  • 6:20 I didn't know that secret :O And i know the game since I was like 4-5 years old.

  • shorty leg was from cork :O im fom cork :O

  • what kind of buttom you using to run ?

  • I find it funny since it almost seem like resident evil 2 copy alone in the dark 2 in the cents that they with the more action pack feel for the sequel.

  • Morning sir!

  • douglas macarthur is carnby, you can tell by the way he walks

  • If you try to leave, you get gunned down, hit and run style...

  • This is on GoG guys, you just have to buy the first and it comes with the other two :D

  • @fhistleb GoG is amazing.

  • too much action :S wheres the atmosphere...

  • morning sir fuck me he must have been 15 feet tall

  • What the heck was that green man said morning sir? Pearly?

  • Why are your enemies green?

  • So, Carnby can out drink sailors, fire a tommy gun with absolutely NO issues despite a normal man would be easily more than drunk by then, AND to top it all off, he can punch ghosts into a second death.

    Holy shit.

  • hey man i have a problem, when i push the statue and then run into the maze i die and in the screen it saids "you didn't answer the question!" what do i do?

  • @aelf1

That's the copy protection from the disk version. You're supposed to decrypt a combination with a diagram of playing cards (that's supposed to be in the box). As I only had the CD version, I don't know how to use it.

  • Why can´t you pick their gun?

  • Did that guy just say morining sir

  • Morning, Sir

  • I always wondered why the hell that one zombie goes "Morning, sir!"

  • @IconOfSin88 because he is not a zombie. Is something else...

  • is there an easy mode or something? cause you seem to need only 6 bullets to kill an enemy, I have to fire my thomson three times for the 7th bullet and it wastes 2 bullets, but Iunno

  • 0:23 is the creepy hand again!!! :O

  • I run this game on dosbox... it SORT OF kind of solved the pushing problem. The deal is, if I kill the baddies in the very beginning, the pushing bug occurs, if I run past them, it lets me push. The same with the underground area, it only let's me push the chest until the fat dude with the honey jar is dead. Such strangeness. (good video btw)

  • 0.27 the zombie says: morning sir.

    WTF?

  • zombie- hi guy

    carnby- hello

    zombie-die

    carnby-oh shi...

  • I had Alone in the Dark 1 - 2 and 3 :D !

  • in alone 3 were yhu have 2 give da guy a key and a suitcase it gt robbed on me by a guy before i blew it up now da guy keeps killing me...??????????????

  • i remember him saying hey you in such a gay voice

  • edward look reaaaly fat in that part xD

  • wow, 1920's-1930's boot leggers are a FRIENDLY bunch of murderers, aren't they?

  • rolf

    morning sir !!!

carnby: yes yes yes chew bullet

  • 1.10

    hahahaa hi guy

    that educated murderer

    greets you and all

  • Can you actually fail this game, by breaking a item early on, that you will need later?

  • Yes, especially during the Grace Sanders episode. If you waste the molasses and ice cubes, you might not be able to avoid capture. I'm not certain as to whether Carnby can lose an item and fail, though.

  • Ack! Good point.

  • I don't *think* so, from memory anyway. In the first game they had a touch of that (two small mirrors), but I don't think there was ever anything else in the series which allowed you to "break" progress in the games other than that. You should be safe to do whatever you like with your items (there is one part with a wine bottle you can poison, but you can choose not to use that method of killing the enemy should you so choose, if I am not mistaken).

  • flying dutchman?! This aint pirates of the caribbeens XD

  • I WALK REALLY LOUDLY. Really, it sounded like he was stomping the ground with each step. Funny.

  • 4:52 roflmao

  • GoooooooooooooooooooooD

  • The music is fun, and it makes it not as...I dunno....scary, I guess!

    Not that it isn't scary. It still is! ^^;

  • Haha, I love this! :-D

  • Zombie gangster:"Morning sir" Carnby:"It's nigthtime you bastard"*shoots gangster with Tommy Gun*

  • At 2:10 the guy was like hi sir! *puts finger on the triger and the shot goes off by mistake* I bet he was like "WTF!?!?!"

  • Are these enemies like wiseguy-zombies?

  • 1:54 why this text disappears so quickly?

  • lol i luv how he says "hi guy"

AHHHHH IT WAS SOO SCARY! lol

  • so will this run on windows vista or only 95?

  • It won't run natively on Vista (it's a DOS game), but it works perfectly on DOSBox.

  • Why i always die when i get in the maze? It just said "You didn't answer the question" or something

    What am I doing wrong?

