I think Fox viewers tend to be an older aged crowd who wouldn't even take a survey online (which was probably how the Maryland study was done), so I wouldn't put a ton of stock into that research- but I tend to be critical (and I do watch Fox along with other news stations)

The Quran never states that the world needs to be taken over and dominated by muslims. You can read some verses and try to interpret them in that light, but there is no verse stating that it muslims must take over the world.

1- The facts are that for 99% of human history, an adult was one who reached the age of puberty. That's why boys in the jewish religion have thier barmitzvas at 13. The averaeg age for marriage for women was 12 up until a few hudred years ago. That's the standard for humanity. Western civilization says you're an adult when you're 18. God says you're an adult when you've hit puberty regardless of the time in history.

I think Fox viewers tend to be an older aged crowd who wouldn't even take a survey online (which was probably how the Maryland study was done), so I wouldn't put a ton of stock into that research- but I tend to be critical (and I do watch Fox along with other news stations)

In Dar al-Aman (such as many non-Muslim countries), many of the injunctions and rulings are very similar to Muslim lands (dar al-Islam), thus the command of following the laws of the land would also apply in these non-Muslim lands. (See: Radd al-Muhtar).

They also paid toher tirbes Jewish and non jewish to break peace treties with the muslims. They didn't find any wepons stockpiles. There's a big difference. Peoples personal wepons and the weapons they would have used to defend themselves they had. The Quran never states that the world needs to be taken over and dominated by muslims. You can read some verses and try to interpret them in that light, but there is no verse stating that it muslims must take over the world.
God being all knowing doesn't mean that he legislates right and wrong based on our culture in the western world in 2010. Some of our moral codes are not compatible with nature, but fit in in our unatural, technologicaly advanced environment.

1- The facts are that for 99% of human history, an adult was one who reached the age of puberty. That's why boys in the jewish religion have thier barmitzvas at 13. The averaeg age for marriage for women was 12 up until a few hudred years ago. That's the standard for humanity. Western civilization says you're an adult when you're 18. God says you're an adult when you've hit puberty regardless of the time in history.

I have been in over 26 countries, so I have traveled and I can tell you without any doubt that females that play with dolls are girls, mentally, even if physically not.
In every country I have been, including, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, to name a few...a 12 yr old is a CHILD, even in the Sinai. These kids are forced to sell things or work, rather than go to school, but they are kids, in every sense of the word.

To begin with the Talmud does not say that 3 yr old girl can be married, it says that to marry a 3 or 12 yr old girl is wrong and uses it as a comparison on right vs wrong.

You're still lookin at this from our historical/societal persoective. If you lived in the amazon jungle and could expect to die of old age at 45 years old, there was no grade school, no high school, no reading, no medical care, everybody had parasites and suffered chronic malnutrition, you would have been a married at 11, and had kids by 12 so that you could see you grandchildren before you died. Not the truth, Jihad is commanded for all Muslims, and the koran clearly seperates the Muslims that fight in Jihad (above the other Muslims) against those that don't, in fact, this verse is referring exactly to that:

The Quran sets limits on the institution of slavery and labels it as a bad thing. Free people can't be forced into slavery, slaves can own property money etc. New slaves are usually prisoners of war. God restricted the practice of slavery to phase it out. Today, very few muslims would argue it's permissible to own slaves.

The Torah was written by men, who could only have known what was appropriate at the time, that is why the Torah is changed by Tenach, same with the Bible.

Today we have modern slavery in the sweat shops. Where people are paid 1$ or 2$ a day. Where they can't afford basis food housing and clothing.

The Jews were chosen to be the people that codified monotheism for the people of the world. From their prophets teachings came Christianity and Islam (whether you like to admit it or not). Jesus and Muhammad were the prophets who brought the message of the Torah to the world.
The 7 Noachide laws and the message of absolute monotheism are common amongst the 3 religions and are preched as universal values.

As for your quotes of quran 49:13 and 2:62, the koran uses abrogation, meaning is an earlier part of the koran is in contrast with a later part, the later writing is the only one to read and follow.
Chapter 9, the last chapter of the koran (chapters are not in order of time, but length) nullifies any earlier passages, making them totally null and void, but you already know that..right?

Proof of your ignorance of the quran is that you think chapter 9 is the last revealed chapter of the Quran. Surha 110 is the last revealed chapter of the quran.
Chapter 9 is the only surah that doesn't star with bismilahi rahmani rahim. This is for 2 reasons. A) It was reavealed mostly on the campiang of tabuk refereing mostly to a very specific historic event. B) It is to be studied in conjunction with chapter and the laws of war thierein.

According to Islamic scholars and all information on the koran, imam, etc, "the last revelation Muhammad is said to have received was Surah 9 (Repentance)"
I looking up surah 110, there are those that say it was the last, however 9 was just slightly before it, but definitely after your peaceful quotes (which was my point)

No, all islamic scholars say this was the last revealed surah. It was revealed after the conquest of mecca which came after the campain to tabuk and if you knew the Quran half as well as you say you do, you would have known that.
The other falsehood you repeated, was that one chapter abrogates the entire quran before it. The only chapter that was revealed in conjunction with another somehow superseeds it?

We can see this other places in the koran also: Surah 2:219: "They ask thee concerning wine and gambling. .." does not prohibit, mentions that Muslims drank and gambled &Surah 4:43 talks about Muslims not going to pray drunk, however Surah 5:93 prohibits drinking

I didn't say that there is no abrogation, what i said was that surah 9 does not abrogate the whole quran. To know which verses abrogate others, requires a very good tafsir of quran and huge amounts of knowledge surrounding the situation. Some abrogates verses are paired with other verses, others abrogate verses only in certain circumstances.
This is why when people say that chapter 9 which is paired with chapter 8 abrogates the whole book, they are speaking from ignorace.

You see, chapter 9 is part of the war surahs. Chapter 8 does much more in defining what is a valid reason to go to war, how that point is reached and how peace should be sought as the battle rages on. Read 8:56 to 61
Now after this has been exausted, (as the treaty was broken by murder) chapter 9 was revealed in that specific campain. And if you know history, when they got to tabuk, the byzantine army wasn't there so they didn't even figfht.

There is no such thing as an islamophobe, since Islam is a real threat, or have you not noticed. Just yesterday, the Time Square bomber who had taken an oath to be an American, was proud to say that he wanted to kill thousands of americans, as the koran tells him to.
I haven't seen even one small rally, where the Muslims are going out and protesting his trying to kill as many Americans as possible. Is that since the Muslims are so peaceful and only 1% is violent?

It always amazes me when i meet people who will use the UN Balfour declaration as a legal right to settle the land of palestine but will refute every UN declaration against settlements and occupation as non binding. How Jews have a right to that land by nationality and a 2000 year old ownership statement but refuse the same calim by palestinians whom they call philistines, a people that were there before the Jews....
