Hello, there is possibility of providing more detailed this project to my email, I hope to make a generator to put in my car and pass on to my friends.
K, I know this is going to sound like a stupid question, but what is the function of the neutral plates? Not having to connect every other plate would be nice. But if they are not connected how do you get production out of the neutral plates?
Hi again. I prefered the vertical set up. To my way of thinking, the hole is in the middle, before the gas can move to the next cell and out the hose it has to fill the area from the top of the cell to the top of the hole with gas limiting production. Standing it on end alows more surface area and easier flow. Mine is not in use yet, sandblasting the washers and ataching wires to all plates with equal length wires.
I agree, I'd rather have a vertical cell, but I had issues with the water refill when I tried to run it vertical. So, that is why I redesigned it to work on its side.
I guess I just went for the easiest solution. Maybe when I have more time I will revisit the vertical design and work out the bugs.
Even though I'm sacrificing some surface area, I dont' think it will limit the cell very much.
Thanks, I was just testing it and realized that I have a leaking seal between the gasket and cutting board. I should have pre-treated the cutting board with a rubberized sealant like plasti-dip to get a flat surface.
The cutting board has a rough surface and makes it nearly impossible to get a good seal.
But even with the leak I was still able to get over 1/2 LPM at 2.5 Amps.
I'm uploading the first test and is should be available shortly.

That's how I had it before, but it didn't work good.

vertical will work if the bubbler its higher 25cm from the cell.

Thanks, I've already made some modifications that fixed the problem.
I made the cell vertical, mounted the bottle on top, and removed the bottom port.
Now it works much better.

I wonder... Could the cutting board be sanded with fine grit to smooth out the surface for a better seal?

I would think it could work
