  • thank you! so any suggestions for slimming down the thighs and hips?

  • @cyn7602 A good diet combined with 3 or 4 intense total-body circuit training workouts per week. There's no way to specifically target your thighs and hips. Just exercise intensely for your whole body and you'll see the results you desire on your thighs and hips (as well as of course the rest of your body toning up as well).

  • Will this slim down the thighs as well? How many reps do you suggest for beginners?

  • @cyn7602 You can't spot reduce your thighs by performing squats. You can't spot reduce the fat from any area of your body by performing exercises that target that specific area. With that being said, bodyweight squats are a tremendous fat-burning exercise. For bodyweight squats I don't recommend you do sets based on a set number of reps. I suggest you include bodyweight squats as one exercise in a circuit training workout, and do squats for 40 to 60 seconds. Work up to that if you're a beginner.

  • could i do this type of squat holding a dumbell in front of me?

  • @Franchan10 Yes, you can hold one dumbbell with both hands with the dumbbell at your chest, or you should hold one dumbbell in each hand with the dumbbells at your shoulders.

  • you sound like dane cook lol

    and thanks btw

  • omg.. I just learn something. I never notice the heel thing. Thank you! I can't believe I've been doing them wrong.

Question: Do you have a video that teaches how to perform a proper push up. I can't do push up I always sag. What is the secret? :) Thank you in advance!

  • @Protogirl I have a bunch of videos on YouTube that demonstrate the proper way to do a pushup. YouTube doesn't let you post links in the comments, so I can't post a direct link to the video, but do a search for "pushup exercise mike roulston", and click the link with the title "Pushup Exercise".

  • he sounds out of breath after one squat,is he really in shape?lol

  • haha that cat is coo

  • cat makes the video

  • hahahahaha

  • The cat is thinking "maybe so, but I will always be faster, have more endurance and be stronger relative to my bodyweight than you - just lying here chillin"

  • Why is it that you stay on your heels? Without weights, surely more resistance is put on the quads by going on the balls of your feet, as well as strengthening the heels and improving balance.

  • Squatting properly requires your weight to be on your heels. If you shift the weight to the balls of your feet, you'll be leading with your knees going forward rather your hips going back and down. A simple way to tell if you're squatting improperly is if your heels lift off the ground during the squat.
