i love the soul and power they play with. led zeppelin lived for the music. no one could ever do it better. robert plant is god! page IS led zeppelin and everything behind it. john paul jones was a great musician and i think he diserves a lot more credit then he gets and last but not least bonham. For the 2003 release they used a note here and there from 8/11/79 and some footage but this is essentially a near perfect performance
Heroin...the reason why page's playing live in the end of Led Zeppelin was so sloppy. Heroin inhibits the brains natural release of dopamine and serotonine, the "elixirs" of happiness, feelings. Thus, how can one feel music, the emotion of music and of sound when one depends on a chemical de resupply with the needed.

Eh, In my opinion Plant didn't sing up to his usual capability (he actually sounded kind of sick, was he under the weather during that time?) and Page was obviously stoned to the point of missing several notes. And the sound quality wasn't as good compared to Knebworth. The band may not have been as young and energetic, but it's the performance that counts.

You are right about cameramen should be showing the whole band - but stated in an interview, JPJ says he doesn't like to be shown on camera very much. That's probably the reason.

Oh my god. NONE of these guys are fucking overrated. Bullshit to say. Plant's raw lead-vocal, Pages' explosive riffs n Jones' n Bonhams thick wall of sound has made one of the most incredible bands in the world. They are - simply - perfect. Page is one of the most amazing guitar players ever existed. Many will agree with me.

You are right about cameramen should be showing the whole band - but stated in an interview, JPJ says he doesn't like to be shown on camera very much. That's probably the reason.

Plant's raw lead-vocal, Pages' explosive riffs n Jones' n Bonhams thick wall of sound has made one of the most incredible bands in the world. They are - simply - perfect.
