  • Lets clear this up....It IS a ford motor, it is NOT an american motor...ford has plant all over the world, and the motor from this comes from a ford mondeo, which was developed and built in the UK in early 90's americans put that motor into the ford contour.

  • @vivie6389 Actually, the engine in this is an American product. It's the 3.0L Duratec V6 block from the Ford Escape. It's then built by AER in Texas with custom forged Wiseco aluminum 8.5:1 pistons, Scat 4340 H-beam rods, ARP 2000 bolts, & Ford Lightning 42lb injectors. The blocks are machined for piston oil squirters for each cylinder, and is balanced and blueprinted. The only thing that comes from the UK are the Mondeo ST220 cams (which, unfortunately, are designed for normal aspiration).

  • I never get sick of watching this. The noise is intoxicating and reaction priceless.

  • you got pwned by one of the best in the world. Congratulations... now take your ball and go home... hahahaha.

  • that was fun to watch! :)

  • juuuuuuuuust got a nose ahead of you there I think

  • Pretty sweet that he played with you guys! I'd love to see one of those pull away like that.

  • Smoked

  • Endgame 4 the Z!! By the way listening to rap music slows your car down considerably. :-)

  • Everything kicks a 350z's ass. It gets proven every time I go to the 1/4mile. They are the slowest shit moving out there next to the civics. saw a guy take 15 passes just to run the same 14.1 @100 over and over again. why bother??

  • @Chltdsm ok another fuck that doesent know about the jap gentlemans agreement not to go over 270hp. Add do a tt kit and you can walk a lambo. go to superspeedersrob channel and look. You such an idiot its unbelievable. There are civics that can walk v10 vipers lol. Really shows how ignorant you are for being such a young kid. And do you know what dial ins are? you fuck!

  • You just got your ass kicked by a british car!!! LOL!!!

  • If I were to have any super car in the world, it would have to be the M400.....What a great car.

I love how the guys in the vid are just laughing when the Noble blows them away...Awesome

  • Agreed. Finally got one after 4 years. Get one!

  • Damn dude really?? You gotta post video's of that! :O

  • This thing is an Enzo killer (at least under 180MPH).. BTW.. The engine is the 3.0 with reground cams, and forged pistons to handle the boost. The rest is stock Ford. As for how this power is possible? Thank Mr. Jack Roush. He is what they call in the Ford world... The Fucking Man With the Harry Balls (T.F.M.W.H.B.). It's a distinguished title.

  • @qwertywrangler you know not all m400s are rousch powered right?

  • @vivie6389 The good ones are.

  • @qwertywrangler agreed

  • Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, and Black Pudding... VS Sushi lol just no competition...

  • @sw1000xg Haha. Love it mate! :)

  • @sw1000xg You forgot a Big Mac, because the engine in the M400 is a Ford engine tuned by ROUSH.... :-)

  • @Flabernat But the car is biult and engineered by Noble you can put an engine in any car i.e. Mustangs and they perform like a tank!!! Just coz the Engine is American does not mean it's handle because of that engine... It's the car that's engineered that handles!!!

  • @sw1000xg The car is part American due to the ROUSH power plant in it, that's all I'm saying. And besides ROUSH Mustangs are incredibly capable track cars, Jeremy Clarkson will back me up on that, ever watch Top Gear when they lap the ROUSH Mustang around the track?

  • @Flabernat Oh yeah defo got them all digitally stored! the one with the 5K extra spent on the better suspension! Great car I do like Mustangs but the older ones are a bit rubbish considering the L size and the power!!!

  • @Flabernat no, not all m400 are rousch, just some.. there ford mondeo motors(taurus) that put an insane power/weight

  • it's is incredible that noble has the same engine as a mondeo a V6 duratec 3l I would like to know how they made it 420 hp this engine is kind of hard to modify an more with turbos... I have a contour SVT 3L swap headers, intake ,perf exhaust , lightflywheel stage 3 clutch ,built tranny, slicks and it is fast in a contour SVT imagine it with turbos

  • Talk about being beat by a 3L twin turbo Ford powered Noble...

