@XoTBHanoProductionXo Yes it is difficult! GPs are difficult! I'm just saying...if you are riding at this level, don't you think that properly using a curb rein is something that should be quite natural (especially considering her extensive equitation experience) lol Just an opinion. Calm down.
Personally (this is just me and what I see and what I've done) I don't like bit converters. The Pelham has two reins for more control yes, but they each serve a different purpose, the main rein is used for a constant connection, and the curb is used when you need to tell your horse something quickly and/or get his attention. They each need different contact.
I get what you say about adjusting reins constantly, but once you ride in a Pelham enough it is no big deal. ;-)
A shame she increased the speed so much towards the end, caused the horse to jump flat and knock down the rails. Anyway, she really has come a long way!!!
you see i ride German(and European) horses and the only time we use the reins is to fix them. to steer and move forward we use all leg and not rein, only if they are acting up :) that's what i'm used to
Brianne Goutal has a lot of talent. do you think the judging is fixed at McClay Finals? or do you think her and her horse earned it? She is very lucky to have this opportunity to compete at this level of Show Jumping at a young age..
I agree with the bit converter 100% it works great on my horses. But until youve ridden at that level I dont think giving advice to another rider is worth either of your time. Happy showing. .LC.
She is really good, looks like her and this horse get along really well. It is a shame she got 12 faults, but they went for it. anything can happen in the prix
To me she's great at jumpers. she's already improved so much from the maclay and horse power. She really tries to help the horse over fences. Most of thoses rails were the horse's fault, but he is sure talented too :)
nothing in riding is ever the horse's fault :] yes, he did hit the rails, but the true cause of it is always the rider's fault, whether the rider has a bad distance or not putting leg on or whatever. not saying she's a bad rider, just saying mistakes are generally the rider's fault
Brianne has come so far I feel from her Mon Gamin and Maclay days. Her riding has improved so much and i believe after being here in Wellington, she took the blue in Lake Placid, NY horse show.
why not? she is amazing on the flat, although it is plain to see how her expensive horse just brings her around. She will get better with experience..
Good lord, you're just jealous. Quit having temper tantrums because nobody's handing you the reins to horses as nice as the ones Brianne has earned herself the right to sit on. Yes it's an expensive horse...but definitely not because it's an easy ride. Start trashing other riders when you're riding GP courses as nicely as she can. Until then, quit embaressing yourself by showing how little you know
She probably would have done better if she sat down a little more in front of the jumps (I do the same thing) but other than that she did great and is an excelent rider.
does anyone know what she placed??

Brianne no talent Goutal. She's too young and too talentless to ride at this level.

i think shes rllyy good. nice horses are harder to ride because they are athletic and can easily buck or take off and they have more of an attitude.
brookfieldeq 2 years ago
exactly. most horses are priced based on ability not rideability
