I agree! I get a little tired with people slating Bond all the time, yay for some positivity! This is a great cover. They have a great stage chemistry if you watch them. That's one of the most important things in performance. Your rapport with the other musicians.

These may look recorded but keep in mind that this is not a singing concert, voices may sound different live but musical instruments do not (unless they are horribly miscalibrated). A C# is a C# whether heard in a recording studio or in a concert hall. Besides, they're using electric instruments. IMHO though, talented + sexy + wickedly awesome = WIN!

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Been trying to explain how instrumental groups like Bond tend to sound the same for the most part when compared to their albums.

Although in live performances, the bass tends to be more well heard, and there tends to be changes in the background music sometimes too.

Oh, and I also felt like saying that it also sounds recorded because it's a DVD. If you have ever watched live concerts taped by regular people and compare it to professional ones like these, you will notice the professional ones tend to try and get rid of most of the screaming for the crowd and such.

They are not playing live. It's a pre recorded track with acoustic violins, viola, and cello.  Those Yamaha Silent violins sound nothing like that, even with processing.

They're using electric voilins. Yes, such instruments exist. Cellos too. There might be the lag happening, though, which may justify your thought of them not really playing. ;)
