It's not in this video, but Omega Supreme also grabbed Menasor's arm when Menasor was about to beat Superion. Omega Supreme likelwise threw Menasor around. I'm referring to the episode where you first see both Stunticons and Aerobots. "The Key to Vector Sigma" is the episode.

Nobody is denying there are 'new' Transformers, the point is the 'new' Transformers are not 'better' than the old ones. Yes the toys might be made bette & the animation may be shiny & modern but thats about it. I've heard "G1 is over" throughout the 90's but it's just not true. The talent exists to continue that story and make a better Transformes, a 'new' Transformers that continues, expands & builds upon the top quality story, characters, plot & performances of the original.
Why do you have to be so close-minded? It's awfully rude to disregard younger TF fans, or people who like the newer series. As the times change, so does the technology. Sure, it would be fantastic to go back to and continue the G1 Series, but what's done is done. If you want to continue to the G1 Series in our era than you'd have to redo the entire series. OH WAIT. Nope. No remakes. That's not good enough for geeweeners.

No. If any1 else had done G1 voice for Prime I bet it would have veen forgettable. If it wasn't for Cullens performance that character would have been forgotten amongst the thousands of 80's cartoon characters. Optimus Prime is the symbol of Transformers, Peter Cullen IS Optimus Prime, G1 IS Transformers. It's plot is better & it's characters.

Right on Henkman. Nothing ever captured the "Epic" intelligent storytelling/acting of G1. G1 succeeded and stayed in the hearts of true fans without any new series. They should have continued with that story like the Japanese series' did rather than make new shows which wern't as strong storywise or acting wise. True fans kept TF's alive with their love of G1, and it was love that forced them to renew wht franchise, except they remade it to a poorer standard, which is a shame. Matrix Forever.

The fans got screwed but a bunch of new kids loved it, it was just dumbed down enough and watered in with GI*Joe type elements. But maybe one day, Whilst Mr. Cullen & Welker are alive they will do a true Transformers Film. A Sequel, Prequel or paralell to any of the G1Transformers story and characters, a faithful rendering, expanding, of the original show.
Had the new movie took place on Cybertron with kind of a true origins feel, it would have been sweet. Actually, it should have been 90% robots, 10% naked Megan Fox. Then it would be a sweet movie.
I hate it when someone 're-makes' something that does need to be re-made. You just need to UPDATE not re-write, re-cast, re-characterise or re-make something that was pretty much perfect. Animation mistakes & a few writing errors aside G1 was as close to perfection as any cartoon can get. Any TRUE fan knows that. 99.9% of what has come after G1 has not been as good as G1 in terms of voice acting or story. New movie was more GI*Joe than TF's & whoever hired Michael Bay dunt kno shit.
It's too bad that some of the original G1 cast has passed away (like Chris Latta/Starscream). And I do agree that G1 is awesome, though the animation became way worse in Season 3 and The Rebirth. But the animation was pretty good for that timespan. As for the updating part....Would you like updates of G1 every year, for the next 25 years? No rewrites. no remaking, no recharacterising, no recasting. Just reuse soundclips for those deceased voice actors, and sticking to the same formula as the 80s

Nobody is denying there are 'new' Transformers, the point is the 'new' Transformers are not 'better' than the old ones. Yes the toys might be made bette & the animation may be shiny & modern but thats about it. I've heard "G1 is over" throughout the 90's but it's just not true. The talent exists to continue that story and make a better Transformes, a 'new' Transformers that continues, expands & builds upon the top quality story, characters, plot & performances of the original.

