  • You're a wise and wonderful person.

  • @petalfaery Thank you! x

  • I love your videos and I'd encourage you to be a vegetarian and you will have a completely clear conciense about it as you know nothing has had to die. And you don't know 99% of the time how the animal you have eaten has lived and died.

  • @swdee2003 Yeah that's true :) Well I will see how I feel about it all x

  • Wonderful video! I do agree with your view of harm none for the most part. :)

  • Wonderful video hun :) I love your interpretation of the Wiccan rede (I believe that to be true as well) I also believe that "and you harm none, do what you will" should be a guiding force for everyone (not just wiccans) People today need to be more aware of how their actions and words affect others

Blessed Be and have a wonderful winter :)

  • @CelastrinaLadon Definately agreed!! :)

    x

  • @Pagyptsian I agree with you in everything except the eating of meat because I am a vegetarian :). But, I don't think there is anything wrong with eating meat. I don't eat it because i don't want to cause suffering to other living creature. But that is just me. I love your videos. Blessed be.

  • I was just wondering what your take on doing glamour spells or even personal weath spells and that sort of thing? I've heard you shouldn't do anything selfish like that but its ok if your in desperate need of money for rent or something or if someone else does the spell for you? what do you think?

  • @beautifulpaperflower If you are in desperate need of money and you have tried your best to work hard and raise it then it is ok to try a spell. The spell will be so much better if you continue to try because it will open doors for you, that rely on you entering the doors.

And about glamour, obviously I will say you need to love yourself and find the beauty that is natural in you. Look at yourself and find a beauty, you eyes maybe? That part of you is a gift from the Goddess Hathor.

  • @Pagyptsian But, if you want to grow your hair, make your skin clearer ect then I think it is ok, so long as your have your priorities right. What's wrong with taking care of yourself and making yourself healthy? :) Although if you smoke or excessively drink then there is no point doing a glamour spell.

-- That is the kind of glamour you mean right?? ^^

    x

  • @Pagyptsian yup it is! Thanks so much! Thats what I felt too but wasen't sure :) I feel better that u feel the same way about it too lol I will give it a try! :) <3 Blessed be!

  • and harm ye none===what is sent comes back====once you feel the power, remember that the goddess is within YOU. positive/negative==yen-yang==do you feel the connection with the mother goddess of love for all her cretures or?????????

  • I don't remember the term for the branch of Wicca, but there is a path that requires, "Don't do UNNECESSARY harm." I think self defense is acceptable. If someone chooses to kill you, he forfeits his own life. Men especially must resist the biological urge to procreate and dominate the gene pool unless the spouse is OK with it. Karl Marx called for a dissolution of family structure. Morality is relative. Bottom line is, it's OK if nobody is harmed. We should never do something just to "fit in."
  • @tomken8dy Very true :)

  • I hate drugs too!

I find a lot of people defend the drug (weed)

but I don't (myself) like it.

    Live naturally ya know :)

  • @cookiedew I don't like weed - though I spose it isn't as bad for you as cigarettes, which are legal :/

    x

  • @Pagyptsian I agree! I also feel cigarettes are bad

    as well.

  • rofl :) seeing an animal getting hurt bothers you more than human getting hurt? O o think i know who not to piss off lol:D , hello and blessed be

  • @kahetel13 lol, well obviously seeing a human hurt would be sad, but on films the animals are so innocent and I feel bad :P

    x

  • @Pagyptsian o k justtt checking :)........lol.......seriously, "an harm ye none" is the most concentrated form of focus and conduct ive ever run across. some add the or pre face "do as thou will" thats pretty dangerous (to the un-initiated or unlearned) so "an harm ye none" is one rule that capstones' ones practice if assiduously applied and internalized...... ok that said, wanted to add yes it does apply to animals or anything but the origin was for the craft. bye:) blessed be

  • @kahetel13 Yes that is very true, good point. :)

    x

  • @Pagyptsian glad you liked oh, (no animals were injured in the production of that statment) :D

  • I actually just became vegetarian (surprising myself). I've been to commercial farms and, I just don't like how the animals are kept. Death is a part of life, but the quality of life before that death is what I think matters. I'd almost rather have my own farm, where at least I can make sure their life is a good life until that one day when they die. I just decided one day that I was disgusted with commercial food. It's not eating meat that bothers me, it's where they come from.

