I apologize for the garble. It was a private recording from a live performance and it had a lot of white noise. The noise reduction process left some peaking that couldn't be helped. It irks me that I have to do this because for some reason that is beyond understanding, there are not that many live professional recordings of South's many roles.

I am so grateful for this recording. Ms. South's performance of this piece, to my ear, leaves all others in the dust. But I am wondering about the context of the performance, given all the garbled ambient noise. Still, I replay this often, it so haunts me. Thank you.