Sure, it would be fantastic to go back to and continue the G1 Series, but what's done is done. If you want to continue to the G1 Series in our era than you'd have to redo the entire series. OH WAIT. Nothing close minded about it. It's simple fact. Anything after G1 has never touched it's greatness. Not in terms of writing, story, voice acting or dialogue. No Transformers series has surpassed the original in the above and I maintain that time and effort and budget is better spent truly updating the classic story and characters than re-writing everything to a poorer standard. Does Fritz Langs Metropolis or "THe Forbidden planet" look a bit silly today? Yes they all look silly at times but they are all classics. In the 90s everyone hated pretty much anything from the 80s, TF's were looked down upon just like anything else from that era. The true fans are the ones who kept the lore of G1 alive. TF Cartoons that came after are dumbed down and not as emotionally intelligent & certainly not better acted. They didn't improve on the original or equal it. No. If any1 else had done G1 voice for Prime I bet it would have veen forgettable. If it wasn't for Cullens performance that character would have been forgotten amongst the thousands of 80's cartoon characters. It's not that Cullen was first, but his performance was so good and the dialogue excellent which is why it became memorable and has endured. Optimus Prime is the symbol of Transformers, Peter Cullen IS Optimus Prime, G1 IS Transformers. It's plot is better & it's characters.

You are throwing out red-herrings because your agrument is weak. I never even broached comics, I am just talking about the G1 Cartoon. G1 had superior quality of storytelling & voice acting which made Transformers the success it was. Thats what made Transformers memorable and endure through the tough times in the 90s. I bet you like Fake Rolex's as well, afterall they look the same and have Rolex stamped on like RiD/Armada have the TF Brand tacked on, but they are just ultra modern knock-offs.

dude you are a strong defender of the TFs! and you are right about alot of things. i do think Beast wars was a good show however. but it never had the same level of 'epic' success as TF did. (why i dont call it G1? long story) just like any fan of any franzice (Batman/ Startrek Starwars whatever) all we ask is that that the characters and story is respected (true fans know WHO wrote it!!) is that to mutch to ask?

Right on Henkman. Nothing ever captured the "Epic" intelligent storytelling/acting of G1. G1 succeeded and stayed in the hearts of true fans without any new series. They should have continued with that story like the Japanese series' did rather than make new shows which wern't as strong storywise or acting wise. True fans kept TF's alive with their love of G1, and it was love that forced them to renew wht franchise, except they remade it to a poorer standard, which is a shame. Matrix Forever.

lol i remember the year the toy came out....i beg for the whole year and i believe its the only thing i ever got that i wanted. Back then it was over a 100 bucks. Biggest mistake was letting someone transform it when they didnt know how too. =(

That new movie was fucking shit.
The fans got screwed but a bunch of new kids loved it, it was just dumbed down enough and watered in with GI*Joe type elements. But maybe one day, Whilst Mr. Cullen & Welker are alive they will do a true Transformers Film. A Sequel, Prequel or paralell to any of the G1Transformers story and characters, a faithful rendering, expanding, of the original show.

Had the new movie took place on Cybertron with kind of a true origins feel, it would have been sweet. Actually, it should have been 90% robots, 10% naked Megan Fox. Then it would be a sweet movie.

I hate it when someone 're-makes' something that does need to be re-made. You just need to UPDATE not re-write, re-cast, re-characterise or re-make something that was pretty much perfect. Animation mistakes & a few writing errors aside G1 was as close to perfection as any cartoon can get. Any TRUE fan knows that. 99.9% of what has come after G1 has not been as good as G1 in terms of voice acting or story. New movie was more GI*Joe than TF's & whoever hired Michael Bay dunt kno shit.

It's too bad that some of the original G1 cast has passed away (like Chris Latta/Starscream). And I do agree that G1 is awesome, though the animation became way worse in Season 3 and The Rebirth. But the animation was pretty good for that timespan. As for the updating part....Would you like updates of G1 every year, for the next 25 years? No rewrites. no remaking, no recharacterising, no recasting. Just reuse soundclips for those deceased voice actors, and sticking to the same formula as the 80s

But you see thats exactly what BW/BM et al. are! They are bullshit updates of G1 every year! They try to update by remaking and it's shit anyway! If you're gonna update why don't you continue the story and move the characters forward. The G1 Cast of Characters has so much to offer, the characters are there now tell the fucking true Transformers Story! No formula, no gimmick but loveable classic iconic characters & yes dammit if u need to re-use Chris Collins' voice then do it!