  • @backwardfish178 I agree with you there x

  • @xSheIsMySinx Dooo a video!!! :D And yeah do a rede video replying to this! Cos you'll do the extra detail which is important :)

    I'm stalking your page!!!

    x

  • Ah, and it's nice to have another teenager (well, nearly adult^^) in my age, who doesn't drink, smoke or take drugs. It's really annoying sometimes when I am eg. at a birthday party and everyone gets drunk and doesn't accept that I don't drink. Well, fortunatly I have friends that support my opinion...

  • @dontreallycarexxxxxx I know that feeling! I was at a party like that last week and felt so awkward :S

    x

  • Hey, I think it is ok not to be vegetarian if it is not possible because of your family. One day you will have your own kitchen and then you can decide. I am vegetarian but I have the possibility to be one. I think it is about making compromises: Probably one can't be vegatrian but there are other things one could do for saving the environment and so on.

If you are interested in that topic I would recommend reading the book "Eating animals" by J. S. Foer. If not, then not. :)

    Blessed be!

  • I 100% agree!!!

Nicely said and your points was made very clear!

  • I had a different interpretation of the Wiccan Rede when I was a Wiccan. I always interpreted as "as long as it doesn't harm anyone else it should be alright".

But where do you draw the line ? In my idea there is nothing wrong with being under the influence (hell for all I care: they can use any drugs they like) but when you step in your car or harm others while being under the influence: now that's a big no no.

What do you think should be appropriate punishments for such lawbreaking?

  • @AmersfoortTristan I haven't considered the punishments of such before. Does jail accomplish anything? I certainly don't advocate the death penalty. And fines? Does it seem rigth to gain money from crime?

    I really don't know.

    x

  • @Pagyptsian Well. I think that the entire system of fines should be changed: instead of paying to the State one would have to pay the fine to the family of the victim as a kind of "weregild" and on top of that there should be costs of your stay in prison and paying the court costs. These weregilds could never compensate (however high) the grieve-stricken family but they would serve as a deterrent as they should be extremely high and double which each offence.

  • @AmersfoortTristan The reason why it is not paid to the State is because the State only serves as a mediator of justice and it should be wrong to let it make money on crime... because that's basically what they are doing.

    X

  • @AmersfoortTristan In America don't the prisons make the inmantes work for free anyway, within the jail?

    x

  • @Pagyptsian That would be a nice start for here :)

  • @AmersfoortTristan If people had to pay to me in jail I am sure they'd think about not going in more ^^ But then some simply can't afford it and then the family would have to pay, which isn't fair. There are faults in every idea - I could never run a country!!

  • @hecatesmagickchild Oh no I understand :) I wasn't offended! :)

    x

  • @hecatesmagickchild lol love the honestly there! That's fine. Really what I mean by harm is causing sad-emotional pain. (Getting UNWILLINGLY physically abused causes inner pain too and pain that you dont WANT on the body.)

    So go for it!

  • @hecatesmagickchild Thank you :)

  • since the day i read scott cunningham i will never go back on what he wrote harm none do not hert others also do not hurt yourself we are the children of the god and goddess by hurting yourself you are hurting them .

  • @MISSredroselover Excellent point! That is very true.

  • Wonderful video! I have the same views on the Rede. The Rede causes me to think long and hard about what I'm about to do, and thinking it over helps me realize whether or not something will harm another, myself, the environment, animals, etc. It also helps me not to act too hastily, basically think before I act. And this applies to magick, as well as the mundane world.

  • @AuroraMoonWolf Very well said :)

  • It's obviously impossible to live a completely harmless life all the time, but I think the rede wants us to try at least.

  • @TheManAloneChannel Yeah, for me it isn't law. It is just a moral code. I don't think i will ever be punished for going against it when needs be.

  • Whenever moths fly into my house, everyone else wants to kill them with a bug zapper, but I catch them and take them outside. But if I'm mauled by a puma while walking outside, obviously I won't hesitate to subdue it. Sure, I don't want to kill it, but I want to live too. It's a circumstantial decision decided with the utmost care and responsibility.

