This was one of the most depressing scenes in any game I've ever played, not only because it was well written but also because you knew you were making the right choice to save Sue. Props to her to making it that far at...what? ~7-8 years old? Gotta love Grandia.
I agree, such a sad and depressing tune. Still brings tears to my eyes to this day. You know it's a great RPG when you actually care about what happens to the characters.
I truly cried when that scene came. Besides Final Fantasy VII, I've never seen a game, where you have to say goodbye to one or more of the main characters, let alone a character that you're playing from the very beginning.
Truly, Grandia was one of the very best RPG games I've ever played. So good in fact, that I dare say it's better than Final Fantasy VII.
@TimoWikstrom then try out Suikoden 2, nor Grandia, nor FF7 made me cry... but Suikoden 2 shredded my soul and made it whole again (at the end of the game, with the hardest to get ending :)
@zo1ek mmm i think i know what sceane you think of but i felt like suikoden wasnt as sad when "it" "disapeared" as for "it" is to hard to feel anything for.
Sue was an Good Character and stuff, But i gotta admit... She kind of sucked in battle, Her attacks were slow, And when she gets struck, It takes like 4 Seconds for her to recover.
I still felt sorry by just hearing this theme, Good Game, Good Music, Good Story... This game is almost an perfected masterpiece!
@Xotser i think its good that she sucked in battle seeing as kids that age shouldnt have been in battle anyways. and she is so small no wonder it takes time to recover :D
in my opinion, sue was actually getting better, but the last thing was that justin said she is still a child and thats where she went down. she finally admitted that now that even justin said it. but just my opinion...
She was really tired when she go to gadwin's town .. She had crossed over the end of the world wall with justin and feena ..
And she became overwhelmingly tired ...
So, justin and feena decided to instead of using the transportation orb they found to go to angelou .. They used it instead of sending Sue and puffy home to Parm..
And obviously, this is the music that plays when Sue is ready to go home to parm..
i know i liked sue she was like the life of the party like when they started to climb the wall she kept going and going -crys- lolz grandia best game ever and im going to go for it and say it was the best game of 1997 even better then final fantasy 7!!!!!! yes i went there people!~!
*sigh* It was so depressing when Sue left...Man, is it sad that there are RPGers who cry for at the most a week for a character? *sigh* The journey felt so...lonely without Sue...
You realize that even though Sue is a good friend and party member, she is still a child at heart. We all get (or got) homesick at one time or another...
And now Farewell to Takeshi Miyaji... :/

The first minute of this sounds just like a slowed down version of Chim Chim Cheree from Mary Poppins.
