  • damn bro, u inspired me to learn pop locking lol

ima bboi jus like u(minus the crazy power moves u got) and im definitly gonna learn this now cuz of u.

  • Fresh

  • like dis

  • it look more like a bboy move :P

  • Hey guys, just wondering: That 1 very basic lock at 2:00, i just can't it down. Is there a tutorial online on YT or can somebody please help me out?

    Much appreciated!

  • @joost1235 how long u been trying to do it, it can take days trust me

  • what's da song?

  • this isn't the skeeter rabbit

  • look´s like "locking with rocking flavor" from gemini, france ( locking4life)

..your great man! keep on teaching!!!

  • hey dude, im not a very good locker myself. i just started recently but when you do your which-a-ways try making your upper body still or i suggest bring your upper body lower. it might give a funky look to it :) no disrespect meant :)

  • The moral here: if you don't have that big of a head, don't wear that big of a hat.

Avoid putting tutorials up if you haven't learned from reputable teachers in that style (or teachers from a proven lineage). Or at the very least, stay humble and acknowledge what level you think you're at in the video (the cover your butt clause). Otherwise we end up with "expertvillage" tutorials (God they're awful) and we have OG's of the dance unhappy that their moves are passed on incorrectly.

  • Thanks for the tutorials Shawn!

  • NOPE ALL WRONG....IT LOOKS MORE LIKE THE SKEETER RABBIT...

  • NOPE ALL WRONG....

  • nice one.. shawn

  • I really wanna learn how to lock... but i don't know anymore after seein this lol

  • I actually like his feel . However I wonder has he ever talked 2 the person who created the move. whats the shuffle move mean, whered it come from , why the Clinched fist ending, that is put on the Dble move of the SR to the Scoo b Doo. what about the basic SkeeteRabbit itself without the greeting.. , can it b done with a foot announcement.. and give me a twist on the original move.. how do I know I'm just a dancer from the 70s who created the move

    much luv to you

    Og SkeeterRabbit

  • @lockerlegends SUp. Much love much respect to you. Def. no disrespect from me to you. I understand that the pioneers gave us a great funky dance and i love them for that. I just do my part learning, dancing, and teaching. This whole convo started from a typo in the video. Feel free to educate me and answer those Q's for me.

  • thank u

  • Your have your own style on skeeter rabbit and scoby doo ,man:)

But your which way isn't on the tempo.

    a little bit slow

  • NICE!, at first i was like why it looks so different..you pretty funky man, create moves, u gon be an OG one day

  • thnx for the tutorials shawn xD .......

  • @lockerlegends before you ragg on me you should check the "title" and the "info." I got respect for history and i already stated that it wasnt the scoobydoo. I didn't want to re-do a whole tutorial because i slipped on the name at the start of the video. In addition i also annotated the mistake.

  • @Muzicsoulrhythm i like the way when people give comments on what ur doin wrong or they ask for help or tips .............u always kno what to say...................thanks shawn for your vids there really good

  • @lockerlegends dam ninja. you got owned. He just proved to you that you cannot read for shit.

  • @lockerlegends hahah u seriously said shawn isnt educated umm u should watch all his videos and then say hes not educated he has tutorials on almost every style.

  • @blake10001 being fair, keep in mind that being educated means "correct" knowledge. Just b/c someone seems like they can do a lot of different styles doesn't mean they can do each style correctly. In other words, the outer shell is there, but it's missing the yolk. You have no idea who lockerlegends is with respect to the locking community, so don't be naive, granted this ordeal started from a typo.

  • @azn1prince hmmm he got a name mixed up :L . in hiphop period everyone dose there style uniquely its not about the perfect way a move was created its about expressing but still capturing peoples minds while ur doing what u love. shawn is very modest but he is like one of the best in my opinion and also in the opinion of most of his subss

  • @blake10001 I understand how names get mixed up & I'm not faulting him. His locking is FAR from being the best though. Btw, locking is not hip hop, but yes, everyone has their own style, but they still have to do it within boundaries which consists of proper technique. Shawn looks like a bboy/hip hopper trying to pick up locking, which is fine. I'm just saying that we should acknowledge when we're beginners at something & avoid teaching others when we are. Only teach what you're good at.

  • @blake10001 (cont.) If he's a bboy to start and has lots of experience, then go ahead and put tutorials up. But for the locking, maybe he should have waited a little so that he could refine his technique & clarify his knowledge before putting a tutorial up. Not doubting his modesty as a person, but the action he chose (putting tutorials up w/ < 1 yr exp in that style) doesn't help in that regard. Just my 2 cents on the situation.

PS: I think you're mistaking "entertainment" for "dance".

  • i can't find your tutorial of the kick cross step?

  • go go go, nice.

  • yo ur vids help alot im a krumper tryin 2 crossover 2 popping bboy and lockin so this was pretty helpfulyur movement is sick any tips on how to make my moves flow in a clean way?

  • hey you got a funky looking skeeter. most people kick and land on the same leg. its all good though because you keep the same pace. you from nor cal?

  • your such a lol!

  • NO!NO!OSAKA NO1!

  • eeeh. you should be stepping out on to the foot that you kick out with.

  • what you did at the end there looked dope as hell.

  • hey man i can do the locking with my arms, waist and shoulders etc. but i cant do that top rock foot work thing and its just looks sick and u make it look easy tho i know it isnt,.. so wat advice wud u give some1 like me 2 practice so that eventually it will just come naturally when im dancing... cuz i cant think 2 hard wen im dancing it has 2 come natural...

if u got any links 2 other vids that might help me then that would be wicked. thx

  • what is that move called where you act like ur playing Guitar? someone help

  • @xXxIceGodxXx
