well from what i know is that the ej257 basically the same as the ej255. the only difference is that the ej257 is bored out a lil bigger than the ej255.

EJ255 and EJ257 are exactly the same. They are both the same piece, just with different codes for their different application.

I believe the EJ257 is semi-closed deck and the EJ255 is open deck, like the EJ205 but with more displacement.
