protection agreement dilemma sears has. i've heard all the horror stories about the catch-22's the service guys found themselves in. sears needs to make some changes. gouging customers and dumping KATHRINE BOSKEE is a good start.
Last week i bought two beds from sears the day before i purchased the beds i bought a refrigarator and oven, the beds were set to be delivered today and the kitchen appliances on saturday, my thirteen year old daughter woke up at 7 waiting for her new bed to be delivered at 8, at 8:30 we got a call from sears saying the foundation of my daughters bed had dirt and rocks inbeded into it and had a hole in it, they said it could be deliveered a in a week, my poor daughter has to sleep on the couch
Thanks for commenting. My heart goes out to the people who have worked under less than spectacular management. I'm in my late 50's and I've seen Sears change quite a bit, and it's a shame that KMart has not rescued the brand since the merger. Best of luck to you.
Yes, it does depend on which unit store you do work at....But from my experience, our management in our store sucks....They hardly ever do there jobs and put everything off onto the employees...My store manager was going to write me up one day because I wore a tie to work and it wasn't the right "color." But you do have to keep to consider, it's only particular Sears stores, not all of them...I have been to a few and I was quite impressed and I quite respected there management compared to ours
Okay I work at sears in keokuk Iowa district 120 store 3502. Please dont blame one bad experiance on the whole company. In my store we try everything possible to make the customer happy. We as a store are ranked in our division and our division is ranked high in the nation. So that means that every customer that leaves the store likes it and comes back. the protection agreements are for your products protection. you dont have to get it but we recomend it. I love my job and I love sears!
Well, I guess I could have named the video "This Sears Sucks" but there is that whole flow thing to consider. I think it's great you have a job you love, and I hope you have a very successful career. The sad thing here is that you're tarred with that brush-and a set of pinheads in Florida (gee, what was that, 3 years ago?) reflect badly on you. Thanks for commenting.
Well its okay. And my boss says I am a diehard for sears. So I like to stick up for them... however there is a sears about 45 min from where ours is that we get customers from all the time because the customer service is so bad there. I have gone there myself and was appauled. So I can see where you are coming from!
Sears is poorly run, poor management, poor service, etc. If you go there it is your on fault when you get burned by poor products and service, Go to Loews or Home Depot.
Sadly, they ran themselves under, they will have to deal with going under.
Gee, did you listen at all? There was no "burning" it was poor policy, and one that is not duplicated in any Sears I've been to since. Thanks for the comment, I'm banning you from my videos.
My heart goes out to you, all I can offer is that at least you're still working. Here in Day-twa, people are losing jobs left and right. Eleven cents is an insult though, if you were minimum wage that's not even 5%?
And here's the worst part about it: The operations manager, who is gone now, thank God, made my manager change my review scores, which directly affects my raise. The categories of review are rated 1-5. She felt that because the store in whole got a 3, that nobody in any category should get higher than a 3. She doesn't know or doesn't care to know what an average is. So all my 4s got changed to 3s and it dropped my review score. I went from a 3.6 to a 2.7 becuase of that stupid lady.
Yeah. I used to work in the lawn & garden department at Sears and understand.
Please keep in mind that it's not the associates who are the bad people - we work hard and get paid atrociously. It's the corporation's declining quality of management that has caused this.
Sears has some great products (some are junk though). Associates are always willing to make sales but cannot because we either have nothing in stock or management limits access to services for customers.
Sears does suck. I work there and hate the job. It pays peanuts $6.00 and hour plus commission, no one can live off this income. mangmetn wants us to sell the warrenties even though they are usless and a rip off. mangment threatens us that if we don't sell enough warrenties we will be fired. The other day in the optical department the sewer got backed up the stupid store manger did nothing. It exploded and caused a major flood in the elctonics dept. Managmeng liitterly had to deal with shit.
Sears is charging me 30% interest on my credit card account--they're trying to keep me in debt slavery forever!!! The total is $2,000 and I hope to be done with it and them in less than a year. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT SEARS AGAIN!!! And I hope you won't either.

The only way to get help from Sears is to call their executive offices at 1-800-995-2139 They keep this number hidden for their most escalated calls.

They do suck! I used to like them. But they have really gone down-hill recently.