  • That story was soooo good, I had to post it twice... dumbass.

  • My father used to have a Noble M400 that the guys at KTR tuned for an estimated 475HP (it was dyno'd with just under 400HP at the wheels).

In my life I have driven a tuned C6 Corvette, a Lambo Gallardo with upgraded exhaust, a Ferrari F430 and a Porsche 997 TT upgraded to 620HP and the Noble was definitely the most ferocious off the line. Even if you launch the Noble hard, the wheels spin for an instant and then it's like being shot out of a cannon.

  • @enukis Do you feel special?

  • My father had an M400 that the guys at KTR tuned for an estimated 475hp (I think it dyno'd at just under 400 at the wheels).

I have driven a tuned C6 Corvette, a Lambo Gallardo with upgraded exhaust, a Ferrari F430, and a 997 Porsche TT with an upgrade to 620HP and the Noble was definitely the fastest off the line. The amazing part was that even if you launched the Noble hard, the wheels would spin for a fraction of a second and it would take off like you were shot out of a cannon.

  • Ahah, this is great. I love the kids in the 350Z, you just have to laugh when shit like that goes down. Be safe bro.

  • can you smell the rice burning!!!

  • Love the way you just let them go ahead to begin with, onyxm400 and then destroyed them lol.

  • Looks like the driver in the 350Z picked the wrong car to race :-) The M400 is in the same category as the fastest Ferraris, Porsches and Lambos.

  • would you have sex with your mother

  • I seriously would do anything for one of those.

  • I saw 1 4 days ago sitting in a expensive car dealer showroom along with a Audi R8 and the old school Shelby, very nice cars

  • OMG that craz fast speeds for that car!

  • considering that the noble is only running half boost on its turbos, thats something pretty special!

  • There were 220 Noble cars imported into the US, the last came in last year and you cannot buy them new anymore. I happen to have my Noble M12 GTO-3R on ebay right now. It's a NO RESERVE auction that ends this Monday just before noon PST. The car already has bids and will sell, but it will probably be the least expensive Noble purchase in the U.S. as of this point. A shame since the car is in PERFECT condition.

If you're a fan, check it out before Monday.

  • M400 is awesome, ROUSH power and British Handling, . . amazing.

  • if you want a car that is a little faster than the ford gt and cheaper this is your car

  • 1G racing sells this car in the US, but it is kind of confusing because they only sell the chassis.

  • well they sell everything minus the engine to pass it off as a kit car other wise it can not be registered in the USA as it doesn't meet US road safety standards unless classified as kit car

  • haha classic. nobles are pretty damn sexy

  • There's no way that 350z can get close to M400; The guy just waited for them!!! I like 350Z for drifting not for drag.

  • its funny the nissan thinks its the big boy on the road, then at the light it gets destroyed by noble, nice try guys

  • 1:24 LOl funny you guys reacted like ''wut the fuk. XD nice bov on 350z

  • mmmm duratec

  • i like the Z, but the noble is AWESOME man. I really want that car. it's really hard to import it from Europe though =/ I wish they sold it here!! It's like an Enzo for the price of a Porsche 911 turbo

  • I have car 98 registered on PHL 66 less tha 2k on the clock, fully serviced by Tony at the factory(one of the original crew at Noble)Can import to U.S.

I live 2 miles from the factory at Barwell

  • you can easily buy them here in the US, theres a dealer in Illinois who had two, and you always see four or five on ebay. And your right about the price, around 80K for an 06 or 07, pops is looking at one.

  • The nobles are twin turbo v6s and that z was definatel not twin turbo. The Nobles also have like level...8 weight reduction. there is absolutely nothing in the car except a couple of windows and a steering wheel. That Z had pretty much everything stock with all its weight. If you did the same treatment to the Z as the Noble, then you could compare them.

  • is that the same 3.0 twin turbo as whats in the vr4 3000gt?

  • no tt v6 is from ford

  • The Noble has everything the 350 has, except e.w. and driver aids.

