I built that exact Corsair. How much you want a bet that engine overheated on his first flight? He has no airflow through that radial engine replica. I had that issue with mine. VERY AWESOME work he did on it though. Definately don't want to fly it now HAHAHA!
Too 'pretty'; for me that is with my abysmal flight-record. I'd have to content myself with extended taxi-runs up and down my driveway and hoping an errant breeze wouldn't loft her.
Check out this GIANT Dynamic Soaring glider that has a 200" wing span and weighs 77pounds. It flys supper fast too, in fact we made a video of this plane flying up to 425mph.
I WAS enjoying a decent meal until...."SLICKER THAN SNOT" Please let's retire that. How about..."Slicker than ice"? How about that, we'll say that. Yes there is a bit of super cynicism here, when you work just ONE shift at the counter of a parts store or dealership or autobody supply shop, you'll understand. Everybody's gotta come in the door with their little catch phrases, tired and lame, every single one. Other than that, great video..LOL
am i the only one thinking to put a GI joe toy in there and/or stick a peice of dynamite on it to see big boom?(shit if i was rich enough id build it just to blow it up)
7 grand ? For what ? I think this should be put up for auction to a collector . I have been flying since 1978 and I know this type of builder /flyer , I'll bet 90% of the time at the field is just what your watching a test of all the goodies and the fun of having people tell you how nice it looks and the cost . Corsairs have a glide ratio of 1 to 1 if this planes overwieghs its wing area he's got some problems on his hands . Video a flight please !

Your plane is and has always been my favorite plane. Is it scratch build? Where did you find the plans or the kit? The folding wing operation was great and so was the canopy slide!
How typical. Probably will never fly it... either keep working on it till he dies, or nose-it-in on the first flight (but he'll wait for no one to be at the field before he flies to not make a fool).
ilive in toronto any one who live in toronto can tell me where can i find shopes of these planes. i want to buy. i looking from one year shopes of these planes.
many of those shops wont carry the giant scale models. ( have to be ordered) not saying they are NOT available, quite the opposite, they are available, ive foudn a few in shops, btu that plane would take up a HUGE amount of floorspace , and it somethign that would sell, but not as many as a smaller ( and less expensive) plane
what about that makes it 7 grand??. alot of these details is based around the build up of the structure and adding servos and air components in the right places.. the sequencing devices is the only thing I dont know enough about to comment.. but really, with steady hands and some skill, you can engineer alot of cool features into an airframe for little monetary investment..still a cool set-up tho, regardless of cost
@jonnyasprin - The Corsair was typically a carrier based plane, hence the fold-up wings to conserve space in the flight hangars below the main flight deck.
its a shame that the industry doesn't share the same passion as the builders. I can view, write, watch, share, play from a computer device that fits in my back pocket, but retract companies cant get it right with the timing. its a dam shame.
thast amazing! I tell you though If i was into that realistic scale hobby I would be very dissapointed in the fact that the retracts for the landing gear and wings could operate smoothly and symmetrically. Im yet to see one that works like that. You spend tons of money and spend lots of time for that scale look but when you show it off one wing opens fast and the other slow.

cool plain. But i wonder if there is a way to slow the action of the wings down to make it more realistic. You know more like real hydrolics. I like how he stagered the action of the wings just like the real thing.
