also, can you really destroy your own men with your own war elephants? when i tried it, they do fall and look like they die, but then they get right back up, and none of them actually die by the elephants
is this how many soldiers you get in the beginning of the battle of trebia in the real nondemo version? that is only 800 men, and no different from demo version, but actually there is supposed to be over 20,000 carthaginians... i gonna get this game soon, so i wanna have as many info as possible can you plz inform me on this?
You won't actually see like 20,000 men on this game... only on custom battles full of useless peasants... the demo version battle is the same as the actual game battle.

Imo Rome is the best of the series... as you seem concerned, here is the truth about numbers. You can control around 2,000 to 3,000 men AT ONCE, if you add allies you can get a 20,000 men battle AT ONCE. I stress AT ONCE because you can actually get as many men as you want into battle by using reinforcements. Say you have a 40,000 men army (which I once did lol), you can get 2,500 of them into battle at once, when some die you call in reinforcements so you will get endless waves of soldiers =)

wow, that is very confusing... oh well, i guess i should wait for the game to come to know everything about it:)
but just one more thing- a force of 3000 men- how big does it look on the screen? how many tmies larger than the trebia?
so you can make diplomacies with other tribes and stuff right? so you can really build yur own army and all?? cool!
