Vidfreak727, this brought back the memories about the practice matches that I had. I used to practice using the different combos with the different characters. I even incorporated the level 3 or level 4 hyper combos with the string of combos. Was Cyclops' Ground Shot a level 2 or level 3 super move? It was an attack where Cyclops shoots the ground causing a big explosion. I thought that you could do it once per combo.
The ground beam is a level 3 super, so techically you are only able to do it twice per combo. But i used a glitched in this video that lets me do it once more for FREE.
@vidfreak727 okay. I selected the practice match in X Men Next Dimension and set the super move energy to maximum. This setting caused the energy not to deplete. It is obvious that you are showing the video of the practice matches because the opponent's status is not visible. I hate that the computer resets the hit counter when Storm used El Nino in the combo. I have been receiving the reports about this problem.
The glitch works when you start a juggle and end with his air throw, which is the glitch trigger. Once you land from the throw, do the ground beam super, but DO NOT transfer energy back into the level 3 block. Instead, do his HK.Flash Kick and the super will come out instead, but for free! Once you see the 2nd ground beam come out and hit, transfer energy to the level 3 block, dash forward and do the super once more. This will kill most characters guaranteed! Enjoy!

The game is good, its just that all games contain some sort of exploit. If it is not obvious, then people who mess around with the game long enough will find these exploits anyway. I have YET to see the perfect fighting game. Why? because nothing in this world is perfect or godlike.
maybe the fact that the computer was granted the ability to counter just about anything? It countered my magneto's beam super (LP+FP) even though the counter system does not allow for countering projectile attacks.

when you get to the round where you use magneto against bastion, lose that match and you'll use Phoenix (I i think). Win the match and you unlock dark phoenix. She has almost the same combos with the exception that hers supers are different.
yes, there is a play station 2 version. But this combo video was shot using gamecube version. It has some funny glitches that I am not sure if the PS2 version even has them. You can try though. Most of the combos should work and the only questionable one is cyclop's at the beginning cuz his combo is done using a glitch. watch my video on his glitch and ill explain it there.
I am not sure if everyone has long combos. As far as I know, I think cyclops, toad, storm, rogue, Psylocke (the ravanche suit one), Betsy, and magneto have long combos.
1-I accidentally pulled off that Wolverine super in a gamestop. At the top of the waterfall stage. to kill some other player. that SOLD the game for me.
2-Great lines, pretty good acting, BEAUTIFUL special moves, an occasionally challenging AI (with the Summers-Grey family at least)... if it weren't for the ridiculous glitches, this would be one of my favorite games to this day.

I like it better than Tekken. No offense, but some characters in that series are just RIGGED! like Paul's little Bullshit Punch thing where he knocks you down and when you get up he knocks you down again and there is nothing you can do about it. worst of all, it is unblockable.
fast isn't always the way though. I really depends on what kind of game it was! This was 3D and as you know, not all 3D fighting games were ever fast.
I thought that at first too, but It is not that bad. If you play as some of the characters, you will notice that some are nearly as fast as those in Marvel vs Capcom or whatever.
yeah, its just like launching Marvel vs capcom games for air combos. Certain normal hits and special moves/supers can also create the Air Seek situation. all you must do is press UP when you see the "Air Seek" text come out. Of course, you dont always have to air combo, you can choose to juggle near the ground instead.
When you hit the launcher attack and the words "air seek" come out you press up. Then you proceed to do a combo, lol. I remember the first time I played I pressed up and didnt do anything. 'Twas embarassing indeed.
this is different now. There are dial combos now, but in the air you follow the Light -> heavy attack chain pattern. Some chains launch you a little bit while others give you the air seek opportunity (all you have to do is press up) and others give you a stun to link another combo. Supers are a lot easier to do. A direction and 2 buttons at the same time.
I want to get this game. I remember playing it with one of my friends in 5th grade and he kept destroying me, but the combos looked awesome. Are the combos as hard as they look?
Dont bother, this game is crap. Ive just bought it, and the combos are the game's only saving grace. watching people (like the person who posted this video on youtube) is the only thing that makes this game look good. But the combos are fucking hard, near impossible unless you mash your keys like crazy, or have autoer software.

