Bottom seeds dont have a chance at the Stanley Cup? If you ask me a team with the best chance at winning is a team with a game changing player (Ryan Miller), and a team that enters the race while there hot. THE SABRES HAVE BOTH. If the year started February 22nd, we would be the number 1 seed in the NHL, that day was Pegula Day. Is it a sign? Only time will tell.
Sabres fans are so excited about Terry Pegula because we have had to deal with "bottom line" economics when it comes to our sports teams for their entire existence. Briere, Drury, Campbell, etc.... A. Winfield, P. Williams, etc. Regardless of how the decisions have turned out, Buffalo has groomed quality players but rarely kept them due to the economic restrictions of the small market. Pegula's only care is winning the cup, not to make a profit. That's the first time that has happened here.
