  • ummm upperdeck was busted for selling fake autographs too. cant truly trust upperdeck either. unless in person with upperdeck and athlete present

  • I respect what Mr. Tresh does, he provides a valuable service for novice autograph fans on bigger named celebrities whose sigs are clearly forged. Just a very little research and you can have the same eye as him. However, However, the Mattingly on this video may be authentic. Mattingly does have three different signatures, one he does at paid signings, one he does when rushed, and one he does when he sees possible dealers in a crowd. I have examples of all three and that looks identical to one.

  • What in the Hell are these "Appraisels" given out now instead of a certifigate of authenticity with the Coachs Corner autographed rare items did Chris Morales or The Stat boys reccomend this latest scam or did lee Trythall come up with this complete worthless document all by himself?

  • Lee and Scott forge almost thirty percent of all autographed items sold by Coachs Corner Sports.Ted taylor,Jeff Stevens and Chris Morales sign their phony certifigates of authenticity and as Sonny and Cher used to sing "The Beat Goes on".If Psa was to view Coachs Corners entire warehouse of autographed invntory i think they would all die from laughter.I wonder where Lee Trythall buys his sharpies and unsinged vintage baseballs he must have some clown scanning the internet for such items.

  • TOM! when are you planning to post another, please answer us?

  • i love your stuff. we need another video.

  • Look at Lot #9 guys! That Jimmy Foxx is horrible. They claim it can be seen from 18 feet away. Of course it can, it was signed earlier in the month!! Plus it has been forged with brand new 2009 blue ink. I even see they have their very own employee/family member Nick authentication items now. What a joke!!!

  • It's not that they didn't or couldn't do the research, they all know it's fake to begin with!! STAT is authent. all there items that there business partners forge. Why are people so stupid to figure this out?

  • That's a great question, Dvitoc. Wish I had an answer. Well actually I do, but the people who should be watching these videos and reading these comments aren't going to find these videos because they don't do any research in the first place.

  • Lot 4 of this month.... 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers team baseball... some shmuck's gonna be out a few hundred bucks on this piece of crap!!

Just look at the Sandy Koufax "autograph".... that's just BAD!! They couldn't do enough research to see how Koufax makes his "S" look?! Well done, STAT.

  • Exactly. Just do a little research.

  • Good insight... your videos are appreciate; however, the Mattingly autographed gold glove baseball you call out as fake appears to actually be likely authentic--in my opinion.

  • Just wondering why you think so?

  • Geez, those forges are terrible, especially the Paul Molitor and Yaz!

The worse item they might have ever sold though was in 2005. They auctioned off the actual pair of cleats Joe Jackson took off in a game 99 years earlier because his feet were hurting. They of close were signed by Jackson with a freakin inscription too that read, " Your pal, Joe Jackson, 1906"

    Gimme a break Coach's Commode!!!

  • Check out this month's CCSA Lot 276!! WORST ITEM EVER!!!

  • Item 280362546307 - WORST KOBE I've ever seen! The seller, "autographuniverse2000", a new member with 0 feedback....

  • man some people are stupid. TOMTRESH2 is doing a good job. He hasn't pointed out an authentic item as a forgery yet. He shows obvious forgeries. I think to many people who are posting here are either the seller of forgeries, owns forgeries, or has a friend/family member selling forgeries. You do not need to go to school to tell autographs. If youve seen alot of them of a player, you will know right when you look at it if its fake or not. Some of you people are plain retarded!

  • Mark, thank you. Like you and others here we are all sick and tired of the garbage out there.

  • bredub23,

you are full of it! put a mint babe ruth ball, signed on the sweet spot and jsa or psa certified and watch the price. Coaches corner and these fakes on ebay continue to get 10 - 20 percent of the value. Look, I buy rings. and when the right ring comes along it does not matter if it's lelands, REA, or ebay, it sells for what the market will bear. Those crappy rings and copies and fakes tend to settle where they belong, 10 - 20 percent of the right price.

  • Ok here is another example. Say a seller has a whole page of autographs that appear to be real. Yet you think one might be fake. Can you not give the person the benefit of the doubt that maybe that person got ripped off as well. Maybe they bought it from someone, traded someone at the ball park for one of there autos, or bought at a show. You don't give them the benefit of the doubt or even contact them and ask them about it. You do a video and slander them and your viewer flag them

  • not only flag them but they send messgaes harrassing the ebay member. after this the person is know as a person who sells fakes when they very well could have been innocent. If you sell ebay as it appears you do you should understand this. No matter if your items a real or not if some group of people started flagging your stuff it would be removed by ebay. They are not professionals either. Your viewers are getting these items removed by mass flagging not your so called expertise

  • I tried helping buyers for years and all I got was "Mind your business" or "It comes with a COA so it must be authentic." Believe me, I tried for years to help both buyers and sellers (like those you mention) and all I got was the same replies.

