The reason she receives criticism is because her show is of such high quality that it naturally gets compared to the "professional" stuff that is seen on the Food Network and other places.
With some fine-tuning, particularly of the lackluster text and a little tightening of the process with multiple camera angles, she could easily fit right into a mid-day lineup on TV.
I made these today. I thought they were great except I could barely detect the orange flavor. I think next time I'll try adding orange zest in addition to the juice. Thanks, everydaydish :)
Oh and I should also mention that I only had extra virgin olive oil- and I really didn't think olive flavors should mix with blueberries, so I substituted a dollop of solidified coconut oil. They were very moist and didn't stick at all.
we made these this morning... mmm delicious! we kinda cheated, we used blackberry/blueberry vegan wine instead of blueberries and oj. They were so sweet and fruity and nummy! Topped with some maple syrup and earth balance, delicious!
Julie, How long have you been vegan? How were you introduced to lifestyle. Would you say your diet is based on the health benefits or the animal rights issue?
Oh! well there's no whole foods store where I live. There's one called "Fran's Health Natural Foods" I'm not sure if I'll find it there, but I'll see if they have it or ask.
If you read the ingredient label of smart balance, it still I think like 20% milk product. If you follow a vegan diet, you wouldn't eat this because of the milk product. If you're vegetarian, then you could just use everyday butter. Its personal choice.
I'm actually a vegetarian, but I like to try vegan products now & then even though I'm not a vegan. Yeah I read the ingredients, it's not vegan at all.
hmmmm, the miinds have been sparked...Eating healthy is now in and its great to see that..godd recipe..keep on doing the work of spreading holistic living to the world..Live Love Life (looks yummy :0)
This should most definitely be on the food network, it's kinda hard to see a lot of the dishes clearly on youtube when you maximize it to full screen. They don't have any shows dedicated to vegans on there, I wonder if we all can convince them to sign this show? :)
thank you sooo much for the vegan recipes!!!!!!!!!!

3:00 individually freeze them and put them in a bag in the freezer, a great alternative to the boxed kind! ;)

anyone know wut wheatgerm is??? 1:30
Thanx.. recipe looks great and would like to do it but wit excat ingrediants
jaizclothing 2 years ago 2
It's the germ from wheat, and you can buy it in bags or jars in health food stores. It's high in vitamin e.
You can do this recipe without the wheat germ, and the pancakes are still delicious.

Julie is their any way you could do a veggie burger?
Most of what is at the store is loaded with sodium and a lot of the recipes i have found on you tube aren't anything special.
cjwllmsn 2 years ago 3
Funny you should ask. I'm about to start working on some veggie burger recipes.
Happy cooking!
