...look well upon these silent machines- this is what happens when the bucks run out. And all the "law"(!?!)-yers Hell can muster won't "change" a damn thing...The USA is near broke now... Keep on as these fools did- you'll simply receive the same. So... Why do we keep voting in the same fools who keep us in a mine that'll shaft only the workin' man...? ... ... .
Cool pics! You guys don't go underground or were there no open adits? We live in a goldmine (literally!) of old mines in this area of BC, hundreds of abandoned mines around here.
Thanks so much for putting this video up! I love exploring old mine camps and ghost towns. Give me a shout at dirtbikepilot at hotmail dot com if you'd like to hook up some time. I'm currently living in Salt Lake.
@mahlyenkidyavol223 YOu wont see them go in the portal very far. If they knew the real dangers they wouldn't be playin around. Nothing like finding a bottomless hole to dissappear in. Poisonous gasses and places with absolutely 0 oxygen.
Excellent footage. I'm surprised so much of the towns and the mine infrastructures themselves are so intact. In Western Australia, where I'm from, when a mine dies, just about everything to do with the mine, and often the town servicing it, will be pulled up or down, including any rail lines to it
now imagine if you guys were there when those shafts collapsed!! yikes, in ontario, canada in a small mining town where i live there is a fenced off stope thats 100 feet deep and filled with water about 60 feet down, its crazy because it was like 30 degrees celcius and down in the stope the water was ice, crazy eh
i was born in spokane and i've been through idaho many times of coarse ya know so to me some of those look the ones you'd see along the freeway.....i love it up there, i might have to head over there sometime once i get back home to WA....i suppose those might be silver mines maybe....do you know?
Thank you SO much for posting this video!! Exploring abandoned mines is one of my all-time favorite things to do. I would love to hook up with you some time to go exploring old mines.
pretty sweet by where i live i went to my local(ish) abandon insane asylum at night (i was with a few people tho); broke in by climbing a tree to the second story and making a hole in the wall via window smashing lept through and then proceeded to head towards the basement :)
Awesome post. I find it amazing that these places were not destroyed and full of graffiti by vandals like you would find in other states. What were these mines mining? Gold?
Thanks for taking me home. I grew up in Kellogg Idaho and my father was chief of security for the Bunker Hill Mining Co. I have been underground in at least three of the mines you have pictures of when they were working mines. Again thanks for the memories

WOW I had no idea! Great shots.
What were they mining? Gold.,Slver? And you say no one was around these places??