  • Hey Tom why did you delete my comment, I didnt use foul language, or attack you personally. Only communists want to regulate what people can and cant say.

  • Please feel free to submit it again. In my haste to reply to your comment I hit the "remove" option. My apologies on that one.

  • See you let people critize people on here. I have not called anyone names or said they are retarted. Markwolf can say forsure that you have not missed on a autograph. I do not think you could guarantee that you have been one hundred percent accurate. Mistakes happens. I have been collecting for a long time myself and i have made mistakes. i have a david ortiz and manny auto that if I tried to sell would look fake but I got it myself and I now it is real. I think peope should get the benefit

  • of the doubt until they are selling lots of autos that appear to be fake. Not slander somebodies name and call them dirtbag seller right off the bat. People make mistakes and not all people selling autos are professionals and trying to make a living off it.

  • I know for a fact he missed one of his auto he called fake. i was there when the guy got it and i got one to. I can not speak for the rest of his autos on his page but that one forsure was real i would bet my life on it. No matter what anyone would say. Mistakes are made. I don't know how you think it is your place to do this. DO you sell autos? How come you have not answer this question

  • Because these videos aren't about me. I have never promoted myself in my videos. I have no vested interest in what I do here. I don't own a website, I'm not an powerseller and I don't own a hobby store. I am simply a collector who has always been sick and tired of those who devalue the collections of true collectors who own authentic autographed memorabila, etc. I've been investigating forgeries for a long time. My own time, my own money.

  • I don't mind being criticized, but I won't be harassed. The people that I expose do not deserve to get the "benefit of a doubt." They sell obvious forgeries. They do not get that consideration from me. I know exactly what they are doing.

  • HAHA if this is Tom Tresh, then I'm Barak Obama!!! Tom was a Yankee player... I'm guessing this means you're a monthly customer of CCSA and STAT?

  • My favorite ballplayer of all time is Tommy Tresh. Also, I am CCSA's biggest enemy.

  • Hey Tom when is the next video gonna be posted?

  • bredub23

You seem so sure you are right and Tom is wrong. Please address my questions. If Tom is wrong why are these items selling so far below the market price.

Also, why do the items never get reinstated by ebay?

Why are you the only voice of doubt, you know we would all blast Tom and complain if we thought he was wrong on exposing these autographs.

    why?

    Mike The Ring Guy.

  • There have been several people that think TomTresh2, way of doing things is wrong. Tom deletes comments and Users who give valid arguments on the subject. I disagree with TomTresh2 giving Ebay ID's out for everyone to see, without knowing for a 100% whether the items being sold by these people are in fact fake. In This country your inocent until proven guilty. But in Toms World everyone he acuses is guilty till proven incent! I has some valid points on several of his videos, Stop the SLANDER!!!!

  • Maybe you should you your own video and show us your method of exposing the sellers of forgeries. Show us some guts and show us how you would do it; or would you rather have us continue to just ignore it. As a whistleblower I expect to be a target, but that doesn't mean I'll just sit back and take it. Let's see your video.

  • You have never seen a ebay item go below maket value? If ebay sold everything at market value people would not buy from ebay as much. People try to find deals. I am sure I am not the only voice of doubt. Do you TomTresh sell autographs on ebay?

  • tomtresh2 is exposing the obvious fakes, these are fakes that don't look rushed, they like like slow DELIBERATE attempts to copy someone signature. Also, many , many of these ebay sellers that tomtresh2 exposes have multiple forgeries right down the line. It's like the tip of the iceberg. I can guarantee that when someone has a horrible michael jordan, then their kobe bryant and lebron james are almost certainly going to be horrible also. 80% is fake. these videos expose the worst of the worst.

  • SO you think that you have been one hundred percent accurate on all of your videos and woud bet your reputation on it?

  • Your not the only one who thinks what Tom is doing is wrong, problem is, hes probably just going to Delete you from leaving comments, and probably me to. You Cant speak your opinion on here, or you'll get censored, Kinda like a Comunist country!!!! But i will say im against fakes and something needs to be done, like stricter policy's on ebay. but Its not cool to slander random people, without knowing 100%

  • bredub23: If Tom is wrong than why do the auctions at cc get 10% of the final price that Robert Edwards, Lelands, or Grey Flannel get? Is every single buyer out there influenced by Tom? Or are you just being too hard on Tom for exposing what so many others already realize (and you don't).

We all love great deals. I would love to buy a Babe Ruth, sweet spot mint baseball, but why am I and so many others not paying $500 to $1,000 for the CC ruth ball since it goes for $30,000 elsewhere.