  • Curbstomped. Noble M400 = sensual.

  • heheh yeahh m400 fucks the nissan :))

  • No, I believe nyyfan21113 is correct. The M400 is rated at 425 HP. The name "M400" is because of its power-to-weight ratio of 400 horsepower per ton. Awesome car, I love it!

  • not a chance in the world guys lol. nice vid

  • nobles are fuckin amazing!!! and hes pushin about 425hp on 2400lbs

  • i like how you guys are nice about losing... and hes running about 350hp on 2900 lbs, you're at about 350 and 3900 lbs

  • At least they can laugh and still have a good time as the Noble kicks their butt, haha

  • Oh and people stop giving me negative feedback just because you don't agree with me. Thats a real narrow minded, little bitch of a thing to do. If you don't wonna agree with me, then don't agree with me or tell me, but don't leave negative feedback or judgements.

  • wow lol, you're still arguing about this video? why do you think you have so much to prove on here? i have a feeling you have insecurity issues haha.

btw, the feedback system is there for a reason, dont cry when you get negative.

  • First of all I wasn't even talkign to you. I was talking (not arguing) about the video I was talking to Onyx. Second of all I have zip to prove to person such as yourself who would insult a complete stranger for any reason. And I said what I said about the feedback because people were disagreeing with what I said, like sharing a difference in opinion. The ffedback is there IF the person says something inappropraite. The ability to respond is her if we share differene of opinion.

  • Oh and you obviously have nothing better to do with your day but sit in front of your computer, watch youtube videos, and insult someone or get involved in a siutation which doesn't include you, in the attempt to further make yourself feel superior to everyone else here. I go to business school and have better thing s to with my time than respond to narrow minded people such as yourself.

  • says the person writing paragraph after paragraph on a single video, let alone probably dozens of others. and just so you know i was showing this video to a friend (which you probably dont have a lot of) when i saw the last full page of posts were by you

  • Oh and you think that I am responding to just one person all at the same time? Most of these are replies to many people and have been posted over the past year. Do you honestly think that anything you say has any bearing on me? What you are saying on hear obviously has more of an impact on your life. You're the on on hear insulting someone over an idiotic matter, rather than just letting me go about my own business which doesn't involve you!

  • American tuning in a British engineered body, . . Amazing. . :-)

  • @Flabernat American ENGINE tuned and engineered by the British into a British body! Nice engine nonetheless.

  • @Zenkchi99 The 3.0L V6 engine in the M400 was tuned and boosted by ROUSH which is an American company, American grunt, British handling,... brilliant!

  • wow that noble is fucking quick!!

  • 350z got pwned hard

    noble M400 rocks

  • Wow! That Noble blew that 350Z away, . . lol, those things are pretty sweet.

  • Torque is a measurement of force.. nothing to do with HP.. Horsepower is a measurement of work done over time.

    read a book!

  • If torque (ft-lb) has nothing to do with hp, then why is the unit of hp, a ft-lb-s? Answer...because they are related, which is the same reason why one can be converted to the other. You might want to take your own advice.

  • one converted to the other? wtf are you talking about?

  • lol rock on dude.

  • just 1 thing to say owned go noble

  • the noble M400 has almost twice as much bhp as the 350z no competition

  • not even close dude, "MODIFIED" nissan 350z...350z's have about 300 stock and the m400 only has 425 at 12 psi and it was running 6 psi...yea, no. it was probably actually pretty close...

  • No because the Noble weighs 2300pounds with 425 horses and hits 60 in 3.5 sec, the Nissan weights about 3800 pounds likes its pedecessor 300ZX and has less horse power plus less horse power going to the rear wheels, so the amount of BHP, RWHP, are both more than the 350Z by a long shot, plus its weight is almost 1 ton less, You obvisouly negated those facts in your thoughts on the situation.

  • Torque is a measurment based off horsepower. Also, You can have all the "power" in the world, but if you cant it to the ground, its pointless.

