CHR-2 are the imported japanese product, does not means other 4 types chinese high speed bullet train are japanese too. CHR-2 are the imported japanese product, does not means other 4 types chinese high speed bullet train are japanese too. i think your forgetting that japan is a tiny archipelago that is filled with mountains. constant turns and frequent tunnels. im not saying japanese technology is better but we dont really know how fast the CHR-5 will travel on japanese rails and vice versa. i also think one major difference is that japanese bullet trains run every 3 to 10 minutes while lets say the TGV will run every 10 to 30 minutes. by the way during the 30 years the bullet train operated, so far 0 deaths and only 1 derailment
