  • Why does the vid keep saying 'pretty girls' then show Rebecca Watson? It's an oxymoron, surely?

  • @tpr007 Only if you find "pretty" and "girls" mutually contradictory. I do not.

  • I find SMART chicks hot... not Rebecca Watson.

  • Everything I wanted to know about rk watson I learned at Elevatorgate.

I'll take the next lift thank you

  • Rebecca Watson, Pimping the Sexualization of herself, and other SkepChicks, by flashing flesh & Boobs. And here she is complaining that people shouldn't sexualize her by politely, and sheepishly asking her out for convo & coffee.

Would she happily have gone for the coffee If he had told her he would give her $50 for her skin calendar afterwards I wonder?! Rebecca seems like a hypocrite from here. A vengeful, fanatical, radical, man-hating sexist prick!

  • UG ......

  • elevatorgate

  • @jffryh What makes people tack "-gate" on the end of words like that? Does anyone actually think it's clever or creative? There's all this talk about trivializing shit going around, and here people are trivializing corruption at the highest levels of government by comparing it to people bitching on the internet.

  • @Rystefn "-gate" has developed into suffix meaning "scandel" I don't think it's meant to be particularly clever. maybe it's meant as a bit of a joke, equating the trivial with the serious sarcastically. then even watergate was a bit trivial relative to other issues, such as war and peace. Actually the only issue there is that is not trivial at this time in history is climate change. venus syndrome. onehundredmonths. org - 66 months and counting.

  • @jffryh No, I'm pretty sure it started with a few people thinking they were clever, and now it's just a bunch of fucking sheep following along without thinking.

  • @Rystefn people do seem to be taking this elevator shit pretty F-ing seriously.

  • @jffryh This is true.

  • @Rystefn I feel more sympathy for dawkins' point of view.

  • @jffryh - Watergate was trivial, even a bit? Really? What parts? The White House authorized breaking and entering of the DNC offices? The slush fund? The attempted cover up? Maybe the abuse of power in firing the Attorney General his deputy and the special independent council? Yes, the US was still involved in Vietnam, but to suggest that some of the most serious felonious conduct by a President and his administration against this nation was at all trivial is an stupefyingly ignorant remark.

  • @broadjumper1 Is there absolute immoveable objective line in sand you could draw separating trivial from nontrivial? OK Nixon's crimes were serious I guess. I know of worse crimes. He also did couple things that weren't all bad. He created EPA is one. Roman emperors all constantly murdered barbarians, Roman citizens, their own families. With global warming now, we face incineration of all life on earth. Tipping point is in 65 months. Planet is overpopulated w people. We could use more violence

  • @jffryh - Yes, I consider some of abuses in Congress to be trivial, Clinton's "lie" to be trivial even though illegal, but these have to be judged on a case-by-case basis with consideration given to the historical context and times in which they occurred. As for global warming, who exactly is to blame for this? And what would violence do to resolve or overpopulation. Even during the WWII era, world population increased by approximately 200 million people.

  • As it happens, i saw Phil Plait (Bad Astronomer) speak this weekend at CFI. He and CFI were supporting our effort to get Carl Sagan put on a US postage stamp (ideally a forever-class stamp).

So what's this got to do with skepchicks?

I've spent the weekend shooting nudes of a skepchick. Tasteful ones of course.

Of course, taste is a relative thing... ;-)

  • Envy, jealousy, and hatred, in equal measures... OK, so not really. Mostly just envy from this end. The hatred totally flows the other way, last I checked.

Out of curiosity, might I inquire as to which SkepChick, specifically?

  • I had no idea that people could get jealous over signing the Carl-Sagan-on-a-stamp petition! :-)

Perhaps "skepchick" means something other than what i thought. I thought it meant any reasonably-attractive free-thinking, science-minded, skeptical female. Your usage of the word suggests some kind of membership? My shoots have been with non-believer, science-degreed (mostly biology) vegans or vegetarians- one of whom actually works as a real live scientist. Another edited medical journals.

  • That motorboat comment busted me up.

  • It still makes me laugh. That, and it makes me feel the sudden need to purchase a black vinyl bustier.

    Scary.

  • Is this song by "Leningrad"?

  • Yes.

  • Teh Monkey! DO NOT HIGH-HAT!

    ;)

    Kisses

  • LoL... Woo-hoo! My joke wasn't lost completely.

  • Dude, you crack me up, here and on the Skepchick comments. Ms. Pacman kicks a**.

    Improbable Bee

    P.S.

    Brain: Check.

    Boobs: Double check.

    I'm good to go!

  • I live to give... Well, that's a lie, but it sounded good, so I went with it. I really live to make pretty girls smile at me.

  • I like smiling, so that sounds like a good arrangement! :D

  • Awesome! Feel free to poke around my channel and check out my other vids, if you have the time. At least one or two of them don't suck very much...

  • Awesome-nasty-sexy! I like it!

  • I do what I can.

  • Everybody likes smart boo-- I mean girls!

    Where do I sign up?!
