I was watching this documentary on TV when I studied to become a baker and pastry chef, and I was in tears when that sculpture broke..

It is an amazing documentary and it really shows the passion that some people have for their profession, truly admirable.

This was a wonderful documentary. Hard to imagine how thrilling and edge of your seat can be movie about food. Yet it was the intensity and dedication and all out life's work of these people that made it so thrilling. In other words, it was the attitude of the chefs that was thrilling, not the food itself. My son just graduated from the Le Monde Chef school, I'm afraid to let him watch this. Although he is not a pastry chef, the same stress for excellence applies. Who would have thought that cooking could cause grown men to cry. This is a documentary that will make even the most hardened scary movie addicts get caught up in the tension. I guarantee you that you will catch your breath, swear and cry along with their triumps and tragedies. Who would have thought....

A reality movie now, no less. Should have saw this coming. Whatever happened to escaping reality?? Like we don't have enough stress in our own lives, we have to watch others go through it too. I won't watch it.

I saw this and man did i have my greatest sympathy for the chef who got his swan destroyed and all the judges tried to cheer him up to complete the competition. truly amazing spirits!