  • Thanks, Talonmm, but Bredub23 is just trying to bait me into something. Or maybe they are trying to justify the forgeries that they already own? Either way, my videos will continue. Mike, once again, thanks for your support. We all know the "bad guys" probably outnumber us 100-1 but that sure hasn't and won't stop me.

  • I am not trying to bait you at all. I am just curious, A friend of mine who you so call caught make forgeries told me what had happened. I took a look at your video and could not believe it. I was actually there when he recieved it. We were both in the hotel lobby when he got it. The friend was actually showing people there how to get good autographs. He is no business just someone who was trying to sell his collection because he was laid off. Like I said if you are proved wrong then what

  • Oh really, what is the seller's Ebay ID?

  • bredub23

you seem a little rude but you bring up some good points. Many of the ebay auctions and many of the cc auctions are poor forgeries of autographs that you would see from a sports signing or from a company like steiner. anoterwords, like you I have received autographs in person as the signer is rushed and you are right, they look nothing like what you would expect. however, the fakes tom discusses are poor attempts to mimick the "show" quality autographs.

  • I have recieved tons of autograph that when i get home and look at them say to myself how the heck could this have happened. It does though maybe the pen stops, the silver pen skips, maybe they drop the item. You cannot fairly judge this. I to hate when people are selling fakes but you are going about it the worng way

  • Do you have a better way? I've been investigating sellers of forgeries for a long time. I wouldn't be doing these videos if I didn't know what I was doing. Maybe I should give the sellers of forgeries a nice "pat on the back?" There's a big difference between different versions of an athlete's autograph and forgeries. The majority of sellers of forgeries are cowards who prey upon those who really have no business buying autographs. Then you have the buyers who keep the sellers in business.

  • You are no more a expert than I am. Just because you have been looking at them for years does not mean your a expert. Like i said if you get proved wrong and there is evidence will you admit your wrong

  • If you do the video I will watch.

  • Let us all know about your method of exposing those that sell forgeries, and please let us know when your first video is completed. Hopefully, your video will have a face and voice. And would you prefer that we all let "business continue as usual." This I can tell you for sure; you have no idea how really huge the fake autograph memorabilia is. I do.

  • What makes you a professional at judging these autographs? Yes you may get a few right but what about those who you insult that are real? If you get autographs which it seems you do. Have you not got a bad autograph on occassions? Many times a player is bumped while signing a item in a crowd. Many times a player signs initials to hurry it up when there is a crowd. Many times a player signs without even looking to get through the line. If someone proves you wrong will you quit

  • Why, would you like me to quit?

  • no just be accountable for your claims. You cannot yourself guarantee you are right everytime can you? Psn/dna does not even guarantee it. Yes you may be catching some people but you are destroying the reputation of some as well. Do you not acknowledge that players have different looking autographs when they are seated at a signing rather than when they may be swamp with people by a dugout sticking things in their face and pushing. I think there is a difference seen it many times myself

  • If coach's corner has grossed over $100,000,000 since their inception, I wonder if a lawyer or law firm could start a class action suit for all the people who have been ripped off during the last twenty years.

With law firms getting from 20 - 33 percent of the collection they could easily make $20,000,000. How great would that be?

If anyone wants to start a class action suit, please visit classactionconnect dot com

I don't qualify as I have never purchased anything from CC.

  • someone just posted a very interesting note on my blog. He added up the total revenue from the last CC auction and he says it came to half a million dollars. If you multiply this by the 12 auctions a year, I guess we can conclude that the owners of CC are grossing 6 million dollars a year in revenue. I never stopped to calculate these numbers before. They are worse and more depressing than I ever could imagine. Please, we have to stop these guys!

    Mike the ring guy.

  • i am a fellow autograph collector. THIS IS SOME GOOD INFO! As i study autographs as well. But sometimes you cant compare to jsa or psa/dna because the companies them selves have faulted them selves. they have received D and F ratings in for the better business bureau.

  • you wont see coaches corner stuff pass psa or jsa because psa and jsa will reject obvious forgeries, just like well-informed collectors will reject them. psa and jsa do a good job of catching the bad forgeries, just like these videos do, but to say that only psa experts know autographs is like saying only professional bass fisherman know how to catch fish.

keep up the good work chris, keep on rockin'!

  • you know what they do at psa? they compare the autograph in question to known exemplars, if it is close, they give it a coa, if not, then they reject it, that's it!!! there is no bat computer, they are not running it through machines! It's not CSI!!

A knowledgable collector who does his research can come to the same conclusions as psa, they aren't special! They want you to believe that only they can figure out if something is authentic! Me and you and a dog named blue can figure it out!

