Why the baby take tub bath when his umbilical cord not even fall off??? that's not right! The baby should take the sponge bathing first until his umbilical cord fall off then he can take tub bath.

It's ok for the baby to be submerged in water in the hospital when the umbilical cord is still wet from the amniotic fluid. But after you get home you'll want to keep it dry so it will fall off.