    (Sorry for my English)

  • It's a copy protection for the disk version (It got removed from the CD version) using some cards that came with the game. I never really understood it.

  • Purple four-armed ghost...wooow....

  • "Hi Guy!" So much for horror!

  • This brings back so many memories! I think I was like 7 or 8 when this came out, I played it on my powermac.. There were some awesome games in the 90s

  • bullet holes are cured with whiskey?

  • Of course they are! Whiskey can cure anything. The neuropathy that the booze causes is enough to treat that troublesome bullet holes.

  • Rather, *those* troublesome bullet holes.

  • Morning Sir!

    Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

  • hahaha for sure :

Remind me of a Monday morning at work : )

  • How can these zombies walk in daylight, around this garden and use shotguns and Thompsons?

  • They are pirates XD Idunno, tey are undead pirates who can just do taht things^^

  • It's on which console?

  • SONY PLAYSTATION

  • Io odio mezza sega van rossom

  • were can i find this game? pls tell me if somebody knows :)

  • the bald zombie gangsters are the biggest annoyance of the game. If they're wielding shotguns, they can sometimes fire off two shots before pumping the gun. If they're wielding tommy guns, they fire constant single bursts, making it difficult to fight back. The same applies with the two tommy gun-wielding gangsters with yellow coats and hats.

  • Look at the giant zombie at 00.31. He is gigantic. Let's say Edward Carnby is around 5'10" then this guy must be about 7' or more.

  • in my aitd2 if I just went left of the manor in a concrete space carnby would levitate and fall in that place where you go after the maze

  • Yeah, have the CD version right?

  • HI GUY

  • "Morning Sir". ROFL !! I love when they say "Hi guy" too.

When I was playing this game, I found a pretty useful trick :

When you get to the statue, stay behind it, and make the two zombies face the other side of the statue. If done corrzectly, one of he zombies will shoot at you, but the statue will cover you.

Instead... He will shoot at his mate and kill him. You don't have to do this to go further, but it's useful if you run out of ammo, and want to get rid of ennemies without a single shot.

  • You know for a bunch of homicidal zombie-like creatures there actually quite polite. "Morning Sir"

  • I like the amusing subtitles and gameplay, keep it up =)

  • wtf carby got fat as hell

  • try using just one core, since most computers use two and that's just to much for an old game like this.

  • Even with a single core (like my old P4), the problem will occur. The game was made with 386 in mind.

DosBOX takes care of that, fortunately.

  • You mean if I play this game by DOSbox, that death would not happen, right?

I played this game by DOSbox and still the same

  • Nope. I only said that it would solve the pushing problem.

  • Lol Counter in dark xD

  • Get this for the Play Station (1). It is kinda slow though.

  • The fat guy disintegrated with a headbutt from Carnby... lol

  • I have a problem... I CAN push it, but if I go trough, then I die and a text says: You didn't answer the question!

    I only thought: WTF???

I killed the zombies, but it said it again. I went to the door, but I was shot down by these other guys... what can I do?

  • This is a copy protection scheme in which you have to refer in your manual. It has been removed from the CD version, though.

I never understood how it worked.

  • Hey, and how did you make it to play the CD version? ( I think the version that you show is the CD version because of the music)

I have win XP and I can't run it, and I don't know how to make DOSBox to read the cd rom

    Curious greets.

  • Mmmm. I have a question about 0:17, when you push the statue to enter the maze

I have this game, and you can't push the statue. You must kill all the zombies in the entrance and then you must step on a "grey plataform" near the mansion, which teleports you to the basement. There's no maze.

And my question is, WTF? Are there two versions of AITD 2? Because I searched in internet and I didn't read anything like that...

if you want, I can upload a video showing this.

    Confused greets.

  • That's due to a glitch if you try to run it on Windows on an high-end computer (with Windows 98). Some objects become insanely hard to push.

I didn't knew about this second entrance. I wonder if it's a bug because it makes the first part WAY too easy.

  • Well, in fact it's a "secret". However, I don't like it, I prefer playing the whole game

    Stupid fast computers xD

  • @POLE7645 When I bought Alone in the Dark:Jack is Back, for my playstation one back in the 90's, after having a hard time killing the 5 guards, I didn't know you were supposed to push that bench, and literally ran around for about 15 mins, before accidentally triggering the 2nd entrance. I thought it was what you were SUPPOSED to do, until I read a guide in a magazine about half a year later, which made me realise I'd missed out the maze/gardens. But the MS-Dos version I have doesn't have it.