  • @TheManAloneChannel Self defence is fine. I would be SO upset if I had to hurt and kill the puma - they're wonderful creatures - but I had to do it. The moth is harmless so needn't be unnesarsarily killed.

  • @Aniyra Oh dear :/ It is very hard when people hurt themselves, it is harder to help them.

  • @hecatesmagickchild Self defense is absolutely ok I think.

    x

  • i never really thought the idea of "harm none" all the way through as you have done here. very astute and wise. blessings to you from a crone who is still learning.

  • @roxanngl Thank you, that's great to hear :)

  • im trying to see where ya said ur ideas might not be the same as everyone else i totally agree with u on what all that u said and its how i interpret it awsome vid i think ive watched almost all of them XD

  • @spikieava Thanks!! Great to hear you agree!

  • I agree with you, everything you say is pretty much common sense, althought common sense has been proven not to be very common lol.

  • @missBmay Thank you!

  • ur awesome! I agree with u alot.

  • I believe that everything we do finds it's way back to us eventually so it is self enforcing rather than anyone specifically punishing or rewarding deeds. I generally don't think of the self harm aspect, but it makes sense also although perhaps catches up a little sooner since the after effects of overindulgence are usually closer to imediate. I like this video btw..

  • Things have to die so that other things can live, but the things we eat do not need to suffer while they live.

Humanity socially chooses to be a monogamous species but by nature/biology we are designed not to be.

She did clarify that everything she said was her opinion and that what is right for her might not be right for everyone. Expressing the desire for no one to be hurt and sharing some warnings about dangers she knows of is a noble gesture.

  • @dworldmoney Thank you :)

  • We're not a monogamous species by any means. Monogamy as a "norm" is a modern religious-based cultural trend (totally constructed), though I believe that some people are naturally monogamous. A **LOT** of pagans are polyamorous or in open relationships. Also, by purchasing animal flesh, you condone their murder. Just because you didn't do it yourself doesn't mean that it's ok. You willingly support the industry, so you support killing them. Otherwise, I agree with your other points. Blessings!

  • @illiezeulette Yeah, I though that was a controversial idea when I said it ^^ But once it was out it was out. I only accept the meat I am given because if I didn't I would starve. My family can't afford to buy seperate meals. But in Uni I'll be a veggy :)

    x

  • I have the same views on drugs and alcohol, but sex is a different story. I think that there is a lot of risk with promiscuity. What if your "just sex" is with someone who wants a monogamous relationship with you? You are hurting that person by allowing them to think that you want the same thing, or even worse, breaking their heart by telling them that they are just another stain on your bedsheets. Also, sex is a weapon and STD's are the ammunition. The Great Rite is a complex thing indeed!

  • @TheBloodbrew Oh absolutely! Yes of course, if you want safe promiscurity then it is only ok if the partner does too! :)

    x

  • Wonderful video! Thank you for taking the time to create this video and share your views. Infinite blessings!!

  • all great points! I think people want to take the Rede WAY too literally. Obviously, living everyday is harming the Earth, causing pollution, using the Earth's resources. However, that doesn't mean you need to add to it.

Great video; very well spoken :)

  • @fotogrl1 Thank you a lot ! :)

  • Brilliant Liv.

Thank you for trying to get the word out there =]

  • @tori41494 Thank you! :)

  • Well said. As a nurse, I have seen many people, young and old destroy their lives with drugs and alcohol. It is so tragic and sad. I am so thankful I found Wicca. It is so enlightening, peaceful and magical I have no need for vices. Thank you again for a delightful video.

  • @Windsong105 That is fantastic to hear! :)

  • Its amazing, I always find myself in full agreement with what you've said, and I've often found myself contemplating upon these topics prior to your videos. Thank you for posting such amazing videos! =')

  • @SarahOasis Great! Awesome that we are on the same wave length!

    x

  • i feel the same way about animals in movies.

i went vegetarian because of the way that they were slaughtered and i am also wiccan... so i have a question.

i just got a venus flytrap which involves killing bugs and i am very conflicted. i don't know what to do! i guess that i could just use some encouragement.

also some people think that getting tattoos is a form of abusing your body... what do you think about that?

