Hi, ive had reason for over a year now and im still having trouble matching melody to percussion, I know some of the notes have to be on the beat lines, but this is not always possible, especially
when your notes are 1 or 3/16ths apart ,also if you have a melody thats split into 3 small parts with a gap in between each part, where does each part start? thx in advance
I love it that you guys are willing to help others understand and apply these techniques but you gotta remember that you know and we don't. I need to see what your fast mouse clicking is doing. And you omit explaining some of the clicks like we are supposed to already know. I stop by to learn and I think it is sometime taken for granted we see every move of the mouse.
You seems to be a rushing through the video. Thanks for your time though. I did get some helpful things out of it.
@AcePincter - I love this sound, definately going to try this out. Does this mean that all the samples on Redrum will play through the one channel on the mixer? Thanks.
IMPORTANT! IN between 3:30 and 3:40 you say you will make it from scratch. Please do this always in tutorials. For keeners, we love to see what is going on behind the scenes. Its not just enough to pull up an effects patch and show the effect. We would rather see exactly what is modulated and how it is modulated. Great effect, loved it, super awesome fun time happy friends
Hey, have you guys seen the Windows 7 equipped StudioBLADE keyboard workstation? Its perfect for running all your favorite Windows compatible software and plug-ins! Click the link below for videos!
in a new beat i made i used redrum and dr rex loop player
when i hit play the redrum plays from the beginning even though on the timeline thingy its supposed to come it at specific points, when i export as audio file same thing happens the redrum plays from the beginning and goes all the way through the track.
wen it does get to the pattern i placed on the timeline it kind of gets distorted and has mch more bass.
@jamaicandjnado - Once you've copied the pattern to track, try clicking on the 'Enable Pattern Section' button, then the only thing playing will be the midi instead of the ReDrum machine.
Hey man i got a problem, When I copy my drum pattern to track it sounds all digitally distorted than it would running on the redrum machine. And When i Export song as Audio File The Redrum Machine automatically starts at the beginning of the song instead of the point i wanted it to start at.
Good! But a simple question: I've mapped my Midi keyboard to trigger SOLO events but when I press a key I must press it again to stop solo...why? How can I solve my problem in reason?
Okay, I have a question. How do you make multiple tempos for the same track? Like I'm trying to make a tempo change for a breakdown in a hardcore type beat, but I can only change the tempo for the whole track and not just one section. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.
@zebbedi I mean that I want certain sections to be a different tempo than the rest of the song. One part I want at 210 and the other at about 155. I think @bangny sort of answered my question, but where do you change that?
@usedtohatecellphones That's why I said be more specific, some devices have resolution settings but that isn't tempo adjustment. The only way that I can think of would be to automate the tempo of the song as and when you need to.
@usedtohatecellphones If you are using Reason and you want the song to change tempo at certain times just right click the tempo display and select the automate function.
Over the past six years I have collected and captured a very large diverse collection of sample C.D's/ Loop Kits/ Loop C.D's/ Tutorials and much more. I have all the factory sounds from every drum machine made in the last 20 years including the AKAI MPC range with MPC programmes.
Your a very good teacher. It really is too bad that propeller heads doesn't make plugins of their own effects and instruments... they could make so much more money, and people would be able to use their fx for their live audio... cant route audio to the fx in reason :( mega sad face.
