Great step to learn Arabic friend. I like it because you started with Standard Arabic. like this you'll be able to understand most of the dialects in the Arab world. if you need help or clarification, I am here. Good luck
Oh danke für die schnelle Antwort :) Mir gehts gut und dir ? Ich habe einige Videos von dir angeschaut und finde, dass du sehr gut Deutsch sprichst :)
loki, do they have the Assimil in english to Arabic translation instead of the french? If they do, is the quality of lessons as good? I actually liked the audio! lol! I know it is slow, but I like it just to make sure that I am pronouncing things correctly. I am no newbie to Arabic but just like with Asian languages, if you say certain words incorrectly in Arabic and you change the meaning of the word and worse case, the sentence! What other Arabic stuff do you have?
@ilovetheniqab The course is not offered in English but that has not stopped Codylanguagesblog from learning Arabic. He thinks that French is so close to English that he can learn Arabic by using Assimil and a French/English dictionary. Got to give him credit for even trying that approach!
Ciao e grazie...!
I'm an Arabic speaker and I think the course book is good. One thing I didn't like though was the audio. It's just too slow and choppy, not to mention the way they read the text. In Arabic we don't read the last vowel at the end of a sentence, but we all the others and they speech just flows. They stop too much and don't read the vowels every now and then which can be annoying. But other than that I think it's a good book.
I have this book and I think is far better than the previous version (L'arabe sans peine). They have put all the vowels for the first wave unlike the older one, in which even the early sentences were too long for starting learning such a difficult language like Arabi is. I also like the idea of introducing a pair of new letters in each new lesson until all of them are showed. Slow dialogues? Mmmm, it's absolutely necessary in order to catch all the "exotic" sounds.
I am the first viewer of this video. I have that book also in French. Je n'ais pas encore lu que quelques chapitres, mais le livre me semble bien fait. Il y a aussi de details interesants, par exemple, que le mot QALAM devient de latin CALAMUS, parce que les arabes etaient sous la domination romane dans l'antiquite.
Cependant, comme je sais deja assez d'arabe, les permieres parties m'ont servi seulement de revue. Il faut que je lise le livre entier pour constater sa utilite.
Assimil Farsi (Le Persan) is actually excellent

Wie gut bist du inzwischen im Arabischen ? Hast du nur mit Assmil gearbeitet ? oder hattest du einen Lehrer ? :)
Ich würde so gern Arabisch und Russisch fliessend sprechen können ...
Ich kann schon fliessend Deutsch, Französisch und Englisch. Spanisch lerne ich in der Schule ^^
