I have a simple question, will you this time make a PAL optimised version? I mean its really a pain to have to play this game in slowmotion like the first game :S
@konio83 It's unfortunate, but it can't easily be done. It'd require rewrites of practically everything, and even then, the speeds wouldn't be perfect due to 5/6 being a number that just doesn't divide well into an integer.
@SivakD I understand its already hard to code an intire NES game from scratch. Thank you for the quick response and please keep your awesome work you really are a great developer thank you for the awesome games you give us :)
You removed the jump counter? I can understand it being a bit distracting, but I've gotten a good amount of use out of it. Don't you think you could give the option to turn it off/on instead of removing it completely? That's what you did with the wall grip controls.
Looks great!Awesome job, again!I can't wait to order this as soon as it becomes available. You should consider doing preorders,i have a feeling demand is going to be high.Hope you keep the games coming! You have a gift and the retro gaming community really appreciates you and your work.Battle Kid 3? I hope so!! Also for anyone wondering, Retrozone aka retrousb.com is trustworthy and delivers a quality product.Shipping is usually quick but varies depending on # of orders they have.Dont stress.:)
@Bravosama Screwattack will probably let me be in and out of their booth like last year, but I haven't received notification yet that they've approved my panel. I will make a Magfest-related news video when I know more.
I also wish there was another way to buy it beside Retrousb. Something along the line of buying the digital version for cheaper than the physical cartridge. I think you are losing a lot of money by going cart / Retrousb only but then again it must be part of the deal you have with Retrousb. It's gonna get dumped eventually anyway and I'm sure a lot more peoples would be willing to buy the ROM directly from you if they had the possibility of doing so and still encourage you.
that is a nice cover art, kudos sivak, i look forward to purchasing this, i only wish you dont release it threw retrousb, i had the WROST experiance with them.... 3 months to have it shipped to canada, 2 months processing, 1 month shipping, thats a tad nuts, haha
Can't wait for the release. I just hope I'll have money by then, I'll definitely be streaming through this just like the first one haha, hopefully the invevitable petuniax 2.0 equivalent won't destroy me like the first one.
HVGN's artist friend did the label art? That's awesome. I love how the art is in a over-detailed and epic design, much like many of the NES game labels.
WOW!!! That looks so good and I love the art work!!!!! Please tell me your going to have a box release with this game. It would be really great if it looked just like a Nintendo box, but with that amazing art work on the front and awesome screen prints of the game on the back! Great work on this I'm really impressed and can't wait to give you my money :)

@SivakD It serves europe right for refusing to pay for the 60 hertz license. they had to go and be different and go with 50 hertz.

Is there going to be a beyond-easy difficulty in which the game would be more beatable? /:-)

Sad Thing: since I have no way to buy nor play, I have to wait for someone to dump it into a ROM format. Sorry, Sivak. D:

Can you not combine the death count password and the password into one string?
bigun89 3 months ago
@bigun89 Well, I figured the method I did here would just be way easier to make. Some folks might not care to log their death count.

Well, she wasn't particularly feminine before...
And now Timmy looks like a girl, but I suppose that's the anime-y art style...

I thought Timmy was a boy in the 1st game. He's a girl now? Kinda not making sense but well... I don't mind.

@KiiroBomber Hahaha! Now some people think Timmy is a girl :-D
Sivak was referring to the baddie that he fights; the one with the glasses is female....

@KiiroBomber If you actually listened to the video, you would know that the creator always had battle kid as a girl in mind.
