That is true, although it actually broke back in April. I have been planning on doing a full STI drivetrain swap to match the JDM STI Motor. It is still running the stock RS trans with 160k on it, so I am surprised it lasted this long.
at least it didnt chuck out the whole tranny. all you have to do is replace 2nd gear/s or other damaged parts. it could be cheaper just to replace the tranny. but again ouch