  • @taniathepirate the way I view it is that it's nature, the flytrap must eat flies to survive.

  • @CountlessLies yeah but the plant is the one that feeds itself, but i guess that now that i have one in my house, that i have to do that job. *sigh* thanks for your help. do you have one too?

  • @taniathepirate I'd say that you are not the thing killing the flies yourself or doing it to be spiteful - and the plant does it as it's natural process - not out of evil. I think that is fine.

And as for tattoos. Some say the body is a canvas. I beleive that if a tattoo is what YOU WANT then it is fine. It is self expression. Same with peircings. I don't think it is bodily abuse when it is your own choice.

  • @Pagyptsian alright, thank you for answering me :)

  • Interesting view point, I myself agree with your points, I never heard of it explained in that way. Good at pointing it out! Also I just noticed your egyptian photos in the background! I am SO jealous! :)

  • @Britrules10000 Great to hear! And thanks! The collection is getting a bit big now xD

  • Great vid i have the same exact views u have on the drinking, drugs, sex nd enviroment i've seen 2 many lives be ruined becaue of drinking nd drugs nd i just dont understand why they do it. but as u said its there life nd maybe they will learn there life lessons from it )O( BB :)

  • @conjoe22 Absolutely. I'm only 17-18 and have already seen what alcohol can do to people. So I would rather not be involved in it.

    BB

  • Good topic. I've been reading the Omnivore's Dilemma which really opened my eyes to why the word organic is on many things. I still eat meat but I try to stay beef a lot.

  • @yoshisuniverse I really only eat chicken. I try to eat Quorn for all the others when I can. I couldn't kill an animal.

    x

  • @LilithPumpkinPixxie Very true :/

  • @LilithPumpkinPixxie Totally agree to that. If my mum could afford it then I would be a vegetarian.

  • I dont believe being a vegetarian is something that is required to be a wiccan, or that it makes you a better wiccan than others, just because you dont eat meat. I am not wiccan but am a pagan, I do eat meat and do hunt animals, and yes I do eat what I hunt, deer are a huge problem where I live, and if we didnt hunt them there would be more car accidents than there are now, that and venison is good. I agree and know we are a monogamous species as you said but we also are omnivores by nature.

  • @84ndman I agree, vegetarianism has nothing to do with wicca, or the moral person. But we really need to consider the morality of how we kill and treat the livestock.

  • @Pagyptsian I do agree that we need to treat animals a lot better than how they have been treated, however not all farms treat their animals badly. I live in a very rural state, and have seen cow farms where they are allowed freeroam in huge areas, but I havent seen a cow farm or sheep farm yet where all the cows or sheep are in a small pen for their entire lives like how peta likes to say they all are. I have seen it in pig farms in my region though which is sad how they get treated.

  • @84ndman Then you are very lucky and live in a lovely area. But you can't deny that there are terrible conditions all over the world.

  • I see"harm"including harming any type of life on this planet-and others-pyshically,mentally and emotionally, unless your life depends on it.For example two of my uncles hunt deer, rabits, etc. One does it because he stuggles with money and has to feed four children and a wife. The other does it so he can stuff the head and hang it on his wall. I think killing for survival is sad, but part of nature.

lol I think I just repeated everything you just said.

  • @AnnabellaChase I agree. If you have to then you have to. Otherwise no.

    x

  • you seem to be a fundamentalist when it comes to the rede^^ thats cool, I myself may not follow it as that but, to each their own. I do like your concept though and im happy to see a new video up^^ lol love and light, Bless'ed Be

  • @Tas1507 Thank you :) I appreciate that some circumstances call for more leniance, but as a general outline, if it is possible, I think this is my ideal :)

    x

  • I gave up meat because I felt the same way you do. I could never harm an animal and would never kill one to eat it. So I realized it was the highest form of hypocritical action to eat meat that someone else killed for me if I couldn't do it for myself. My morals would not bend. Yours do. Its a bit disappointing to hear someone talk about not harming animals when they are paying some hitman to do it for them.

  • @MickScarborough Don't be disapointed. I can't afford to be a vegetarian yet. My mother cannot afford to buy me extra meals. That isn't my choice.

  • @Pagyptsian there are no extra meals needed. There is no special dietary requirements for vegetarians
