  • Damn, what a tease. I would have loved to see this episode in its entirety.

  • Search Celebrity Jeopardy! 1995

  • duchovny is the only person to appear on both real celeb jeopardy and the snl spoof where he played jeff goldblum

  • Who is Cravin Moarhead?

  • an album cover

  • I Garfunkeled your mother Trebek

  • GO Stephen King!!!!

  • I ran out of grated cheese.

  • One can wonder if the pitted 2 celebs against one who has to participate in a

number of contests the qualify, I know it is

    hard because I have participated.

  • Suck it Trebek

  • Suck it long & Suck it Hard

  • Heeeeerrrrrrrs johney

  • I've watched Celebrity Jeopardy! tonight with the new set.

  • That not really a 'new' set -- they are in Vegas for the Tournament of Champions. So, they have a less complicated version of the set for traveling, that can be assembled on a stage. That's why, for example, there's a monitor in between Alex and the podiums, it's to fill in space. (And it's a pretty cool way to reveal the 'Final Jeopardy!' category.)

  • I thought that was a new set. I was waiting for that months ago.

  • "Cool," yeah right, nothing beats this set of 1991

  • don't you know theres a new set to be eard this fall 2009 sets weir new in 1984 1985 1991 1996 2002

  • right now im starting to miss the set of 2002

  • It will be the new set come Season 26

  • But it will become the set for season 26

  • The first time I ever saw this show, I was eating and I start to choak.

  • Heeeeerrrrs Johney

  • Best "Celebrity Jeopardy!" ep I ever saw was from NYC. Christopher Meloni from "L&O:SVU" was one of the contestants. (In fact, they may have had a person from each of the three shows on that day, I can't recall.) But I DO remember that when time was up in the "Double Jeopardy!" round, they used the signature "L&O" 'dunc-dunc' sound instead of their regular 'double 5 bilp' effect. It was very funny.

  • alex looks french with his mustache

  • Screw you

  • lol? better than a no brainer (american)

  • @dartrip4

HEY don't make fun of my country man. or els i'll pop you 1 in the eye

  • He is french (french-Canadian that is...)

  • I bet Stephen King wrecked the competition.

  • Actually, David Duchovny would have won if it hadn't been for final Jeopardy.

    <3David.

  • Not a surprise he did well, Duchovny went to Yale.

  • Actually, David Duchovny would have won if it hadn't been for final Jeopardy.

    <3David.

  • post the episode!

  • It's up type Celebrity Jeopardy! 1995 in the search.

  • Because that is what I did, and if you want to watch the whole episode type in Celebrity Jeopardy! 1995 Part Two in the search.

  • LOL your comment MADE me laugh and grin!

  • go david!! <3 :)

  • who wins?

  • Watch it to found out.

  • WOO!mustache FTW!

  • Holy shit, I want to see how Duchovney & Stephen King fared now!

    -E

  • anual experiment in humility. lol!

  • It should also be noted that Lynn Redgrave also appeared on the very first Celebrity Bullseye back in 1981, playing alongside Harvey Korman.

  • What they did was splice half of the original 1984 theme's opening crescendo with the revised 1991 rerecording (which was done, incidentally, from the second half of the 1984 theme's opening onward...).

  • @srosenow98: i was wondering the same thing...i do remember them doing that for the super jeopardy tournaments, where they had to add a description for another contestant...not to mention the theme 1984-1987ish was about a half step lower in pitch than from that point onward...

  • It sounds a young crowd is out in audience make some noise.I wonder if it sounds more like high school students out in the audience or college students?

  • what do you mean chear?

  • Stepen King was named for one of the Final Jeopardy! categories in my Jeopardy! video game. I'm a champion at that.

  • That was unnecessarily rude. I'm burying this comment.

  • haha, that's the greatest thing ever David.

  • i would like to say i was watching jeopardy today and it was the one episode with a woman named larissa a woman named heather and a man named john the funny thing is heathers dress coat had chrome weed plants all over it now thats a proud stoner ? anybody seen this one and would like to say anything about it ive yet to see it on youtube!

  • Stoners don't belong on Jeopardy!

  • I just love the set when it starts from blue during the first round then turns to red during the double Jeopardy round. It's the best Jeopardy yet.

  • kebert xela!

  • i heard the 91 bongos

  • I love the opening very much.Recently, I heard that he appeared on a millionaire&celebrity (celebs) dating club wealthychats.c o m with a personal account there. Is it real or just a rumor on internet?

  • Do you think Alex looks better w/out the mustache?

  • I wonder how the wajors are determined in Final Jeopardy (when the questions comes and the gain/loss thereafter).

  • the contestants wager when they hear the final category, based on how good they feel they know the category...after the commercial all the wagers are already written

  • If you listen closely, you can hear the '91 bongos.

But this thing uses '84 synth.

  • I love the opening of the intro, truly my favourite...can you get this without the words?

  • I miss 'Stache Trebek.

  • Geez Alex's suit is awful!

  • I miss the old theme song to Jeopardy with the really creepy synthesizer.

  • If you think he's that bad, why don't you keep your comments to yourself?!?! David Duchovny is awesome, and very smart!!! :D

  • Alex Trebek will definitely call you stupid anytime.

And David can beat you anytime on Jeopardy!

  • Despite it being a celebrity edition, this is my favorite kind of Jeopardy! opening...today's is just blah....I liked the set, too...with the big huge JEOPARDY! letters and the blue....very nice IMHO!

  • yes, this was definitely the top intro of the series...rare to see duchovny as the shortest, but the other 2 are well over 6'.

  • The reason Lynn Redgrave is taller, is because she's wearing high heels...that's what's making her taller than David...