ive never played the game but all the combos look the same.. jumpin punch or kick, couple of other punches then a launcher then some sort of super thats an aerial combo and land and a super again.
the thing about this game is that there are infinite OTG's so that's why Storm can keep hitting the enemy off the ground with her Back+Fierce Punch (typhoon) attack. Howveer, there is only 1 "air seek" per combo sequence, if you wanna juggle more you will need to find other methods of doing so.
Fort the person who asked abou the storm combo i did, here it is:
Jump in with Heavy Drill Kick (D,F+O), land, LP, Lp, LP, jump forward+LP, LK -> Heavy Thunder Ball (D,F+Triangle), land, FP, FP, air seek (hold up), LP, LK, FP -> Heavy Drill Kick, land, Back+FP (typhoon picks enemies off the ground), level 3 super (Back+LP+FP)
yeah, i'd like to see more characters too. Trust me, if it were up to me, this game would've had a lot more characters and I would have taken away the stupid jump-in problems due to the 3D nature of the game (make it kinda like Project Justice where the game is in 3d, but Jumping isn't affected negatively by it.
Well, the only long dial-a-combo on the ground she has is: Hold Forward+Y, Y, X, A, X, B (this throws out an electric ball that juggles after the launcher near the end). I dont know about the combo you're talking about. The gust of wind is Back+A on the ground and thats about it.
lol cool... the onli combos i can do with storm is these kicks and punches in the air and the wirlwind and then a super attack.. i can never reali continu hitting and kicking... lol

4)Try characters that you think will be easy to start out with. Examples are wolverine, cyclops, storm, Gambit and Magneto.

Jump up, come down with Fierce Drill Kick, land, LP, LP, LP, jump forward, LP, LK -> Heavy Thunder ball (D, F+FP), land, FP, FP, jump up, LP, LK, FP -> Fierce Drill Kick (d, f+FK), land, tyhpoon (Back+FP), Typhoon super (Back+LP+FP @ level 3).

they both have unique moves to them. They do share the same normal attacks though (LP, LK, FP, FK and all combo animations).

Phoenix has cooler moves than Dark Phoenix. Lol.
I used to remember the Mutant Academy one. I gave up, the controls was just not for me. I'm not fast with buttons, lol.

its something you adapt to, not something you have to be ready for before you start playing. Learning is something you do, remember that.

this is different now. There are dial combos now, but in the air you follow the Light -> heavy attack chain pattern. Some chains launch you a little bit while others give you the air seek opportunity (all you have to do is press up) and others give you a stun to link another combo. Supers are a lot easier to do. A direction and 2 buttons at the same time.

I want to get this game. I remember playing it with one of my friends in 5th grade and he kept destroying me, but the combos looked awesome. Are the combos as hard as they look?

Dont bother, this game is crap. Ive just bought it, and the combos are the game's only saving grace. watching people (like the person who posted this video on youtube) is the only thing that makes this game look good. But the combos are fucking hard, near impossible unless you mash your keys like crazy, or have autoer software.

just cuz you gave up after 3 hits doesn't mean you have to tell others to do so as well. The combos are not that HARD, they're like MK dial combos but with a little bit of air combos involved. Its really not that hard!! how hard is LP+FP to do a super???

ive never played the game but all the combos look the same.. jumpin punch or kick, couple of other punches then a launcher then some sort of super thats an aerial combo and land and a super again.

the thing about this game is that there are infinite OTG's so that's why Storm can keep hitting the enemy off the ground with her Back+Fierce Punch (typhoon) attack. Howveer, there is only 1 "air seek" per combo sequence, if you wanna juggle more you will need to find other methods of doing so.

that happens when you press up on some launcher attacks/combos that say "air seek" and they vary depending on the character.

yeah, i'd like to see more characters too. Trust me, if it were up to me, this game would've had a lot more characters and I would have taken away the stupid jump-in problems due to the 3D nature of the game (make it kinda like Project Justice where the game is in 3d, but Jumping isn't affected negatively by it.

Get all the new eight just take suvival mode whit all of the normal characters, 10 times.
And get Shadowcat, Spyke, Hurricane, Ivy, Nightmare, Rainbow, Lightsaver and Ember.

Well, the only long dial-a-combo on the ground she has is: Hold Forward+Y, Y, X, A, X, B (this throws out an electric ball that juggles after the launcher near the end). I dont know about the combo you're talking about. The gust of wind is Back+A on the ground and thats about it.

lol cool... the onli combos i can do with storm is these kicks and punches in the air and the wirlwind and then a super attack.. i can never reali continu hitting and kicking... lol