  • You don't need paper credentials to know autographs. Some of us are just good at it and we study them also. Chris "I Never Saw An Autograph I Didn't Like" Morales has paper credentials and look at some of his work. Some of us just have a knack for it. By the way guys I really appreciate all of the support. You have idea how much it means to me. Thank you!!! Continued.....

  • What we are ding here is exposing obvious forgeries, not different versions of an athlete's autograph. Big difference!!! Travrosty, thank you for your support.

  • He used his talents to assist in the authentication and acquisition of memorabilia for Mastro's sport and non-sport auctions. In addition, Grad was one of the select writers for Mastro's catalogs.

big deal!!!!! are you impressed, i'm not.

  • grad continued... He used his talents to assist in the authentication and acquisition of memorabilia for Mastro's sport and non-sport auctions. In addition, Grad was one of the select writers for Mastro's catalogs. ok, whats so impressive about that??????????

  • grad continued.. Meeting these modern athletes and witnessing their signatures time after time proved to be invaluable!

Grad's interest in autographs unsurprisingly spilled over into entertainment, music and politics. Through his travels in Europe, Canada, and the U.S. in the last twenty years, he has collected over 100,000 in-person autographs. Grad's expertise was put to work when he joined one of the sports industry's best auction houses, MastroNet.

  • psa dna does NOT have more training than you or me. herfe is steve grad, he got autographs at the ballpark, big whoop!!!

Chicago native Steve Grad originally started his career in radio. His major in on One Radio Network, now known as Sporting News Radio, the largest syndicated sports radio network.

sports history, it was natural for Grad to was hooked. Thereafter, Grad expanded his basketball, and hockey.

  • wow, like i said im not gonna argue like a little girl! u have your opinion and i have mine! anyhow, u have a blessed night!

  • Yea also missed out on some real bargains besides the diaper. A Joe D. bat for 298.00. A Mantle bat for 350.00. A Walter Johnson cut for 315.00. A Ruth cut for 352.00. And on and on it goes where it stops nobody knows

  • Hey Tom, The witchs diaper on C.C went for 64.00. What a bargain

  • I can't even imagine what kind of person buys an item like that.

  • Blink, if you come back here under another YouTube, I blocked you because of your lack of constructive comments and borderline harassment. Your antagonistic and baiting comments are not accepted here.

  • i hate it when people hide behind an anonymous name or video and dont show their face. if they are a man, then show their face like a man. as to his claim that only psa/dna experts can tell whether an autograph is real, most of the fakes exposed here are obvious. Someone paying attention like tomtresh2 is more than qualified to expose these fakes. The experts at psa/dna dont have any more training than you and I. there is no class to take.

  • Exactly. Look at the crap Chris Morales has authenticated and he has all kinds of paper credentials. I'm not even exposing borderline forgeries; I'm only exposing obvious forgeries. That other video speaks of various versions of a person's autograph; I can easily show four versions of Jeter's autograph and all are authentic. A "version" of a person's autograph is completely different than an obvious forgery. And I don't hide behind text on a video.

  • Hello,

I mean no disrespect at all, but you can read the profiles of the psa/dna examiners. Some are ex FBI signature specialist. No disrespect, but they have a little more expierence than you, me, and tom put together.

  • im not tryin to get caught up in the middle of this girlscout fight, and i enjoy toms videos, but im gonna have to disagree that psadna experts dont have anymore trainin than me or u! i do agree that there are lots of bogus coa companies out there, but psadna is the only one i would trust! and to anyone that doesnt do the research before buyin an autograph, they deserve to be ripped off! its not hard to research item! have a goo day!

  • Blink can now watch the other guy's video.

  • Hey, Blink, what does he prove? When are you going to do your own videos on on Tyler Thompson? I don't even know who he is and yet you want me to do a video on his autograph. Why don't you do your own videos?

  • What do you mean by "Proves his claims?" All I see is a guy hiding behind text on a video. If you watched my last video and others I always suggest that when buying autographs do your research and homework. He shows two versions of a Josh Hamilton. So? I am quite aware of both versions. So what is he proving? Show me a autograph that I've exposed here that is authentic. I prefer to look my viewers in the eye when I speak; I don't hide behind text. No voice, no face equals zero.

  • its no secret that there are a ton of fakes on ebay and it sucks cause it does hurt the hobby! but if your to lazy or to dumb to do your research before buyin an autograph, you deserve to be ripped off! i know it sounds mean but its the truth!

  • Exactly. Excellent comment.

  • Very nice

  • Thank you very much.

  • what do u shearch for on ebay to find these . like wat do u type in??

  • You can do all types of searches like "Babe Ruth signed baseball" or "Mickey Mantle autographed bat."