  • This might sound stupid, but if you press the 'm' key real fast (turning music on and off) while pushing, you can push the anchor bit by bit till you can pass. I know its totally ridiculous but it should work

  • seems like its a lot more fun than most people make it out to be.

  • "Hi guy!"

  • and better graphix

  • it may not be as scarry but its a little more adventureous

  • this is no were near as scary as the first

  • thats probably why it isn't as popular as the first one

  • hey... i'd like to know how to run... can you tell me please? xD i can't ruun

  • Carnby seems like the only person who could drink 5 flasks of liquor and still fire a Tommy Gun properly.

  • Well I want to know what is up. With my game of course. I cant push the anchor at all, cant run, and when I turn on the sound effects on the game freezes and I lose all memory including last saved points.

  • LOL omg, brings back...sad and frustrating memories of taking up FIVE FUCKING SPACES on my memory card !

You know i could never be arsed with going through the maze, just go to the left of the mansion and your like thrown in that weird place with his partners dead body, i always pushed him off, even though it 'wasnt such a good idea'. I could never get past the part where you play as grace though...damn now i got an urge to dig this game out of the attic.

  • IT TAKES 5 SPACES???

lol, now i know why i couldn't save!!

  • That's because if I reload it before I empties the clip, I lose every bullet I had before I reloaded.

  • There is also a trick with the guys with shotguns...

If you stick close to them and (hit them with your bare hands), they won't be able to hurt you. Always look for close contact and they won't hurt you. Doesn't work with tommygunners...

Collez vous aux types avec des fusils pour les battre sans se faire toucher. Ne marche pas avec les types à Thompson.

  • Did u know that there's a secret in the first part? go to the left corner of the mansion and stand on the metal tile and you will teleport to the place when u fall and lose your items

  • LOL! I read a Wikipedia and i nitced that these zombies are really gangsters with supernature. I wonder how come these gangsta's are so polite? :D. GOtta try that game on PSX cause when i tried on DosBox it runs really slow.

  • So, what DOES happen if you step on a card other than the diamond? Will you just fall to your death, or what?

  • ya know the bgm dosen't sound that all creepy

  • when i went into the maze it said you didn't answer the question and then it kills me

  • It's the copy protection scheme used in the disk version (this has been removed from the CD version). Check your manual.

  • God, you can kill the ghost by punching it too? I always thought you could only kill it with the Thompson or revolver. That...makes it even more bizarre now that I think about it. Carnby- tough enough to kill a ghost with his bare hands.

  • These walkthrough's really make me want to buy the newest Alone in the dark game.

  • What happens if you walk on another card trapdoor?

  • Someone shoops da whoop?

  • i think its funny when he said in the translation for the rope part that you cant tie people up and interogate them

  • if u choose the card with the clubs, spades,or hearts u die lol that's strange death by card

  • Lol at the fat guy!

You just headbutted him once and POOF.

    He was gone.

  • Tommygun seems to be a VERY nice weapon in this game

  • Morning sir...Now thats some polite henchmen! :-D

  • Man I love this game, I have a question though, I noticed that the graphics looked a bit sharper than the original form of the game, is this some sort of re-release of the game?

  • 00:26 Lol bald dude said morning sir and starts attacking.

  • Good POLE tu as eu enfin le courage pour le finir. :)

Tu ma déja clenché dans le jeu (exactement à 22sec) hé oui je savais pas ou aller et me fesais transformer en passoire.

    Tu torche man. Bravo!

  • dude! NICE. so you finally finished it? awesomeness :)

i'm gonna enjoy watching these :)

  • That hand at 00:22 is a nice way to tie this sequel to the first game.

  • they use that scare tactic in all the alone in the dark games. even The New Nightmare. lets hope they use it in the new alone in the dark to continue tradition

  • For Alone in the Dark 5 they have notably missed the traditional cover art style of Carnby being backwards facing the danger with a lamp/lighter in hand, having a dull boxart instead. And with the game not featuring anymore static camera angles because of having a standard first and third person view, I don't think they have really kept this other notable tradition in the series.

  • Thats because Atari made it

  • Is that picture above the crossed guns supposed to be Carnby?

  • Either him or one eye jack. lol

  • Just like the third, drink the flasks as soon as you get them.

  • I bet trying to punch that specter monster was annoying.

As for the other cards in the hedge maze that precedes the two monsters you fed knuckle sandwiches to, they do something to you, don't they?

  • They're traps.

  • Carnby is a badass

  • Anyhows, thank you for these videos, it is more fun to watch than to play these games imo. :)

    Haha funny zombie: "Morning sir!"

  • Well, at least he's polite. :-P

  • Good point. XD