  • no, davids taller than the girl by 2 inches.

  • Yeah, I know, but I was correcting "teflonmagnet", 'caause that person said Duchovny is the shortest, implying that Lynn Redgrave is taller...

  • That was a waste

  • where's sean connary?

  • He's not here, and he never will.

  • thank god lol.

  • this is the REAL celeb jeopardy. not the SNL celeb jeopardy.

  • If Sean Connery appeared here, whether it's the REAL, professional, smart, brave (like when he was James Bond), polite Sean, or the annoying, selfish, greedy, stupid, foolish, stubborn, and very angry SNL phony, the show would TOTALLY never have a celebrity episode again!

  • Is it just me or did most jeopardy episodes by this time cut out the initial synth beginning? I seem to remember it being gone for the most part by the time this aired.

  • Actually, listening again, this appears to use a stitched together version of the theme. Note that lack of bongos until 0:18.

  • Sean Connery is freakin' hilarious!

That's the only reason I watched this!

  • i have a celebrity jeopardy video with will farrell too! check it out.

  • oh i want to see it. i bet david duchovny ruled it. he got what it takes.

  • lol, actual celebrity jeopardy, well fuck this shit i aint watching this!!!

  • Is this Celebrity Jeapordy from Saturday Night Live!? Cuz the Celebrity Jeopardy from SNL is HILARIOUS!

  • Of course not!!! This is actual "Jeopardy!" featuring Celebrities all around America...the one on SNL do practical jokes, and usually a guy acting like Sean Connery make fun of Alex....that's totally rude if it happened for real....that'd offend Alex Trebek REAL BAD :///

  • Suck on it Trebek.

    Suck it long,

    And suck it hard.

  • I remember watching this whole episode when it was on Game Show Network like 6 or 7 years ago.

  • I like that Alex used to come up on stage! then the doors like Bob Barker does!

  • Dude. Is this for real?

  • Was this the only time in the 1991-1997 season they played the long version of the intro?

  • whos that laughing LOL?

  • Sounds like Lynn Redgrave is doin' the laughing...hahaha....

  • I agree this Jeopardy! set kicked ass. And also the creepy synths in the theme song.Made it more dramatic.

  • I agree about the oepning synth theme action - with that upward progression, you know some awesome shit's about to go down!

  • I miss Art Fleming.

  • Darn it, I wanna see the rest!

  • Where is Sean Connery?

  • I know! and where's will farrell

  • This is not a SNL skit, this is a REAL Celeberty Jeopardy episode

  • rofl

  • Why the hell did they ever drop this intro? It was awesome. The Price is Right has used the same damn intro for decades.

  • I think they should NEVER have changed the theme song. It kicked ass.

  • Yeah..I just don't get it. It worked well with the show, as did the set. Then they had to go all sushi bar on us and change the theme song to something fancy..

  • Well unfortunately, all game shows are prone to change for better or worse, and usually it's worse. I guess that's why TPIR has been so successful for 35 years because it still kept its image.

Now just imagine a changed TPIR set. *shudder*

  • Well now that Bob Barker isn't hosting anymore it's all too inevitable..

  • They changed the set already. I liked the Purple/Orange/Yellow turntable a lot better.

  • I know, but I mean set-wise...if they change the classic set and turn it into something that's very unfamiliar.

  • In responce to FX772's comment yes Stephen King kicked major ass and won for his charity, if anyone is looking for this episode in its entirity I downloaded the whole episode from Yahoo video a few months ago and i'm sure its still there, by the way its from the Jeopardy! Celebrity Tourament 1995

  • this intro brings back so many memories...

  • zzzz

  • David Duchovny played Jeff Goldblum in an SNL "Celebrity Jeopardy!" sketch.

  • This wasn't the last time someone went on the real CJ AND the SNL CJ, Martin Short competed in last year's CJ and was on SNL's first CJ sketch as Jerry Lewis.

  • Does anyone have the 1994-1996 opening of "Jeopardy!"?

  • i do! i have all the old episodes

  • Can you post them here?

  • snore

  • Yeaaa, Foxy Mulder...in a gray suit? Even he can't pull that off. Ok, maybe he can, but not with that shirt. Ob, right, the game. :P

  • who won?

  • Though David Duchovny did very well in Jeopardy!, unfortunately, Final Jeopardy killed him, and Stephen King ended up winning...but not to worry though, because since this was a show featuring celebrities, David and Lynn each got $10,000 for their charities...Stephen King ended up with $11,400....

  • Can we assume that Stephen King dominated?

  • Duchovny dominated most of the show, but the final category was literature (rigged!) and King doubles up to win it

  • do you have the full opening when the logo comes out and then the set lights up and jhonny anouces the contest and dose any one have any of the frist 2 piolts of jeopardy with alex trebek if so pleas post and also if anyone has any episode of jeopardy super jeopardy or 1990-1996

  • yhea i know i liked this set of jeopardy but do you have the full opening when the logo come out and blows up

  • It'd be great if GSN shown this early episodes.

  • Can you please post the full episode?

  • The full episode is up.

  • No, gsn93 didn't post the Double Jeopardy Round.

  • Lynn

  • Just wondering, who was that laughing at 50 seconds and 1:00 minute.

  • Lynn.

  • I liked this set. They should bring it back along with how the contestants walked on stage while being introduced.

  • I love the 1984 and 1991 sets and music too. I can't believe Jeopardy! ditched them in 1997. BTW, listen to the theme and you'll notice the 1984 opening, then the bakcground has that drumming it too along side bongos.

  • I am.

  • awsome, post the rest