  • come to think of it, it is possible, by measuring acceleration of a known mass you can get power... is how G-tech can tell you your cars HP by telling it the cars weight..... DOH!!!

  • for instance, if you want to make more power, prevent your car's torque curve from Sloping down at it's current rate, after it reached max torque. If you can keep your torque curve flat all the way to the rev-limiter, your power increase will be directly proportional to the increase in revs, and max power will acure at rev-limit.

  • actually power is derived from torque. a dyno can only measure torque. It calculates power by taking the torque and the RPM's it measured it at and multiplying them with Pi and dividing with a constant constant. metric is 30000

RPM mult PI() mult torque over 30000 is KW

  • Actually an inertia type dyno (Dynojet) can only measure power, it can then calculate engine torque based on power output (tq = hp x 5252 / rpm).

  • well said!

  • Fuck that Noble pulled hard!!

  • They need to import the M15 to America.

  • Hell yeah man I am so with that. I have been waiting for someone else to say that. I said that in another post and never heard any one else mention the car.

  • What is the music playing in the 350z?

  • i believe its eminem-mockingbird

  • LOL. i still love the Z. Nissan 4life

  • Who is that Bozo to compare a Vette with the Noble...especially on a track, the vette has to get binoculars to see the Noble...even the M12gto one...Since when the American "muscle" cars became trackday cars? They are only good for accelaration due their massive torque, that's all...man..

  • Power is what you what for acceleration, not torque.

  • *what you want

  • actually is both...Torque and power are inescapably linked by the fact that horsepower equals torque (in ft-pounds) times RPM divided by 5250, so people who talk as if they are independent are full of it...(including us both :-) If you have a given torque curve for an engine, you have the horsepower curve also. Knowing how these two numbers work with each other lets you can poke through some of the BS you might read. (torque * RPM * 1/5250 = hp)

  • Its not both, its power. Torque (or force) AND MOTION are required to have power. Work is required for acceleration, the more power an engine can make the more work it can perform and the faster it can accelerate a vehicle. To say that its both torque and power required for acceleration is BS because you cant have power without force to begin with.

  • Sorry, not worded quite right above. Work performed at a certain rate is required to accelerate a vehicle at a certain rate. The more power an engine has the more work it can perform at the same rate or a faster rate.

Anyway, saying its power and torque that makes a fast car is stupid, its almost like saying you need root beer and a root beer float to have a root beer float.

  • I wont point out that torque is a huge factor in the acceleration of the car. Power is all well and good, but a shit load of power without a shit load of torque is pointless.

Its quite simple, torque is how hard your engine can punch, power is how fast it can punch.

  • LOL, nope. Power is everything. Try reading some actual facts instead of what random people have to say about the subject.

  • Not necessarily true if your car is light enough. Take an F1 car for example, close about 900BHP, but the engine is only ike 3.6L (don't quote me on that) and torque is also relatively low (IN COMPARISON TO HP) It really depends on the specifics of the entire car which determines whether or not a lot of torque is needed but in almost all common cases, I agree with you.

  • For accel you want to focus on torque, tire grip (soft compound, tire temps in the optimal range (~150 degrees, which is all dependent on the tire compound), inertia of car, rotational inertia of engine and drivetrain, mass of the drivetrain and engine components. A differential will help as well in addition to a good susp. / susp. setup.

  • You are describing what you learned in high school physics, not from an engineering sense. Anyways, all be on the lookout for a video of OSU drag racing a Noble M400 and beating it here in the next few days (or day). Search OSU FSAE.

  • You want to focus on torque at the wheels, not at the flywheel. The only way to make more torque at the wheels is to make more power at the flywheel.

  • dude, you know ANYTHING about the z06? apparently not...

  • Appearently because you don't know me and don't know the extent of my knowledge which I get from the manufacturers and not from fact twisting magazines then it is unfair for you to say that and your assumption in that is completely unfounded.

  • The vette is a nice car don't get me wrong, but it is not the ultimate, the problem with us Americans is we don't get a lot of the super crazy super cars in the US because they aren't street legal so we are very near sighted as to how many more amazing cars exist, the vette is a small fish in an extremely large, and brutal pond.

