  • Pretty gay. More Chinese crap to sell to us retard americans

  • '

metrinch tools are made in taiwan,,,

how come america NOT make it,,,

    that is sad

  • These sockets are amazing, that wall drive thing they talk about is really why its so useful, not only that but they don't mar or scratch the nut so thats really nice too. If you google "13mm Socket Contact Points" there's a nice write up from a member on garage journal that shows why they sockets are so good. They beat out snap-on too (at least design wise)

  • Ok, first of all, what's up with that fucking moron using chrome sockets with an impact gun? Yes, chrome vanadium is "harder" than impact sockets, meaning that they'll shatter or crack first. Impact sockets are much softer so that they can absorb the blow of an impact gun. Secondly, as far as ANY professional tool, if you're stripping bolts (or the bolts already stripped), you're obviously using the WRONG TOOL. Stop "nigger-rigging" it, & either buy or politely borrow the correct tool!!

  • @Gordon302 Plus the anvil gets worn out quickly when a chrome socket is used on an impact wrench. That is why there are impact sockets and attachment used for impacts only

  • Best tools available I wish you could still get them, much better deal than snapoff tools. I wish someone else would make them.

  • no offense but any of this universal shit just screams "i strip bolts" to me

  • @Mooseboy240 I have owned these for 15 years now and they are the real deal. They have never stripped a nut and actually work better on rounded nuts. I paid $129, they now sell for +$200 on eBay. Best tool I have.

  • Just recently I decided to use the "lifetime Replacement" Warranty to replace a slipping ratchet. I failed to read the part that says after you go to the trouble to box it up and pay to ship it to them, they want you to pay $15.00 to send a replacement back to you. What the hell kind of warranty is that? A set costing this much should have a better warranty policy. And for a broken socket.....$10.00 to replace it. That is not a warranty....that is buying a new socket.

  • I doubt most people who badmouth Metrinch tools have ever used them.

  • this is just asking to round anything you put it on !

  • @FuckTheSystemHard nah, using the standard socket, ring spanner has more chance of rounding it off, these things will remove with ease a rounded nut or bolt

  • I bought this set about 15 years ago, it has never failed, even when I use an impact driver.

They indeed are the best tool set I have ever owned.

  • Usually the breaker bar breaks before the socket..

  • Bought a set on clearnace for $29 years ago at Sears, had I known how good they actually were I'd have bought the big set. They're incredibly durable and almost all I ever use. Once used a 3/4 inch breaker bar to one on a manafold bolt with an impact reducer , the socket suvived and the bolt came out. Once you get used to just picking the socket that fits on a bolt you'll never use anything else.

  • Total crap. normal open end and "conventional" sockets use the flat surface and use the entire surface to apply pressure to the most surface area.

to make socket teeth round is only reducing the area of contact making them weaker and more likely to slip or break.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Buy a good set of tools. if u dont want snapons go with a craftsman pro series.

  • @meieradam

I have a craftsman set, and have never needed them, this set has never failed to do it's job, not once.

If you had this set, you would have known this.

  • @meieradam Um, no. Regular sockets only contact on the points of the hex. If the angles are the same (Which they have to be), and there's even the slightest amount of clearance between the bolt head and the socket (Which there has to be), it can't possibly be contacting on the flats of the hex.

  • @Slaytanic454 Dumbfuck snap has been makeing flank drive tools for over 30 years same concept and the only reason everyone else can make them now is because after 17 years a patent runs out.

Wow some chrome vandium china shit tools. I would bust that shit in the first day I used it.

  • @HunterCO1 Uhh hey genius, I never mentioned a brand in my comment. I never claimed that this particular brand was any better or worse than any other, I just agreed with the concept. Take your e-rage bullshit somewhere else.

  • @HunterCO1 Hello fellow mechanic , i dont want to start a war , just giving some info , Metrinch patent is not flank drive like the snappy wrenches ( which i own ) its Wall drive which is very different. Your right about the 17 years , but metrinch has more than 3 different patent thats why Westward still had to pay and write Metrinch on the box I happen to have the Westward Metrinch kit which is 1/2 instead of 3/8 and seriously with rounded bolts they're better than my snap on flank drive ;)

  • @qaz3000 They are wall drive? what the fuck do you think flank drive is based on?? you moron your no tech and don't own snap on your a fucking idiot and just proved it.

  • Make them in the USA!Anything made in Taiwan is crap

  • I have had mine for over 15 years as well. lost my 1/2" Combo and they replaced it and sent me a new case with the new attachments about 6 years ago.

  • this is dumb. they start off their infomercial by using a 12pt socket on a 6pt bolt? and im willing to bet if they brake you are out all the money your payed. and if they actualy did some research what they said is untrue. most sockets grab bolts and hardwere on the flats so that you dont round off the points. this crap is for the know nothing handyman go get snapon, mac, craftsman, matco or something else that isnt garbage

  • Had mine for over 15 years . Wish I can find a replacement 10mm socket which I lost. Great product. :)

  • amazing that with these tools it takes so many less tools than normally would be needed since they work on both US and Metric. Less tools to tote around. Fantastic by me!

  • shows the quality and versatility of the product. Bought them they are really great and saves lots of time and trouble because you need so few tools to do the job.
