I clean the water at my local park. The garbage left by humans is enormous. Anyways, a person told me that this year there are over a hundred more ducklings and young birds. Compared to only a handful the last couple of years. It doesn't cost me a penny to pick up the trash, and wash the bird poo out of the water. Its a natural process. I love the idea.

How can you be sure it will be actually used to the purpose described in the video?
Usually the money is delivered to a corrupt leader in Africa, and goes straightaway to his bank account, or used to buy weapons instead.
The only way to make sure your charity gets where it should is sending basic food packages.

I clean the water at my local park. The garbage left by humans is enormous. Anyways, a person told me that this year there are over a hundred more ducklings and young birds. Compared to only a handful the last couple of years. It doesn't cost me a penny to pick up the trash, and wash the bird poo out of the water. Its a natural process. I love the idea.

ok listen all of you i know almost all about africa seing as that was the debate topic this year and my case was water for the poor act. this video is bad and portrays SOS (spectacle of suffering) now scientist have developed a purification device into the size of a ketchup packet that purifies atleast 80% of the water and only costs a few cents each and it cleans up to 2 1/2 gallons which lasts 2-3 days so cleaning the water is cheep and seings as the planet is made of 2/3 water we have enough

When you look at a video like this, you have to wonder how much money actually goes to the people who need it the most and how much goes to advertising agencies, broadcasters, production companies (actors, extras, crew, director etc.), website developing and hosting, taxes etc. Just because this charitywater person says all of the people involved donated their time doesn't make it true. Nobody knows who this person is, they have no credibility.

I was implying more then just wells, I was trying to impress the point that for 2000 yrs they are not progressing and it is not our responibility "forever", yes we must help but the help been going on for 100yrs in the form of missions. Suffering is bad, my point is, they are a society, as such "their own masters of destiny yet they fail ever time to provide the basics as race/ethnic group.