  • There is a company out of Ohio called 1G Racing. They sell them and they're about 60K for the rolling chassis

  • a 350z would not stand a chance against an m400.

  • every video i see about the noble people are comparing it

to the 350z. it dosent take much brains to know the noble is better in performance, value and looks. the noble is a good comparison to the ford gt

  • looks are subjective rtard, performance wise it has a lot more pwoer but at the track the Z hold its own for a fraction of the price.

  • A fraction of the price? The Z06 is 70,000 dolllars, you are talking a the same starting price, the M400 can cost as much as 90,000 depending on options plus go to 1gracing and look at the track diagram the vette would get so fucked up, The 400 is faster off the line, has similar top ed speed and waaaaaaay out handles the vette.

  • I Live 4 miles from the Noble workshop in Barwell, UK (too small to call manufacturing plant, its a small industrial unit) and i see them being tested from time to time, brilliant cars.

  • thats the sound a true race car has

  • I've never even heard of that car but it sure is fast.

  • wow that car was insane

  • Thats not an M400, thats a M12GTO, my dads got one, and they eat everything else on the road.

  • yeah that is until it runs acros a C6 Z06. no no, don;t bother I have seen waht happens when the two meet. not even close as the Z06 walks it by a mile.

  • You wish dude. On a bad day an M400 would put up about the same times.

  • Still a Vette.

  • lap times

    Noble M400 2:00.40

    Z06 2:01.00

    noble m400 0-60 3.3| 0-100 7.8| 1/4 mile 11.7

    Z06 0-60 3.8| 0-100 8.3| 1/4 mile 11.8

go to goole and search for "z06 vs m400" and go the result from car and driver.

  • Wow I said the exact samething the first time I saw the video and everyone that read my comment told me I was wrong. The air inlets on the side are wrong for this to be an M12GTO R3.

  • Well duh.. What did they expect? :P

  • the Noble wasn't trying at all....

    Just playing around....

  • That Noble should have beaten the 350z worse. The 350z doesn't come close to hitting 60 in 3.5 secs. So either the Noble wasn't trying very much or the guy in the Nissan is amazing at launching his car. I think neither is the case.

  • read the description, the noble was only running 6 psi (rather than the 12 psi stock)

  • Yes let me ask you a question how could a car run 12PSI stock and make 425 horses and then be bought by someone who would turn down the PSI? instead of turn up and still make the same amount of horsepower. Use your bain dude no one buys a car which is faster than any Ferrari off the line and turns down the power. Enzo 0-60 in 3.695sec (Ferrari's website). M400 0-60 3.5 (Noble website).

  • I turned the boost down because the car was not fully broken in yet. It's a convenient way to limit the power during the break in process.

  • Ok. Sorry I stand corrected in that case, I wasn't aware of that type of technique, usually when I am going through a break in process I just try not to get too crazy with the throttle but your idea is perfectly logical.

  • You should really try to stay off the rev limiter though.

  • Yep, was well under the 7200 RPM recommended max.

  • Not according to the audio, according to the audio you bounced off of rev max in 1st gear at about 30-35MPH then shifted into 2nd and finally took the 350z which was ahead of you starting off the any ways.I may sound like a kid to everyone on here but I am seasoned performance TRACK driver. I know what I am hearing and seeing.

  • If you are from the united states, then why is your english so horriblealso you are in your 20's. Anyways the noble's acceleration is in the 3 second range. The 350z timed the lights by looking at the other signal. 350z suckz

  • Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize there was an English professor in the room who was also an ignorant prick and an expert on automobiles as well. Perhaps you could enlighten me as to how you figure my english is bad? also I told the EXACT acceleration of the Noble M400 just before you for some reason responded and gave a less accurate time then I did. So who is the fool now? Look in some of my last posts.

