I've got a question I really don't understand!

I just saw the first episode, the 2nd and 3th, but I don't get a thing:

in the first episode, shane, is a blond guy and he had a divorce from wendy .

When I saw the 2nd episode, the guy was someone else !

Even that blond kid, disappeared . Am I truly a dumb ass, or ...

Can someone help me out ? Thanks !