While it might be a good idea, wont the younger generations have a hard time catching up? Besides, forming a continuity from G1 would have to render G1's animation's storyline non-canon since G1 was basically inconsistent. And honestly, is it truly possible to maintain the coherence of a story for 25 years and yet attract more fans? With more "parallel dimensions", there's more room to develop the franchise. AND Transformers is primarily a toyline rather than an animated series...

You don't have to treat it as an Ad to sell a toy pal and neither did it's creators. Animation inconsistencies can be explained away ie. Weird shit happened. I mean how the F**K do they explain Strar Trek 6 Klingons to Klingons shown in 60's Series? So you need to get creative, So what? Who cares about the current generation, TF's are for the 80's Kids and if anyone wants on-board then they need to adapt. Classic bands reform but they don't recast (unless someone dies). Yes it is truly possible.

Okay, what if Hasbro does it and is only able to atract geewunners like you? And eventually, the geewunners will also probably be the first to die. Which means there will be very few TF fans left after that. Which means the whole franchise will wind up dead, until Hasbro decides to try something new, only to get complains from what few geewunners left. Remember the time just before BW? TF was dying out due to lack of new interest. If BW wasnt made, TF would be dead already!

You are assuming the G1 magic would not hold through ages because you're not a true fan and you know it. The magic of that story would burn in the heart of any child now until the end of time. G1 would have endured an eternity, without anything else to add to it like BW/BM, RiD etc. because it's the best of all those shows and more. Did Beatles fans die out with the first Beatles fans died? No. What about Zeppelin fans? No. And Yes, REAL Transformers fans in US, UK, Japan will never die either.

Nice "logic". Me being not a true fan? I've been consistently into TFs literally all my life. Can you claim that? No? Oh right..... You hate anything that is not G1, right? Well, have fun keeping that narrow view of yours.... If you cant accept changes in a franchise abt changing robots, move on. If you only see things in absolutes.... go jump off a building, because you're absolutely blind. AND the primary concern of Hasbro is to sell toys. If TFs are not selling well, they'll discontinue them.

If you're all into G1, then what's the point of your existence if you can't adapt to the present? Armada-Cybertron, Movie, heck even Animated is original it's own rights as well as G1. I'm not knocking down G1, it's a great series, but so is the rest of the TF Universes and their accompanying toylines. Transformers doesn't = G1, and everything after G1 isn't a remake. So what? If a baseball/football/basketball/hockey team wins their league this year, the accompanying year after that is a remake?

The point of my existence is remind narks like you that nothing you hold up since G1 claiming to be TansFormers has a shade on the original. They use the same names & trademarks, but their stories are shit and the dialogue is below par. None of the other series compare in terms of the sophistication of script, story telling and voice acting. Transformers started with G1 and that story was left unfinished in pursuit of shit. They should've called RiD, BW, BM etc "Gobots" instead of TFs.

Dude get a grip. I have only just repeatedly made the point you can't improve on a classic. Your analogies are dust because you'll never top the Beatles, Zeppelin, original Guns N'Roses, Metallica, Aerosmith, just like your precious bullshit simplified series who borrowed he TF name but did NOTHING with it. I am simply making the point, nothing since G1 has come close to the original in greatness. You can't remake what is essentially virtual perfection, no matter how much u love the new stuff.

Everything else is a cheap knock off of G1. Nothing since G1 bearing the label has been as good in terms of writing, story, voice acting. They have messed around with giving the robots new looks and simplified the dialogue and re-hashed the same plot points over & over but never attained the beauty of the original. Thats why they should go back to the original story and characters. Any changes they have made have not surpassed the original or even hit the same level of greatness & never will.
