I know sometimes it had to be toned down to "hey" but the original lyrics has "hell" all the way through.

Listen carefully to one of the live performances and you can hear it.

This is a great song that I remember well when it was a new song. Recently I was at a kareoke bar and I wanted to sing a song but I wasn't sure what I could sing. Well the local "oldies" station played this the other day and I found myself singing along and realized that this was gonna be the song I sing.