  • nothing you said there made any sense...npormally i would sit here and point out everything you said but im too tired to care and sick of arguing with people on youtube that know absolutely nothing about anything. one thing i have to ask though, is what exactly do you know from the manufacturers that wasnt already stated and people dont know and what brought you to say that because you restated everything i said (apparently i get info from manufacturers too)

  • Dude if you actually read what I said CAREFULLY and COMPLETELY instead of being a little critical bitch you would understand everything I just said and apparently someone else completely understood what I said because replied to my comment too. So maybe you should check yourself.

  • By the way its not me giving you negtive ratings to stop giving me them, thinking you are getting back at me.

  • awsome video, wish it had been taken in daylight tho - i love the noble.

  • A very rare encounter with a street legal track car. Those machines are extremely cheap compared to the performance they offer. BTW, what was the music playing in your car?

  • No idea, the Noble's mine. I got the video after running into the 350z guy at a later date.

  • My bro just told me the song name: "mocking bird from eminem" for those that wanted to know like myself. Also curious are there dealers that sell Nobles or do they get individually ordered/shipped. I've seen a few on eBay for around $65-70k but don't know where they came from.

  • as far as I know they are only sold as kit cars for the US because they are not street-legal as a regular production car....you have to buy the body/chassis and whole powertrain i.e. engine, transmission etc separate and then have it assembled here...I saw an M12 GTR at an exotic used car dealer here yesterday but that was the first one I have seen here street-legal

  • I hate to tell you guys that but that wasn't an M400 that was a M12GTO 3, you can tell because the side inlets are different for one thing and for the other if it were an M400 that Nissan would have had another 13 new assholes torn of it instead of the 10 it already recieved, The M400 takes 3.5 to hit 60 and is .1 seconds faster than the Enzo which is 0 to 60 in 3.6 not 3.2 or bs like that Ferrari said it was 3.6

  • It's an M400, it has the rear fender scoops. Anthracite wheels are standard on the M400, silver are optional.

It has a Blitz Dual-SBC controller instead of the stock one. There are roughly 160-180 Nobles in the US, but only about 130 or so are built.

  • Too hard to see if it has the scoops or not, but I don't see them. If it does have an adjustable boost controller, the motor won't last long. I talked with Shane and Dean at 1G about that mod, and they absolutely do NOT recommend it!!! Finally, there are just over 200 Nobles in the US now....again, these numbers are from the importers themselves...1G Racing.

  • The motor costs $4200, if it pops, which I doubt, another is cheap. A boost controller is recommended by zero manufacturers and distributors, regardless of make.

Chassis #182, an M400, was just picked up from 1gracing yesterday, 11/12/06. Chassis #183 is still at 1gracing as of today.

  • Z was moded, but still normally aspirated. This car is one of the 130 or so Nobles in the USA right now.

  • Hmmmm....several errors in the video description here. I think that's actually an M12, not an M400. It doesn't have the larger door scoops, and it has the silver wheels. Secondly, Nobles don't have adjustable boost controllers. Also, there are just over 200 Nobles in the U.S. now.

  • Thats a nice car man!!! wish we had them here in US. US sucks!!! did that z have any mods or was it stock?

  • Nobles are cool cars, they don't way anything and have lots of power. Great combination. Great video I like the they laugh it off, that what playing with cars should be like.

  • Great vid. Nice to laugh it off like that.

  • Nobles are awsom iv been for a drive in one and they will blow most other performance cars away.

  • That car is just insane. Ah what I'd do to own one.

  • Nobles are badass, you cant beat that type of performance for that little amount of money

  • The Noble m12/m400 has been voted the best British car in production atm, proberly only to be beaten by the new M15 introduced at the British motor show.

  • I can't believe nobody's commented on this video yet. Noble makes some of the best sports cars in the world. The M400 has a 4 liter 6-cylinder with twin turbos, and can get from 0-60 in about 3.6 seconds, 0-100 in about 8.5 seconds. Simply amazing cars; just that most people in the US haven't ever heard of them :( Us poor Americans, don't get many of the best cars in the world.

  • The M400 is a 3 litre twin turbo pushing out 425bhp.
